The night walk in Nihonbashi is pink

[Silver] March 31, 2017 16:00

It became warm, and in Nihonbashi, we went out because it was lit up in line with the Edo Sakura Festival 2017.

Nihonbashi is wonderful. Is the surface of the water getting warmer? The reflected light is soft.

The illuminations between Mitsui Main Building and Mitsukoshi are also soft cherry blossoms in spring.

Cherry blossoms are also illuminated in the Fukutoku Forest of Fukutoku Shrine. "Sakura Andon" brings out soft light.

Kaju Mikasho was founded in the Tensho era. This means that more than 400 years ago, when Nobunaga Oda's world catch and history overlap.

I was born in the capital of Kyoto.

The shop here in Yaesu Underground Shopping Center also has a history of 40 years.

Mr. Kitazawa, the manager of the Ginza Kaju Tokyo store, gave permission for the interview.

Based on the headwater of Japanese incense culture, we have created a new Japanese fragrance culture.

This time, I would like to introduce the products that Mr. Kaju handles.

First of all, from incense stick. It's from high quality.

Japanese Bashi Treasure Hunting Phantom Cherry Blossom-Suspension Connecting People-[March 16-April 9, 2017 Nihonbashi area]

[GPP] March 30, 2017 14:00

The other day, I held a beautiful pink booklet in hand and saw people walking around Nihonbashi. I was worried, and I picked up the booklet. Apparently, it turned out that they are participating in the town excursion-type real treasure hunting event "Nihonbashi treasure hunt phantom cherry blossoms-a hanging from people-".

Recently, it seems that various events have been held that combine "walking around the city" and " solving the mystery".

famous confectionery from all over Japan - Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Kayuan ②

[rosemary sea] March 29, 2017 14:00

The rosemary sea is a list of "gifts and I enjoy myself" and cover it.

DSC02103a.jpgKayuan has a collection of famous confectionery from all over Japan.

Last time, I focused on product information.

This is the history edition.

We visited a shop on the first basement floor of Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store.

This time, I was also taken care of by Isemoto, the head of the Kayuan shop at Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store.

In 1950, a historical confectionery manufacturer from all over the country launched the “National Confectionery Industry Cooperative” with the aim of fostering goodwill and technology.

In November of that year, we held a “National famous confectionery Reconstruction Exhibition and Sale” at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store. Since this was very popular, it has been held once a year since the second edition of the National famous confectionery Exhibition.

However, since there were too many customers looking forward to this event only once a year, Mitsukoshi thought that a similar project could be made at the permanent sales floor in response to your request.

In November 1984, the “Traditional famous confectionery” section was opened at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store in November 198famous confectionery.

Then, the “Traditional famous confectionery” section grew significantly while increasing the number of products handled, and in 1988, it was renamed the current “Kayuan”.

He said that he will continue to focus on carefully selection and assortment so that the excitement of the taste of "delicious", "want to eat again" and "to that person" can be further enhanced.

I'm thrilled. We look forward to seeing you in the future.

Nihonbashi Edo Cherry Blossom Festival 2017 Illumination Light Up Held

[Silver] March 28, 2017 18:00

Meet with a friend in Nihonbashi. When you get off at Mitsukoshimae Station and try to enter the store from the basement, you will find a fine cherry tree at the escalator.

DSC04773.JPG

Usually the dark blue Japanese shop curtain is in full bloom with cherry blossoms as spring comes.

DSC04777.JPG

"Echigo-ya, Onushi is spring!" And there was a definite sentence on the wall.

In the passage from Choredo Muromachi to Fukutoku Shrine, it blows away in the spring breeze. It's a pleasant spring.

DSC04779.JPG

In the Nihonbashi area, the Edo Cherry Blossom Festival is held, and it seems to celebrate with illuminations in Mitsukoshi, Choledo Muromachi, and the neighborhood.

In addition to the Mitsui Main Building, an important cultural property, facilities along Chuo-dori, such as Coredo Muromachi 1 and 3, will be illuminated in the darkness of the night with a fantastic "cherry blossom color" with the motif of "cherry blossoms".
You can enjoy the cityscape of Nihonbashi, which is full of emotions dyed with beautiful and pretty light.
Schedule From March 18 (Sat) to April 9 (Sun), 2017, Location: Nihonbashi Muromachi / Yaesu area

famous confectionery from all over Japan - Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Kayuan ①

[rosemary sea] March 28, 2017 09:00

This is a rosemary sea, which covers "gifts and enjoy yourself" as a policy.

DSC02102b.jpgMr. Kayuan has a collection of famous confectionery from all over Japan.

This is a select shop of sweets carefully selected with Mitsukoshi's unique taste and sensitivity.

We visited a shop on the first basement floor of the main building of Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store.

Isemoto, Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store Leader, Kayuan Shop Leader.

Kayuan has a wide variety of confident sweets, such as gems from long-established and famous stores all over Japan, seasonal flavors, and local flavors that continue to be loved.

Therefore, it is lined up as a famous store, "famous confectionery of famous store" instead of a famous store.

And why is it delicious? It seems that only sweets with a story that can answer the question are selected.

And there are two styles, "standard sweets" that can be tasted at any time, and "this month sweets" that match the season.

The purchase is self-service form. You can freely put your favorite sweets in a basket as much as you like.

There are two types of baskets, plate size and basket size. It's also possible to buy it as much as you want.

From here, I would like to ask the Ise shop leader.

"Even if you don't want customers to travel around the countryside, I think the pleasure of shopping is that raw sweets made in the morning near Tokyo and the long-established sweets from Kyoto enter the same basket and you can choose as much as you like. That's the charm of our shop that I personally want to convey to our customers."

I would like to introduce the product.

DSC02094a.jpg DSC02095a.jpg

Ajari-mochi (Ajarimochi) in full moon, Kyoto.

It is a sweet with a tight circumference and a full grain inside.

Ajarashi is a high priest of Mt. Hiei, a high-ranking monk. It's called Ajirokasa of Ajarashi.

It's a name from there. There are a limited number of places that can be purchased in Tokyo.

On many days, about 2,000 pieces a day come out."

DSC02098a.jpg

Chomeiji Sakuramochi (center, upper and middle) in Mukaijima Yamamoto, Tokyo.

"There is a shop near the Sumida River, we handle it all year round, but customers' demands are high at this time.

It is made by wrapping Koshian with thin baked skin that Edokko customers like.

In particular, this year is the 300th anniversary of Sakuramochi. Thanks to that, our customers' requests are growing more than usual.

It arrives every Thursday and Friday at around 11:00."

DSC02092a.jpg

Kurumiko from Beniya, Kamakura.

"It's in stock three times a week, but this is also a best-selling popularity.

It's a homemade caramel made with a lot of walnuts sandwiched in thin cookie dough.

It is a sweet that is very popular with female customers and is very popular with many inquiries over the phone.

Men are also recommended as a casual gift to women around you."

DSC02105a.jpg

Pomdamur of Kobe No. 1 building in Hyogo. It's a standard product.

"It's a sweet made of apple pickles wrapped in a little bitter chocolate.

It is a popular snack that is one of the five fingers of our about 400 kinds of sweets. "

DSC02091a.jpg

Anmitsu from Kameido Funabashi-ya, Tokyo.

"It arrives in the afternoon four times a week on fire, tree, Saturdays and Sundays.

(The interview date was Thursday, around 1:00 p.m. Funabashiya was just in stock and was lined up on the sales floor. )

It's anmitsu with kuzumochi in cup size. It's easy and it's a long-awaited snack today. "

DSC02099a.jpg

A corner of tea ceremony sweets from all over the country.

"I feel that the number of people who don't make matcha is increasing.

It is a recommended corner because it has the charm that you can assortment and compare the pastry sweets here.

You can choose fresh sweets for about 250 to 300 yen per piece.

From very cute things to beautiful kneading, you can enjoy from one.

It is "selling" that you can decide based on your favorite combination."

Next time, I will talk about Mr. Kayuan's history.
