Tokyo Island Market (a variety of specialty products from the Izu Islands, Ogasawara products)

[kimitaku] April 26, 2013 14:00

 “Tokyo Island Market”

Take the Tsukiji 4-chome intersection at Shin-ohashi-dori St. and Harumi-dori St. toward Shimbashi, turn left at the next Ichiba Bridge intersection, Namikidori Street, and are on the right hand in front of the former Odabashi.

The shop is open with the president and staff who came from Izu-Oshima Island for half a year after opening.

What we sell is a product from the islands of Izu. In addition, all Ogasawara's items are rarely seen in Tokyo.

When you ask, it is said that wild plants and fresh fish are lined up depending on the season.

Also, if the ship is canceled due to storms or weather, it will not reach here.

The president is a 300-year-old Kusaya manufacturer at Izu Oshima Haki Port.

There are saury dried saury in the store.

I asked you to talk about the migration of Sanma, pointing to a map of Japan on the wall, explaining the flow of the Kuroshio Current between Oshima and Toshima Island, and that the west wind in winter does not blow Oshima thanks to Izu Peninsula.

 What arrived by boat today

 (Yamana) Then, tomorrow's bamboo shoots

(Dried fish) These include flying fish and whisper of white horse mackerel.

Yesterday, the sea was rough on the island and there was no fresh fish.

(processed products) So, the island chili seaweed karashi soy sauce island shochu camellia oil, etc., I just saw it for the first time.

It seems that people in Chiba Prefecture buy a lot of seaweed for some reason.

 The president

Why don't you take this to me a chili pepper?

It's so spicy that tears come out.

He said with a smile that this is the taste of island peppers.

Here Tsukiji Outer Market is different from the island.

You said your business was too hard.

He said that he would like him to taste "hard kusaya".

"Tsukiji Spring Festival" is held from April 27 to May 3.

[Apricot peony] April 24, 2013 14:00

The Spring Festival in Tsukiji Outer Market has become an annual event.
This year is an enlarged version of the Golden Week from April 27 to May 3, partly due to the 750th anniversary of Shinran Saints in Honganji Temple.
ck1203_1304231.jpg
First of all, for the three days from April 27 to 29, "750 Square" appears on the precincts of Honganji Temple!

A large collection of local gourmets from Iwate, Miyagi, Fukushima and neighboring prefectures of Tokyo.
Local characters will also be gathered.

In the out-of-market market, the “750 Fair” will be held from April 27 to May 2.
Special items are packed, and luxurious products are won by lottery for every 1,000 yen receipt.

And I was waiting on May 3rd! "Half price market".

vk1203_1304232.jpg

The gem of each store's specialty is a half price, you can't sell it.
This half price market is expected to be very crowded.

I will teach you the unique techniques of the local area.
①The half price market starts at 10 o'clock, so before that, get a list of half price items of each store and a flyer of a map.

②Check the flyer and prioritize the items you want to buy.
→Most of them are limited in quantity, so they line up from stores that are likely to disappear soon.
Egg-yaki "Matsuro" is very popular, so if you do other shopping, it may be sold out.

③A hurry → The narrow roads are crowded, so it may be faster to go around the other side of Harumi-dori St. or Shin-ohashi-dori St.

④If you want to take a break, go to Tsukiji River Park or Higashiginza. → There are few places where you can sit down and calm down in the market, so if the weather is nice, go to Tsukiji River Park in Hongan Teraura.
It is a calm place where the bustle of the market is like a lie, with a lot of greenery and birds singing.
Also, if you walk 5-6 minutes, Higashiginza is home to the hottest spot Kabukiza, and there are a number of cafes and restaurants around the area where you can slowly settle down.

stamp rally commemorating the 50th anniversary of Higashi-Ginza Station is also being held.

I'll have to go to Tsukiji during Golden Week!

Body lotion of SABON (Sabon)

[Mapo ★] April 22, 2013 13:07

There is a shop for body care items alongside Matsuya along Matsuya Street.
I went in with it.

The staff feels good and I was able to try various things.

It's moist but not sticky.

It's perfect for the coming season!

I was looking for a friend's birthday present, so I decided on this (*^^*).

Mineral-rich salt and mud collected from the Dead Sea.

A specialty store of body care cosmetics and bath products containing abundant plants from Israel.

The sound of the Dead Sea and Israel seems to be very effective (laughs).

I really felt like I used it, ah, I felt like this was a mineral!

You can put a pump cap on the body lotion bottle.

I'll buy it for myself this time (* ^^*)

Brazilian coffee in Shinkawa <Cafe Paulista>

[whatever] April 10, 2013 08:20

paulista1.jpgCross Kameshima Bridge from the Hatchobori intersection where Shin-ohashi-dori St. and Yaesu Street intersect, turn left at the first intersection, Kamejima Bridge, and Cafe Paulista on the right side along the road leading to Eitai-dori St. . From Kayabacho, cross Shin-ohashi-dori St. on the back of Shin-ohashi-dori, cross Shin-Kameshima Bridge and turn right at the "Ringishijima" intersection to the left side along the road. Many people may know the coffee shop in Ginza 8-chome, which is said to have been the etymology of <Silver Bra>, but this is a delivery center that also serves as a direct sales shop for Brazilian coffee beans of the same organization as that coffee shop.

When I was worried about the signboard I happened to see and approached the entrance of the building, there was a guide that says, "Coffee beans customers are free to enter." Beyond the door, a scene like a warehouse spread, and products were piled up on shelves for each customer.

It seems that two men are working. When I personally told me that I came to buy coffee beans, one person asked me what I liked and chose some products. In the meantime, the other person brewed several kinds of coffee for tasting, and it seemed that there was also a handling of dried fruits, almonds with shells, coffee bean chocolate, etc. I was able to taste it.

This time, I purchased 200g of "forest coffee" deep roast. As a bonus, he added coffee cream to me ^^

There is also an online shop.

However, we recommend that you purchase it directly when you go out nearby.♪
The purchased "forest coffee" was fragrant and heavy taste.
