Betta pickled, the flower of Edo culture

[CAM] October 29, 2015 16:00

The following article is published in Nikkei evening edition today (October 27, 2015).

>Betta pickled, Edo culture flower-sweet, white, smart taste (food navigator)
2015/10/27 Nihon Keizai Shimbun Evening page 7, 2053 characters

Among them

"As with other pickles, Betara pickles have spread throughout the country due to the development of chilled distribution. Currently, the top in the industry is Takaya (Tokyo, Chuo) in Tokyo. He started full-scale production after the war and worked hard to rebuild Beta City, but struggled with how to appeal to being a pickle in Tokyo. The plant has been moved to Saitama Prefecture, and local products cannot be sold because raw materials are procured from all over the country. Therefore, he was certified by the National Tourism Souvenir Fair Trade Council and was designated as a recommended specialty by the Chuo-ku Tourism Association, and has been particular about Tokyo's specialty. "

It is said that a system called "Recommended specialty products of the Chuo-ku Tourism Association" is also introduced.

Oktoberfest season [Sttainy House Ginza store]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] October 28, 2015 14:00

Oktoberfest is the world's largest festival held in Munich, the capital of Bayern Province, Germany, held from mid-September to early October, and about 6 million people visit the venue every year (about 9 times the size of Tokyo Dome). Last year, about seven million liters of beer were consumed.

It seems that the trigger was in 1810, when the wedding of Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Sachsen was celebrated by many Munich citizens.

stein11.JPG

In Japan, it seems that it was held in Hibiya City and the Red Brick Warehouse in Yokohama in 2003, and now it is called the "German Beer Festival" and is being held nationwide while changing the venue from spring to autumn.

stein12.JPG

In this autumn season, there is also a German beer restaurant in Ginza where you can enjoy the feeling of Oktoberfest.

We will introduce "German Beer & Wine Specialty Store Stein House Ginza" (2-4-6 Ginza, Chuo-ku) on the 8th floor of the Ginza Bellvia Building facing Namiki-dori St.

stein13.JPG

You can enjoy direct imported German beer and German premium wine.

German beer has many kinds and different tastes, and the glass is deep because there are glasses dedicated to the beer.

(The photo below shows ice wine)

stein14.JPG

The interior is a stylish space with furniture goods imported from Western Europe.

There is also a bar counter where you can enjoy beer or taste ham sausages imported directly from Germany.

stein15.JPG

I ordered "Ice Bine" (the King of German Cuisine), "Boilweisven (white sausage)" (Munich's specialty), "The Work Laut" (compatible with sausage), and "Black truffle-flavored French fries" (always delicious).

We all enjoyed Takarada Ebisu Shrine Bettara City! (City Tour 10)

[Marsha Horiuchi of Edo] October 24, 2015 09:00

On the evening of 10/20 (Tuesday) on weekdays, we enjoyed "Bettara City" together with the guidance at the Jushi Cafe held by the collaboration station Chuo.

The Takarada Ebisu Shrine in Temmacho is the center of Edo development.

"Bettara City" continues as a city lined with offering fish and vegetables for "Ebisu-ko", and is now a traditional downtown festival with nearly 500 stalls.

There was also a new movement, and curry watermelon and eel skewers were very delicious at the Bettara Regional Promotion Association.

The name of "Bettara City" is that young people use Asazuke radish (Bettara) to congestion and call the pilgrimage women "Bettarada, Bettada", and put them on the sleeves of kimono. It is said that it became the name of Bettara because of the fun of the women.

Here, long-established stores and large and small trading companies line up the eaves, praying for business prosperity and safety in the house, and are working hard. From 5 o'clock in the evening, nostalgic Bon Odori songs and the dance circle of local people were spreading.

1) At first, the main deity of Takarada Ebisu Shrine was moved to Temmacho, where he was evacuated to build Edo Castle.
I worshiped in front of you (this Ebisu was worshiped by Ieyasu Tokugawa and was restored once with the work of Unkei).
2) Thank you for the "Betta-" circle of Atomi Women's University and the cooking recipe.
3) As the first float at the Odenmacho 1-chome Neighborhood Association drop-off, Kanda Festival, and Sanno Festival, the flag of Isako chicken here in Otemmacho is here.
It was displayed at the entrance. Thank you very much for taking a break with tidbits/Betta pickling.

In the hot air mumbun, I bought a red turnip "Bedarazuke" and arrived on my way home, hope next year will be a good year.

I went to Betara City!

[De Niro] October 23, 2015 09:00

I'm not good at radish and I can't eat takuan, but this is my first challenge to pickle it.

While various stalls are simmering, one bite of pickles for tasting.

I feel like I'm flying off the stage of Shimizu

I put it in my mouth (>_<)

Oh~? Personally, I would like to refrain from commenting concretely, but Kamogawa may be said to be a representative specialty of Tokyo. At least, it's okay because it didn't taste like takuan.

My purpose is not to pickle pickles, but to enjoy the atmosphere of the festival that takes place in front of the gate of Takarada Ebisu Shrine and its neighborhood. The hidden feature of this festival is that long-established famous stores in Nihonbashi serve limited menus and products only at this time. The lineup of stalls, which are famous as zurari, includes sample samples stabbed on toothpicks, such as Castella's "Civilizationdo", Ningyocho's "Koharuken", a long-established eel restaurant "Ise Sada", and a famous sukiyaki restaurant "Imahan". It is a first-class gourmet that allows you to taste the name of today's dinner nationwide by simply picking it.

Even so, this traditional bustle has continued since the Edo period. Is it okay to be registered as a World Memory Heritage? It's so nostalgic that you can think of it. Was the simple original scenery seen in any country originating here in Nihonbashiodenmacho?

Many festivals are held in Tokyo during this season, but this year I remember the summer festival in Hokkaido, probably because it is a bit chilly (I am Dosanko).

Many tourists from overseas came along with the locals, and the gentle smile of the stalls who would entertain comfortably with outsiders like me was impressive.

After buying a toothbrush at a famous long-established Edo shop from the Edo period, take a break at "Itamae Bar" just before it.

It seems that this was originally a sushi restaurant, and Mr. Itamae, a creative dish, opened in the same store as it was. It looks a little expensive, but it is recommended for a common and reasonable price setting.

ItaMae_Baru_menu.jpg

There are plenty of wine and sake menus, and you can enjoy unique dishes such as a slightly nationalized Untan pasta and Japanese beef nigiri sushi (¥180).

Even though I went to Bettara City, I turned to Bettara pickles and turned to a careless glu navigation system, so I was rude ~ (>_<)

Actually, next month, I will be in charge of a guide on a mini-tour from Nihonbashi to Kanda at the Oedo Tokyo Manman Festival, and it was a stroll that also served as a preview.

man_man_Festibal_LOFO.jpg
In this tour, you will step not only in Chuo-ku, but also in Chiyoda-ku, and will guide you through the downtown atmosphere of Kanda neighborhood.

It doesn't mean that another world is spreading even if you cross the border. The current 23 wards of Tokyo have increased or decreased several times since the Meiji era (it seems that there were 35 wards in 1932!) Each area partition has been changed repeatedly due to integration and other factors. We hope that you can enjoy walking around the world while keeping an eye on such history.

Tsukiji's curry is also good!

[Shitamachi Tom] October 22, 2015 09:00

Tsukiji's out-of-market market is always crowded with many people. Not only shoppers, but also tourists who want to enjoy this atmosphere at a glance are coming from home and abroad every day.

I think there are various purposes for visitors, such as "I want to eat delicious sushi," "I want to buy souvenirs," and "I want to walk around." Lunch time is always very crowded. However, it seems that there are many cases where seafood menus are selected for lunch, probably because the image of "fish market" is strong.

However, there are a number of delicious shops in Tsukiji besides sushi restaurants. There are highly acclaimed shops such as Italian and Chinese dishes, Western dishes, tempura, and coffee shops, so I would like you to visit such shops occasionally.

Tsukiji Curry _menu_R.jpg

Among them, curry shops have been attracting attention recently. In the middle of the out-of-market market, [East India Shokai] is a particularly distinctive feature with a yellow sign. If you go up the stairs beside the bean shop, you will find it on the second floor. The big red trademark is a landmark.

The curry at this restaurant is deep and carefully cooked with a unique flavor, and once you eat it, it has the charm of eating it again. You can choose spicy as well as regulars. This is somewhat spicy, so be careful for those who are not good at it, but there is an irresistible depth for those who like it.

Tsukiji Curry (2)_R.jpgThere are two types of curry: "Kamigami pork curry" and "Tuna cutlet curry". In the former, you can enjoy the sweetness and soft meat quality of pork slowly with curry flavor. The latter is like Tsukiji, a high-quality tuna is dared to be cut into pieces and incorporated into ingredients, and it is in harmony with the curry. Both are hard to throw away, so please visit them several times to try.

The owner of this shop is very frank. We welcome all those who work in the market, local residents, and tourists. In addition, people who have a playfulness and sometimes hold rakugo events in the store. This year will be held on December 1st, so please visit us if you like. Enjoy walking around the town of Tsukiji, enjoying curry, and relaxing with rakugo is a luxurious way to spend a luxurious time in the city.

This time, we introduced a curry shop that has a strong presence in the Tsukiji Outer Market. Please try the real taste.

Ginza's hideaway French ★Ranfan Kueco

[Mapo ★] 12:00 on October 20, 2015

The second French Restaurant Week was held.
To the French class people and Laang Fan Kueku in Ginza 7-chome!
Laang fan is a child, and Kuekw is a shop with a heart and heart, especially heartful name.

RIMG1787.JPG RIMG1783f.JPG

Madame and the chef came here, and I wrote that I would only make a reservation for five sets a day.
I was attracted to it and made a reservation.
Even if you eat such a shop in Ginza, you can eat it.
Ginza is the place where there are many shops that I don't know yet.

Madame was very pleasant, and my friend was lost for about 30 minutes.
The staff will pick you up, and everyone in the shop is very kind.

There is a semi-private room inside, but it is a very small and wonderful shop.
The name of the shop is the heart and heart, so the heart is used for the logo.
There was also a mark on the plate.

The first amusement is pumpkin soup. It was hot and relaxing and very delicious.
The appetizer is salmon, and the sauce of spring chrysanthemum is rare.
I thought it was bitter, but it was not so delicious!

RIMG1778f.JPG RIMG1779f.JPG

And the main one is French chicken stuffed with millet.
Certainly, it's called Barotine that stuffed and baked the skin crisply.
This main was delicious~ there was a lot of volume, and it was
It was perfect with Kyroyal.

RIMG1780f.JPG RIMG1781f.JPG

The dessert is purple sweet potato pound cake and vanilla gelato. I had a strong taste of purple potatoes (*^^ *)
I was able to relax like my own house, and I stayed quite a long time (^^;

On this day, I wore my favorite pink embroidery dress.
Madame is nice clothes and you can make the restaurant gorgeous.
I was very impressed and happy to thank you (*^^*)

I'd like to go at night and drink a lot of wine~♪
