Ginza Mikawaya Health-oriented Seasoning Sake

[Silver] March 13, 2019 09:00

"Ginza Mikawaya" is located on Kinharu Street in Ginza 8-chome.

Today, I came to Ginza for shopping to give a gift to a friend in Fukushima Prefecture.

Ginza Mikawaya's sake is used as a healthy seasoning since the Edo period, as well as restaurants in Kokyogaien and famous restaurants. My wife said she wanted to send it after watching the TV broadcast.

"Let's refrain from sweets, too spicy, and choose something that is good for health." I purchased an assortment set of sake and boiled soup. It will also ship the local area, and you will be able to pack and send other products together.

I purchased it for my own business. It is also good for sashimi, so the breadth of dishes is widened.

I want to make it a souvenir! 5 selections of cream puffs unique to Chuo-ku

[Hanes] March 12, 2019 18:00

Hello. It's Hanes, a new correspondent!
Suddenly, do you know what day March 12 is?
It seems that there is a "purse day" in the word matching, but one other thing that should not be forgotten is "Sweets Day".
I like cream puff the most among cream-based sweets, so I like it.
This time, I compared some cream puffs that can be bought in the city.

■Schukry (Sucre-rie)
As the senior correspondent rosemary sea and Mukuru introduced, we have introduced you.
There is a very popular cream puff that is "must line" and "sold out" here.
The location is near Nihonbashi Elementary School (part of the site of the Saigo Takamori mansion).

Thumbnail image of FB_IMG_1550744847733.jpg

At the time of the visit, Christmas was near, so there were about 20 people lined up before the store opened.
The cream puff is served multiple times a day.
The number is limited, such as 70 or 100 each time.
For that reason, I was asked for the order number of cream puffs while I was in line.

I heard rumors that sesame is the point of this cream puff.
I'm looking forward to it even though it's unusual, and here I was able to purchase it safely for a while!
Elegant sesame condition is preserved, but not too sesame sesame seeds.

FB_IMG_1550744820159.jpg

As you can imagine from the appearance, it has a crispy fabric.
And what is your concern?...

FB_IMG_1550744832632.jpg

Smooth cream is packed with less sweet taste.
I felt a stronger impression of vanilla than custard.
Surprisingly, the uniqueness of sesame is not bothered, so it can be recommended as a souvenir of Nihonbashi.

Address: 1-5-5, Nihonbashi Ningyocho 1-chome, Chuo-ku, Tokyo St. Haym Ningyocho Gen 1F
Business hours Monday to Saturday from 9:30 to 19:00
Regular holidays: Sunday
Official website: http://sucre-rie.favy.jp/

■Meijiya Kyobashi Store
Next, it was advertised in Kyobashi as "Recommended for souvenirs".
Delibake cream puff from Meijiya Kyobashi store!

IMG_4732.JPG

This is different from Mr. Schurley's cream puff.
The fabric is soft and fluffy.
And what I would like to emphasize personally is a cute look like flowers.

IMG_4735.JPG

I've seen a lot of cream puffs so far.
It's the first time that this is the first time!
Because of the unevenness, it can be eaten relatively elegantly by tearing it by hand without sticking it.
It may be a nice point for women.

The cream doesn't have a strong custard egg feeling.
Without strong feeling of vanilla, it makes it easy for anyone to eat.
In addition, it's smooth and creamy, so you can eat many of them.
The shop is directly connected to the station, so it is highly evaluated that you can easily drop in.

Address: 2-2-8, Kyobashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo
Business hours and regular holidays: 10:00~21:00
Official website: http://meidi-ya-store.com/store_all/kyobashi_store/

■Kohji Corner Ginza 1-chome Main Store
This time, cream puff that can be bought in Ginza, a little south of Kyobashi!
The Kohji corner is now being rolled out nationwide, but the main store is located in Ginza.
There are plenty of delicious sweets that are affordable.
I think there are many people who have been there once.

IMG_4586.JPG

The jumbo cream puff series at the Kohji corner is a 35th anniversary long seller.
Why do you introduce this time even though it can be purchased outside the Ginza main store?...
This is because it was renewed on February 22, 2019 and upgraded its level.

IMG_4589.JPG

Custard cream is made to increase the flavor of vanilla and further enhance the richness of eggs.
Whip & custard not only increased cream but also increased cream.
It seems that the richness has been added with the addition of anglaze sauce.
It's just called "jumbo", a size that doesn't disappoint expectations!
This Shoo fabric is also fluffy, and it's crisp.
Isn't it easy for small children to eat?

■Ta Hanatani-do
This time, it is a cream puff that can be purchased at Tsukiji.
This shop is known for its "cream that can be lined up"...

IMG_4572.JPG

You can buy crisp, creamy cream puffs featured on TV shows.

IMG_4570.JPG

The sharpness of the cream is far from others.
It is no exaggeration to say that there is no cavities.

IMG_4576.JPG

The rich custard cream with vanilla beans generously is impressive!
If you like cream puffers who are particular about cream, I would like you to eat it once.

Address: 1F, Phoenix Higashiginza 2-14-4 Tsukiji, Chuo-ku, Tokyo
Business hours 10:00~19:00
Regular holidays: Irregular holidays

■Ginza Midori Hanado
I don't go to Tsukiji, but there's a lot of cream around Ginza as well.
If you want to eat crispy cream puff, go to this shop.

IMG_4866.JPG

The cream puff here is also the favorite of Kabuki actor Matsuya Onoe.
It seems that there is no need to worry about the shape loss when carrying it because the fabric is bulky.
Also, I'm particular about making it.
You can enjoy a high-quality texture that leaves a slight warmth.
In addition, he was able to win the first place in the No. 1 cream puff game.
It is also a hot topic cream puff that you will want to check when you come to Kabukiza.

By the way, I introduced 5 kinds of cream puffs, was there anything you care about?
Even if you don't usually eat sweets, you can enjoy sweets in Chuo-ku on March 12.
There should be a lot of sweets that will make you smile just by looking at it.

Italian near Yasuaki Elementary School in Ginza 6-chome
It was held in Cantina Sicilyna.

The main store is catching bibuglman from Michelin Tokyo in 2017.
It looks like a specialty Sicily restaurant.

Tsukiji, Stand Curry in Underground Restaurant Area [RAS (Lhasa)]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] March 9, 2019 12:00

It is a curry rice shop located on the first basement floor of the Conwa Building, Tsukiji 1-chome.

It's a counter-only shop, and lunch is full with office workers.

Today, I ordered shrimp curry (medium spicy)

rasa201901.JPG

I think that the well-simmered spicy curry is the secret of stable popularity.

You can eat all-you-can-eat homemade cabbage sour and three other types of soup.

Variations include pork, beef, chicken, shrimp, cutlet, etc.

Business hours are from 11:30 to 15:30.

rasa201902.JPG

It's a curry shop that makes you want to go unsexual if you don't go for a while.

Sukiyaki Iseshige

[Silver] March 8, 2019 09:00

Iseshige is close to Takarada Ebisu Shrine and Jushi Square, close to Tokyo Metro Kodemmacho Station.

Open the door on the left side of the shop and descend the stairs, you will see wonderful dolls and flowers. As expected, it is a long-established store that was founded in 1869.

・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・

According to the "First Time Story Map" issued by the Chuo-ku Tourism Association, Nihonbashi Benmatsu Sohonten is introduced as "the shop of the Orizume cuisine specialty store".

Click here for the last time.

/archive/2019/02/post-6111.html

This time, I would like to introduce the history of Benmatsu.

This time, we also took care of Junichi Higuchi, the eighth generation of Nihonbashi Benmatsu Sohonten.

I took a picture in front of the store with the image at the top, half-wearing.

Then...

From the opening of a restaurant Higuchiya to Benmatsu, a specialty of lunch box sales.

As you all know, from the opening of Edo to the Great Kanto Earthquake, there was a fish shore in Nihonbashi.

In the 7th year of culture (1810), Yoichi Higuchi, born in Echigo, opened a restaurant called Higuchiya on the Nihonbashi Fish Bank.

This is the beginning of "Benmatsu".

Higuchiya was reputed for his good cooking and seemed to be very prosperous.

But the people on the shores of the fish are so silly that they are too busy to have their own time.

Even if you have a meal, you may have to stand up before you finish eating everything.

So Yoichi recommended that the remaining dishes be wrapped in a sutra tree (thin wooden board: in this case wooden fold) or bamboo skin and taken home.

This attentive became even more popular, and the number of customers wishing to take home has increased.

This is the root of Benmatsu's folded lunch box.

IMG_20190130_110445 (2)a.jpgAnd in the days of Takejiro, the second generation, he began selling lunch boxes wrapped in bamboo skin from the beginning.

In addition, Mr. Matsujiro, the third generation, changed from a restaurant to a specialty restaurant. This is said to be the first specialty store in Japan to sell lunch boxes.

At this time, the name of the shop was reduced by "Matsujiro of the lunch shop" and became "Benmatsu".

Therefore, Mr. Benmatsu is also published in the "Chuo-ku First Story Map" issued by the Chuo-ku Tourism Association as "the shop of the Orizume Cooking Specialty Shop".

Benmatsu-san's dish arranged by Tsugumichi Saigo

Toshimichi Okubo: Former Order of the Meiji Restoration, the first Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications.

Together with Saigo Takamori and Takayoshi Kido, they are called "the Three Greats of the Restoration."

Toshimichi Okubo was assassinated on May 14, 1878 (1878).

This is "Kioi-zaka's strangeness."

Earlier, he lost and died in Saigo Takamori and Satsuma Rebellion, who were defeated in conflict over the conquest of South Korea.

The ally, Okubo, who had already been separated, was defeated by this strange by the complainants in the aftermath.

Tsugumichi Saigo, who longed for Okubo and stayed in the government without following his brother Takamori Saigo, would have been shocked many times. But it was really cool and thin.

After hearing about this incident, Tsugumichi Saigo prepared and delivered a large box of dishes to the residence in Okubo.

This is Mr. Benmatsu's dish, for 150 people. For those who have gathered in the incident.

Speaking of the dishes and lunch boxes to deliver, Mr. Benmatsu would have been.

"Dark Yui" taste passed down from the Meiji era to the present day

Sweet, spicy and dark seasoning. This is the taste of Benmatsu-san that has been handed down.

At first, it may have been a means of aiming for high calories for physical workers working on the fish shore in Nihonbashi.

And because of the nature of a lunch box, it can be considered to have a long life.

However, the lunch box, which used plenty of sugar, which was expensive at the time, seems to have been accepted not by finding it but by the high society layer.

The folding of the trees has been continued to date.

IMG_20190130_115339_3 (2)a.jpg

The upper part of the image is Benmatsu's advertisement. It was from 1896.

The shape has changed a little, but the lunch box from the Meiji era, the taste of Edo before that, and it is still handed down to Benmatsu-san.

IMG_20190130_105719_1 (2)a.jpg IMG_20190130_120026_1 (2)a.jpg

After entering Mr. Benmatsu's shop, there is a wooden signboard and noren on the front.

President Higuchi said he did not hear that the signboard was probably after the war and that he escaped the raid with it. It's the eighth generation of Benmatsu.

IMG_20190130_105617 (2)a.jpg IMG_20190130_105631 (2)a.jpg

 Ainosuke Kataoka, the sixth generation

On the right side of the store, the signature of Kabuki actor Ainosuke Kataoka, and a photo taken in front of the store. Matsushima-ya, right?

Ainosuke and Benmatsu's lunch boxes are very popular.

IMG_20190128_162858 (2)a.jpg

Benmatsu of "deep taste" because he likes a clear taste.

You say it's easy to diminish the taste. But then, the taste of the tradition will be blurred.

It is said that such a change will no longer be Benmatsu's lunch.

We have a desire to continue to protect as long as there are at least one customer who likes this taste that cannot be imitated elsewhere.
