Nihonbashi Takashimaya Important Cultural Property Tour September 25 New Building Open

[Silver] September 23, 2018 14:00

I went on a tour of the Nihonbashi Takashimaya store.

Following the Pokemon Center the other day, I learned that there is a great commitment to the history of Nihonbashi Takashimaya from the time of construction, the explanation up to the designation of the department store's first important cultural property, and the design (design) in the store. I learned a lot. To commemorate the tour, we received a pin badge of the building of Takashimaya. (It's on the Pokemon clear file.)

When I put it on, "Oh! Don't know about Takashimaya! "He seems to be praised, and he's a little nasal.

 Congratulations.

This time, I used it at a small dinner party.

The first spring wave (Nanami) A porcelain vessel inherited from generation to generation by Soya.

Takashi Yotsudai has a workshop with his wife Madoka in Shimizu, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto City.

It is engaged in pottery making by combining the techniques of Kiyomizu ware in Kyoto and Koishihara ware in Fukuoka, which is handed down to Madoka.

The work will be a product that combines beauty and functionality, and will add color to the dining table.

"The feature is 'kneaded celadon', not just glaze on the porcelain, but celadon glaze is kneaded into the soil itself, and the celadon glaze is applied.

That's why there's a very deep color.

・・・ I will explain the tools before introducing the work.

Flying plane (top left)

A tool made by processing the spring of an old clock.

When the blade tip is applied to the front and back of the soil while rotating the potter's wheel, the soft soil is caught and a continuous geometric pattern is entered.

Pattern (E) Gote [Right]

When molding pots and vases, when narrowing the neck, put them inside and stretch the soil.

Ki Bella [Central]

Use to adjust the line when forming a plate or teacup.

・・Let's introduce the work. All images in this article can be enlarged by clicks.

It is a wreath by a collaboration between pottery and bamboo.

We have Mr. Hosokawa, a craftsman of the bamboo workshop Kisetsu, knit bamboo into the pottery of the celadon flying plane, and are challenged to make new things under the theme of tradition and innovation.

By putting a flying plane into the kneaded celadon fabric, glaze accumulates in the shaved groove, and a casual pattern emerges in the deep celadon blue.

There is nothing in the same form, and it is a meeting of once-in-a-lifetime encounter.

"I'll cut the bowl at the end with a potter's wheel. It seems that the soil will remain thin on the potter's wheel.

It dries naturally and cracks. I will make use of it one by one.

From the upper stage, there are also earrings at the bottom of 5,400 yen out of 4,320 yen for yen brooch large 6,480 yen small 4,320 yen.

I cut out the pattern of the plane.

There is no glaze on the side, leaving a texture.

Kashima Art Watanabe Shotei Exhibition Until September 29

[Silver] September 21, 2018 09:00

At Kashima Art from Kyobashi 3-3-2, the Watanabe Shotei exhibition is being held from September 15 to September 29.

DSCN1857 (400x300). jpg

In the shop's show window, there is a display of "Shira pigeon on plum blossoms" drawn by painter Watanabe Shotei, and a picture plate by Sosuke Namikawa.

In this exhibition, from January to December, there are twelve width pairs depicting each month.

In addition, Sosuke Namikawa's cloisonne work, which sublimates the sketch drawn by Shotei into a beautiful form of crafts, is also on display.

These two works are on display as cloisonne ware between the flowers and birds at the Akasaka Guest House.

Just the other day, at the Akasaka Guest House, I saw an exhibition 100 years after the death of Watanabe Shotei. Please take a look at the many works that cannot be seen at the guest house in Kashima Art.

tuneo201801.JPG

This is the Tsuneo Sei's Caricature Grand Prix 2018, a portrait exhibition held every year at "Gallery Yaesu Tokyo" in Yaesu Underground Shopping Center No. 1 at Yaesu 2-chome.

tuneo201806.JPG

The event will be held from Monday, September 17 to 23 (Sun).

tuneo201807.JPG

At the open call for caricature exhibition, works boasting skills related to caricatures nationwide are gathered.

tuneo201802.JPG

There are two types of tasks, one that draws free objects and one that depicts people with assignments. The assignment is Namie Amuro, a big singer who retired this year.

tuneo201803.JPG

Those who are free to draw are really wide, from athletes to politicians to talents.

tuneo201804.JPG

However, if you ask, this is the last portrait exhibition that has been going on for many years, which is almost a seasonal feature.

Rusty

tuneo201805.JPG

While saying that, I feel like I can change the shape and meet Tsuneo Sei's portrait exhibition, so I'd like to look forward to it.

tuneo201808.JPG

This time, we received your consent about the photography in the gallery, and we were able to hear from Mr. Kiyo at the venue.

Thank you very much
