Tokyo Station Red Brick Station Building

[Koedo Itabashi] June 30, 2012 08:30

I went to Tokyo Station.

I go to see a nearby station used for commuting, going to school, and traveling.

You may think so, but I went to see it all the way.

The purpose is the red brick station building on the inside of the circle.

This is one of the redevelopment projects called Tokyo Station City.

It is intended to bring back the red brick station building to its original appearance in 1914.

Until now, the entire station building had been covered with a white construction cover, but it was removed and replaced.

It's the whole story.

It has been almost five years since the start of construction.

The bright colors of the bricks and the border of white granite jumps into the eyes vividly.

The slate on the roof is from Ogatsu in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture.

He said that he uses miraculously remaining materials while responding to the damage of the 3.11 Great East Japan Earthquake.

That said, the surrounding area is still surrounded by construction fences, so it is a form of peeking through the gaps of the fence.

The interior and the construction of the area are ongoing.

That's why there is something you can see.

Still part of the wall at the undercoating stage.

Bricks and steel cut surfaces in the corner.

Reefs and sculptures that float lightly on the tip of the protective sheet.

You can see the progress of the construction.

Don't you have something to do with this?

Yeah. It's not a thrilling point. I'm the only one.

The station building we saw before the start of construction was rebuilt into a two-story building in 1945, when the 3rd floor and the north-south dome were destroyed by the war caused by the air raid.

At a large terminal where about 3,000 trains arrive and depart each day, construction will proceed while maintaining its transportation function.

A seismic isolation device will be installed underground in a building with a history of nearly 100 years, making it resistant to earthquakes.

The construction fence contains materials related to the history of Tokyo Station and the design of the building, so you can get a lot of mini-information that you want to talk to.

The ticket gate inside the dome also started to be used early this month, allowing you to see some of the decorated ceilings.

On July 1st, the central gate ticket gate will be used.

On October 1st, the Tokyo Station Gallery opened.

On October 3, the Tokyo Station Hotel, which had been closed, will open with a new outfit.

The grand opening of the red brick station building is said to be in October.

I'm looking forward to seeing the buildings change one after another.

"The inside of Kyomaru Azuma is not Chuo-ku."

Yes, the area is Chiyoda-ku.

But it's the entrance to Tokyo, and don't say hard.

That's right. The design of the red brick station building was designed by Dr. Kingo Tatsuno, a heavyweight in the Meiji Architecture world.

The main building of the Bank of Japan head office in Nihonbashi-Honishi-cho, Chuo-ku was designed by Dr. Tatsuno.

Both are designated as important cultural properties of the country.

Thank you very much for your connection with Dr. Tatsuno.

View from St. Luke's Tower 47F

[TAKK...] June 28, 2012 13:00

stlukes1.jpg

I went to the Sky Restaurant Luke in Akashicho.

While enjoying the view from 200m above the ground, we had a delicious "Tsukiji French".

Watching the sunset, you can get a beer poured into a beautifully polished cup, and slowly darken the area, and the lights of the city emerge in a large window.

All the dishes are delicious and satisfying.

After the meal, we enjoyed the night view in the observation room and photographed it.

I could see Kachidokibashi and Rainbow Bridge, and the boats passing through the Sumida River were very beautiful.

Koransha's lovely porcelain celebration

[Silver] June 19, 2012 08:30

My granddaughter was born and I was looking for a gift to return. Pay attention to the selection, as it is a memorable item that will return the amount you receive with the appropriate item. At that time, I remembered Koransha, who was supporting the "Samurai Blue" of the World Cup South Africa tournament two years ago.

Immediately after entering the store, there is a black bamboo pottery. The splendid tableware is said to have been used for tableware at famous hotels. I've noticed, but I chose the budget and memorable items.

There are many artistic products in the store, and it's fun just to appreciate it. Today, I registered as a member and got a 10% discount on the spot.happy01 I was happy about this.

I went to a decorative roller (panda) cooking class.

[kimitaku] June 13, 2012 14:00

SUSIUKETUKE.jpgIn late May, at the Tsukishima Social Education Center.
A cooking class for sushi was held.
Go to the venue, finish the reception, and go to the kitchen.

The smile of the girl at the reception is wonderful and patili

SUSIKAIJYOU.jpgWhen I look around, I'm the only man. I'm sorry.

The instructor's teacher smiled and came a lot, a word.
I sat on my chair with some relief.

SUSIKOME.jpgFirst of all, learn how to cook rice.

To save time, use rice already cooked. If you use sushi, you can do it without fail.

I would like to stir the sushi rice with spatula.

"Use half of the bitsu and mix, transfer to the other hand again ..." It seems that some food will probably need the elements of arithmetic.

SUSIRYUU.jpgAt first, rose sushi, ... (not rose sushi)

As shown in the picture, the sushi rice and ingredients are arranged evenly.

If you imagine something, it feels like you are playing with toys ...?

Wrap carefully and cut with a kitchen knife.

SUSIBARA.jpgThe trick to cutting sushi is to carefully wet the cutting edge of the kitchen knife with water and cut it at once.As an amateur, I am hesitant, I can't cut it well, just like a saw It's like

However, the finished sushi somehow has a flower pattern. I'm happy.

Thank you very much for your praise.

Next is panda sushi

Half the 200 grams of sushi rice, half of it is slightly larger on one side and wrapped around seaweed. The size of the seaweed is different depending on the amount of rice wrapped in seaweed.

I think it's quite necessary to rotate the head.

SUSIMAKIKATA.jpgAlso, for the first time, I learned that seaweed has vertical eyes and horizontal eyes. ・・ ・ I'm shy. Wrap each one to make your eyes and ears.

"The panda's eyes are droops," and spread two eyes in the middle of the sushi rice with laver.

SUSIPANDAMAKIKATA.jpg

Wrap this is very hard, not tight, not loose, and soft. I rolled it seriously so that I could not hear the noise.

Cut a large black seaweed roll, wet the kitchen knife, and cut it.

When opening it, the feeling of opening it is the feeling of opening the Tamate box.

It may be the feeling of a potter's kettle.

How is my child, Panda?

I did it. But failure, half-faced panda, embarrassing, I can't take a picture.

"The trick to make it well is the end" ... shame? That's not true.

In order to make seaweed sowing, the middle is thick and thin is NG ...

"If not, the ingredients will not be distributed to those who eat the edges." ・That's right.

SUSIPANDA.jpg  As expected, the teacher made it

It feels like the panda is smiling in the spring sunshine.

The finished sushi was taken home, tasted together, and delicious.

In Chuo-ku, we hold various cooking classes happily.

It seems that everyone can participate.

Using your head for a relaxing time, the “decorative sushi” classroom may be interesting.

The man was me alone, but even for me who is unfamiliar with cooking, I was able to make fine panda sushi and rose sushi, and next time it is "Anpanman" in mid-June.

Various roles at Tsukiji Lion Festival

[Shitamachi Tom] June 12, 2012 13:00

From June 7 (Thu) to 10 (Sun), the Tsukiji Lion Festival, a festival at Tsukiji and Namiwa Inari Shrine, was held. Many other festivals are introduced, so this time I will approach the back of the operation.

Tsukiji Festival (portable shrine) _R.JPGThe flower shape of the festival is the imperial procession of portable shrine, but the gorgeous stage has contributed to many people.

First of all, the people who carry the portable shrine. Originally, it is true that Ujiko is responsible for it, but now alone is not enough, so many festivals have the cooperation of so-called "clubs". The club members are invited to festivals around the Kanto region to cooperate with the portable shrine cruise. Everyone likes festivals, likes lively things, and is energetic. It seems that there are times when they support each other in a distant town.

Tsukiji Festival (Musashi) _R.JPGMusic is also an important factor in enhancing the atmosphere of the festival. People called "Obayashi" play flutes, gongs, and drums well in Riz to excite the mood. We will continue to practice steadily on a daily basis and protect the sound of the Edo atmosphere.

Tsukiji Festival (gohei) _R.JPGThere is also the role of gohei. It not only leads the portable shrine, but also serves as God's dependency or as a purifying cruiser. It is an important tool because there is no mikoshi in some regions and there seems to be customs over the region with only gohei. Gohei mochi was originally a rice cake, and was named because it resembles this shape.

It is the head of peace that signals the interval at the milestone of portable shrine's cruising. Flapping is called "slap tree". There are similar conventions in Kabuki and Sumo. Since ancient times, the pillars of wood have been regarded as sacred as the place where God dwells. It is said that the ancient shrine was a pillar. In other words, claps seem to have the meaning of "protecting God's place". At festivals, the sound plays a role in exorcing evil spirits and promoting rituals.

 Tsukiji Festival (Ki) _R.JPG

In addition, many people will protect the festival in their respective roles. There are many people who are struggling in an inconspicuous place, including preparation and cleaning up. I think a festival is a comprehensive performance of "joining the power of the community".

In Chuo-ku, festivals such as "Tsukuda / Sumiyoshi-jinja Shirine" and "Fukagawa Hachiman" will be held after this. We hope that each region will cherish this traditional event. It was a few days when I felt the connection of people and the joy of bustle.
