Nihonbashi Takashimaya New Building opens today! The toilet is amazing

[Shiba Inu] September 25, 2018 18:00

DSC_0153.jpgThe new building of Nihonbashi Takashimaya, which has been attracting attention for a long time, opened today on September 25. Restaurant areas that open at 7:30 in the morning and specialty stores that offer highly sensitive lifestyles are attracting attention....

DSC_0129.jpg

The most wonderful thing I actually went and saw!

It's a toilet!

I'm sorry that I couldn't put an image, but it's a toilet with a different concept for each floor. There are several toilets on every floor, with a spacious and calm color, with sofas, dresser rooms, and many outlets. There is also a decoration like a waiting room in the restaurant, so you can take a break.

The nursing room is spacious and beautiful like a hotel room, and there is also a plan of Pikachu, so you can relax.

A toilet...Some people may think that it is important first in commercial facilities! Until now, in the toilets of commercial facilities in Chuo-ku, the taste was Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi and the practicality was Ginza Marronnier Gate, but today the Nihonbashi Takashimaya New Building has jumped to the top.

DSC_0135.jpg

The shopping area was also very good.

Personally, isn't it the best commercial building made in the last few years? I felt it. First of all, the colors inside the building are unified with ivory and brown, the decoration is made of tactile and eye-friendly colors and materials such as wood, bricks, and flowers, and the lighting is soft and not too bright. The aisle is also large and has a simple structure that makes it easy to go around the floor, so you don't get tired of walking.

Even if you go shopping with the latest large commercial facilities, "I'm tired, so let's go home now."...Often, I didn't feel such visual fatigue here.

However, there are not many places to sit in the shopping aria, so if you want to take a break, we recommend going to a restaurant or a nice toilet. There is also a healing rest area surrounded by vegetation near the entrance on the first floor.

The shops in the store also handle products such as "It's fun to see and healed" rather than "stimulating and sharp", just like the color inside the store, so the wallet's string seems to be loose.

Also, there is a bellworm in the rooftop aerial garden! I can hear a cool squeal from Japanese pampas grass, so I recommend that too. There are no benches, so it is not suitable for a break, but you can overlook Nihonbashi.

Last but not least,

The road leading to the Pokemon Center on the south side of the main building.

DSC_0158.jpgThis is a row of cherry blossom trees, and in the spring you can enjoy one of the most scenic views in the Nihonbashi area. It is very recommended for those who like the cherry blossoms in the city.

Let's have a wonderful toilet at the new Nihonbashi Takashimaya New Building! I hope everyone will experience it.

Ebiya Art Shop "Ebiya's Aki Festival !!"

[The Monkey] September 25, 2018 12:00

This time, I would like to introduce "Ebiya Art Store" that I wished to appear on my first blog. This shrimp shop was founded in the first year of Yanbao (1673), when it procured tools to the Imperial Palace in Kyoto, it was moved to Nihonbashi in the Meiji era with His Majesty the Emperor's moved to Tokyo. The current owner, Masahiro Miyake, is the ninth generation.

Every year, there is a big sale called "Garakuta City", but this year it will be held with the name changed to "Ebiya Aki Festival !!"

Photo 2018-09-23 12 57 16.jpg Photo 2018-09-23 13 02 55.jpg

It's last year's worth of money. How many thousand yen is a large bowl with dyeing! There are a wide variety of items such as antiques, furniture, tableware, tea utensils, prints, paintings, Japanese cloth products, etc. collected by the husband around the country. The idea is to want many people to touch antiques on things that have a connection to Nihonbashi. Just looking at it, it's fun, nostalgic, and stylish Aki Festival, please go out to everyone.

Steak lunch at Ningyocho "She Otake"

[May rain George] September 22, 2018 18:00

Simple is best! There is only one type of lunch. But it's popular. The secret was in the exquisite steak!

The French restaurant "Che Otake", located just a little off Ningyocho Street, may be missed even if you check the location on a map. My eyes just go to the signboard of the yakiniku shop on the first floor, and the handwritten lunch menu affixed to the board at the feet is hard to notice, but it is noble to hand-drawn even to the French national flag.

Entrance stairs. jpg

If you go right at the back of the red sign, you will find the stairs to the second floor.

29292929292929292929292929

Lunch steak is 200g of Mexican Wakahime beef sirloin. It's clean to be 1,000 yen including tax with salad and rice.

As you climb up the narrow stairs, you will find a space divided by Japanese shop curtain on three sides. The front is a kitchen, the left is a table seat, and the right is counter seat + table seat. There are no seasonings or toothpicks on the counter or table, as well as paper napkins.

The chef who organizes lunchtime by himself is clean. If a customer sits in a chair, a piece of meat rides on an iron plate. Two passengers ride two tickets.

The word I say is just a word, "Lice is less."

There are three plates of rice, salad, and steak in front of you. The dishes are unified in white and clean.

29292929292929292929292929

I'm glad that the salad with homemade delicious French dressing is generous. It's clean to have one type of lettuce or Sunny Lettuce (sometimes in the case of cresses, a big hit!?) 。

29292929292929292929292929

Clison. jpg

The meat is 200g, and the salad is also cleson!

29292929292929292929292929

The steak is simply seasoned with salt and pepper only. It's clean to have nothing to do. All the baking methods are medium rare and clean.

Rice goes on to the salty taste of the steak. The customer's tongue is clean with the rotation of "meat ⇒ leaf ⇒ meal"!

You don't have to stay long after eating. The payment will be made with Hilary and one thousand yen bill. I left the store with a toothpick found on my way home. What a clean lunch (!) What's it?

This filthy and exquisite steak is unforgettable and I want to come here again. Every time I leave the store, only my heart is undeveloped.

★At night, "She Otake" is a full-fledged French restaurant that has been opened for two and a half years, where a chef trained at the Michelin Star store in France will shake their original skills.

Please try to experience the innocence of lunch at this shop once.

It is recommended to eat grapes after soaking them in ice water. (Compared to eat Ginza Mitsukoshi grapes)

[kimitaku] September 20, 2018 09:00

At the Mitsukoshi Ginza store in early September

"Grape mini seminar Let's enjoy plenty of Okayama grapes"

The event (compared to grape eating) was held.

After introducing how to grow each grape and its taste, we introduced it.

They eat and compare five kinds of grapes one by one.

Each of the grapes you eat in the explanation of each taste.

With rich sweetness, taste changes in your mouth. It was a very delicious and fun time.

"What kind of grapes were you good? When asked, "Please raise your hand," most people raised their hands on all grapes.

Mr. Masuda Sommelier

"The grapes are very delicious when pickled in ice water 30 minutes before eating."

You said.

Everyone, please offer Okayama grapes to the dining table in the living room during the fall.

[Until the end of September] Perfect for this season! Persimmon ice filled with Nara's uniqueness

[Hanes] September 15, 2018 12:00

Hello! This is a new correspondent, Hanes.
The other day, when I passed in front of Nara Prefecture's antenna shop "Nara Mahoroba-kan" in Nihonbashi, I visited Japan.
I saw a sticker that was so worrisome that I looked back even after passing.
It is a persimmon ice that is not shaved ice.

Thumbnail image of IMG_0347-.jpg

Go to the back of the shop for detailed information and discover the explanation of persimmon ice!
Summer (persimmon!) It is a limited persimmon shaved ice, and it seems to be characterized by persimmon puree and kuzumochi.
When I talked to the shop, this persimmon ice appeared for the first time this year.
It is said that you can eat it on the afternoon of Saturdays and Sundays until the end of September.
It ends as soon as it runs out, and it sometimes ends around 16:00 on hot days.
It seems that there are many repeaters because the aftertaste is refreshing.

IMG_0340.JPG

And there was also a reason for being a persimmon.
That is, persimmons are a specialty product of Nara Prefecture, which boasts the second largest shipment volume in Japan.
It is said that Shiki Masaoka wrote it at Horyuji Temple, where he stopped on his way to Tokyo.
"If you eat persimmons, the bell rings and Horyuji Temple" is exactly a phrase that connects autumn, persimmons, Horyuji Temple, and Nara.

Thumbnail image of IMG_0341.JPG

This time, I ate persimmon ice, which was the best of summer and autumn, and anticipating the autumn when persimmons were in season.

IMG_0337.JPG

It came out shortly after ordering!
The color is orange, close to the shaved ice of mango.
It has a thick feeling that reminds me of a melting persimmon.
And anyway, the ice is fluffy!
It is different from the crunchy shaved ice that you buy and eat food stalls.
(As an aside, Nara-like bons with deer drawn are also cute.)

DSC_2654.JPG

However, rarity and Nara-likeness are not the only!
The mochi mochi kuzumochi in persimmon ice is also a good accent.
Persimmon is a fruit with a high sugar content, but it has a moderate sweetness that makes full use of the natural sweetness.
Excellent compatibility with condensed milk that you can wear as you like.

KG1.jpg

Persimmon ice, which is elegant and full of Nara, was a very satisfying dish that is not an exaggeration to say that it is the best shaved ice I have eaten so far.
There is a limited time to eat.
If you are worried, be sure to check it out before the persimmons are lined up in the store.

[Nihonbashibakurocho] Break "Bridge Coffee and Ice Cream" while strolling around East Tokyo

[Ino-chan] September 13, 2018 18:00

The shops we introduce today will stop by when you walk around the Bakurocho area, which is attracting attention again.

Cafe Bridge Coffee and Ice Cream.

IMG_3880.JPG

The Eagle Building is located at the intersection of Asakusabashi where Yasukuni Dori and Edo-dori St. intersect.

IMG_3893.JPG

The eagle mark shining on a deep blue-colored tile that looks dark indigo or black.

This building, which has an exquisitely cool retro logotype, is also a Western-style building that has remained since before the war.

I think there are many fans.

IMG_3886.JPG

Bridge is located on the first floor of the Eagle Building.

A sense of openness created by high ceilings and large windows. It looks very comfortable.

IMG_3867.JPG

IMG_3877.JPG

I ordered a drip coffee right away.

IMG_3872.JPG

When I told the clerk my taste, he recommended a fruity Colombian product.

IMG_3860.JPG

The device is V60. Ceramic white goes well with a simple kitchen.

One of the pleasures of these cafes is that you can carefully brew "a cup for me".

I hear you say, "It's delicious."

As the name suggests, Bridge is a cafe where ice cream is delicious.

I had the most popular pistachio on this day.

IMG_3862.JPG

IMG_3870.JPG

Colombia-grown coffee goes well with natty pistachio ice cream.

Thank you, the clerk.

There are a lot of delicious things besides ice cream.

I want to win all kinds if I can!

IMG_3874.JPG

IMG_3873.JPG

No matter where you cut it, the inside of the store is fashionable. Up to the number tag while waiting for coffee

It was cute.

There are a number of interiors that would have been selected that you would not see elsewhere.

Not to mention, the moderate self-service mode is also a European cafe.

It makes me think.

IMG_3876.JPG

IMG_3884.JPG

But this is Bakurocho. Is it really that old-fashioned wholesaler town?

I've spent a relaxing time falling into a pleasant illusion.

In recent years, the number of hostels for foreign visitors to Japan has increased in this area, and the face of the people coming to the city has been steadily increasing.

It's rich in international colors.

Click here for past articles in this blog (author: Mr. Shiba Inu)

"The activity base for local travel in the city center. An interesting hostel in Bakurocho, a wholesale district!'

For me who was born and raised in East Tokyo (East Tokyo), this change has not been seen.

I was surprised. This is something that has evolved while feeling the changing times.

I would like to take a walk around the area again.
