Tokyo Island Market (a variety of specialty products from the Izu Islands, Ogasawara products)

[kimitaku] April 26, 2013 14:00

 “Tokyo Island Market”

Take the Tsukiji 4-chome intersection at Shin-ohashi-dori St. and Harumi-dori St. toward Shimbashi, turn left at the next Ichiba Bridge intersection, Namikidori Street, and are on the right hand in front of the former Odabashi.

The shop is open with the president and staff who came from Izu-Oshima Island for half a year after opening.

What we sell is a product from the islands of Izu. In addition, all Ogasawara's items are rarely seen in Tokyo.

P1000070.JPG

When you ask, it is said that wild plants and fresh fish are lined up depending on the season.

Also, if the ship is canceled due to storms or weather, it will not reach here.

The president is a 300-year-old Kusaya manufacturer at Izu Oshima Haki Port.

There are saury dried saury in the store.

I asked you to talk about the migration of Sanma, pointing to a map of Japan on the wall, explaining the flow of the Kuroshio Current between Oshima and Toshima Island, and that the west wind in winter does not blow Oshima thanks to Izu Peninsula.

 What arrived by boat today

 (Yamana) Then, tomorrow's bamboo shoots

(Dried fish) These include flying fish and whisper of white horse mackerel.

Yesterday, the sea was rough on the island and there was no fresh fish.

(processed products) So, the island chili seaweed karashi soy sauce island shochu camellia oil, etc., I just saw it for the first time.

It seems that people in Chiba Prefecture buy a lot of seaweed for some reason.

 The president

Why don't you take this to me a chili pepper?

It's so spicy that tears come out.

He said with a smile that this is the taste of island peppers.

Here Tsukiji Outer Market is different from the island.

You said your business was too hard.

He said that he would like him to taste "hard kusaya".

"Tsukiji Spring Festival" is held from April 27 to May 3.

[Apricot peony] April 24, 2013 14:00

The Spring Festival in Tsukiji Outer Market has become an annual event.
This year is an enlarged version of the Golden Week from April 27 to May 3, partly due to the 750th anniversary of Shinran Saints in Honganji Temple.
ck1203_1304231.jpg
First of all, for the three days from April 27 to 29, "750 Square" appears on the precincts of Honganji Temple!

A large collection of local gourmets from Iwate, Miyagi, Fukushima and neighboring prefectures of Tokyo.
Local characters will also be gathered.

In the out-of-market market, the “750 Fair” will be held from April 27 to May 2.
Special items are packed, and luxurious products are won by lottery for every 1,000 yen receipt.

And I was waiting on May 3rd! "Half price market".

vk1203_1304232.jpg

The gem of each store's specialty is a half price, you can't sell it.
This half price market is expected to be very crowded.

I will teach you the unique techniques of the local area.
①The half price market starts at 10 o'clock, so before that, get a list of half price items of each store and a flyer of a map.

②Check the flyer and prioritize the items you want to buy.
→Most of them are limited in quantity, so they line up from stores that are likely to disappear soon.
Egg-yaki "Matsuro" is very popular, so if you do other shopping, it may be sold out.

③A hurry → The narrow roads are crowded, so it may be faster to go around the other side of Harumi-dori St. or Shin-ohashi-dori St.

④If you want to take a break, go to Tsukiji River Park or Higashiginza. → There are few places where you can sit down and calm down in the market, so if the weather is nice, go to Tsukiji River Park in Hongan Teraura.
It is a calm place where the bustle of the market is like a lie, with a lot of greenery and birds singing.
Also, if you walk 5-6 minutes, Higashiginza is home to the hottest spot Kabukiza, and there are a number of cafes and restaurants around the area where you can slowly settle down.

stamp rally commemorating the 50th anniversary of Higashi-Ginza Station is also being held.

I'll have to go to Tsukiji during Golden Week!

Hamarikyu Onshi Garden Fuji and Peony are in full bloom.

[Silver] April 22, 2013 18:26

It seems that the peony blooms early this year. On April 19th, I went to Hamarikyu Onshi Garden.

At the end of the Yan Liao Museum, wisteria flowers are blooming from the teahouse in Nakajima to the pine teahouse.

CIMG1633.jpg

Today, there were a lot of foreign customers and photographers for wedding anniversary.

For foreigners, Yae-zakura is rare. I was collecting the petals of the double cherry blossoms.

Have a good memory as a souvenir!

There were repeaters on the promenades of Yae-zakura such as Kanzan, regretted the remnants.

CIMG1642.jpg

Let's go to Botanen, where the general rises, the boarding waiting area for Asakusa and Odaiba are right.

There is no name tag on the peony here. It would be love rather than remembering the name.

CIMG1644.jpgCIMG1644.jpg

Here too, many foreign customers came and enjoyed the flowers slowly.

Please go out, too.

stamp rally commemorating the 50th anniversary of the opening of Higashi-Ginza Station

[Apricot peony] April 18, 2013 09:00

ck1203_1304164.jpg
Higashi-Ginza Station opened in 1963 (Showa 38).
It's the 50th anniversary this year!
To commemorate this, stamp rally is taking place in collaboration between Tokyo Metro and Tsukiji Kyoueikai.

The period is from March 23 (Sat) to May 6 (Mon).
Stamps are installed at Hatchobori Station (in front of the office in the ticket gate), Tsukiji Station (outside the ticket gate for Honganji), Michikan from Tsukiji (Shin-ohashi-dori St. and Harumi-dori St. The Tsukiji KY Building 2F) at Higashi Ginza Station Concourse / Higashi Ginza Office (5 in the ticket gate).

The order is OK no matter where you go.
Once you have finished pushing everything, cut out the "application form" below the flyer at the mailing entrance in the ticket gate of Hatchobori Station or Higashi Ginza Station, fill in the necessary information such as name, and post it. You will win Tokyo Metro goods for 50 people by lottery, and 25 pairs of 50 people will win a special tuna steak lunch of the cafe restaurant "Tsukiji Bon Marche"!

And as one of them, at the Tsukiji KY Building (the corner of the intersection of Shin-ohashi-dori St. and Harumi-dori St.), the Tsukiji Yorimichikan on the second floor of the Tsukiji KY Building (the corner of the intersection of Shin-ohashi-dori St. and Harumi-dori St.), [Tsukiji, Higashiginza "Meiji / Taisho era / Showa nostalgic photo exhibition "].
You can see valuable photographs from the Kyobashi Library.
I am sure to be surprised that the place I just walked now was like that in the past.
ck1203_1304163.jpg ck1203_1304161.jpg

ck1203_1304165.jpg
In the same place, there is also a special panel where you can take pictures with the vehicle "3000 Series", which was very popular with railway fans.

In addition, the 2nd sponsored by the same time is the location of the stamp stand, and a “special sponsorship sale” by 28 stores in the Tsukiji KY Building that holds this photo exhibition!
If you present a flyer stamped with a total of two stamps at "Tsukiji Yori Michikan" and other places, you can get a discount at each shop or get a gift.
(The benefits vary depending on the store. Also, it is said that the number may be limited, so please check the flyer etc.)

For those who are thinking about where to go during Golden Week, how about joining the new Kabukiza Theater and going a little further from there to Tsukiji Temple, enjoy eating and shopping, and then join this stamp rally?

ck1203_1304162.jpg
(The stamp stand in front of the offices of Hatchobori Station and Higashi-Ginza Station is inside the ticket gate, so a ticket is required for entry and exit. The stamp installation time is from 9:00 to 20:00, and only "Tsukiji Yori Michikan" is from 9:00 to 16:00. )

Kabukiza persimmon roof performance in April

[Apricot peony] April 6, 2013 10:00

I've been there!
The new Kabukiza Theater's persimmon roof performance, and it's the first day of April 2!
ck1203_130405 (3). jpg ck1203_130405 (1). jpg

Although I had been selling tickets early on, I missed the time while I was wondering which one to look at with a variety of performances and almost gave up.
However, in the case of the "Ichikumi Seat" on the 4th floor, which is sold only on the day, I was hoping that if it was a little calm after the middle day, it would be something to do if it was arranged.

Nevertheless, as expected, I gave up that the first day would be impossible, but on the way home after completing an errand in the morning, when I stopped at the ticket counter at the first stage, if it was three parts at 6:00, I could buy it if I lined up for about an hour and a half!
There is no way to see this, and immediately at the end of the line.
When I was talking about Kabuki with the person in charge and those who lined up before and after, it took time in no time. (When the lights were lit up at 5:30, it was a great applause.)

ck1203_130405 (2). jpg ck1203_130405(5). jpg

By the way, "Ichimaku Viewing Seat" is a dedicated seat on the 4th floor where only one of the performances with several acts can be seen.
The price varies depending on the curtain, but it is cheaper than the cheapest B seat on the third floor.
It is a bit disappointing that there is a partition so that it does not get stuck in a normal seat, as it is replaced every time the curtain changes, and it is not possible to go to the cafeteria, shop, lobby, etc.

In the April performance, the third part has two acts, "Moritsuna Jinya" and "Kanjincho", so it will be replaced when "Moritsuna Jinya" is over. (However, when you buy a ticket, you can also buy the "Kanjin Book" together, so if you buy both, you can stay there.)

Unlike other plays, the current Kabuki performances rarely perform one story from the beginning to the end, and take up a famous act of different stories to become independent, and combine them into one performance. There are many ways to do it.
Of course, it is certain that those who know all the stories will deepen their understanding, but just one act there will be enough stories and you can enjoy it with a showroom.

When I was a student, I had to manage it with a small amount of pocket money, and I was very much taken care of this "Ichibakumi seat".
At that time, there were only steep staircases, and it was unreserved, so I ran up at once with a good seat.
However, in the next building, there is an elevator as soon as you enter from the dedicated entrance, so you can easily go to the 4th floor, and after all you realize the newness.
What made me even more happy was that I could see the flower path that I couldn't see before!

ck1203_130405 (4). jpg
"I can see the flower path" is very important, and in Kabuki, the main characters appear and pull in from the flower path, but on the way I always say lines and perform.
At the first glance seat on the 4th floor before, I only heard the sound and imagined it, but in the new theater, I was very impressed to see Benkei's pull in Hirokukata properly.

Of course, Kabukiza is like a theme park with the entire theater, eating, walking in the lobby, buying things that can only be bought at the shop, and seeing furnishings, decorations, and decorations. It is also a great pleasure to see.
I'd like to do my best this time and get the advance ticket.
