Traditional Merchant Building Hamano Family Residence

[TAKK...] June 30, 2013 14:00

In the vicinity of Tsukiji, there are many quaint houses that retain the pre-war remnants.

Hamano Family Residence 1.jpg

One of them is the Hamano Family Residence, which is designated as Tangible Cultural Property residents of Chuo-ku.

It is said that it was built in 1930 (1930) as a combined house of the Hamano family, which brokered marine products.

There is a family crest on the rain gutter. It's an elaborate design.

There is also a "correct" character on the roof tiles.

The detailed design is elaborate, but it has a harmonious and elegant appearance.

The interior is closed to the public, but I think you can think of the life of merchants in the early Showa era from the exterior.

100 views of the wonder of Chuo-ku (rain) 2

[Satoken] June 28, 2013 14:00

It is the scenery I found during walking as usual.

I didn't care about it because it was a well-walking route, but I was worried because I was walking in search of a mysterious landscape.

The location is 1-4-4 Shintomicho. The Shintomi Bridge is over and the Metropolitan Expressway is running just below.

There is Onoya, famous for tabi, right next to it, so many people know it. There is something like five-storied pagoda surrounded by fences in that place.

I have no choice but to imagine it because there is no manual. It was up to you to think about the remnants of the Daimyo residence.

Hamarikyu Onshi Park in June

[kimitaku] June 27, 2013 14:00

"Hamarikyu Onshi Garden" is a garden filled with seawater. The Shiba Rikyu Onshi Garden in the neighboring Hamamatsucho is a groundwater garden.

It was made more than 400 years ago at the time of Tokugawa's sixth shogun Ienobu Tokugawa.

P1000175-1.jpg P1000176-1.jpg

We took a walk in the garden. Japanese iris is beautiful. And hydrangea is wonderful.

He walks leisurely in the garden, but it seems that there are 250,000 m2, but it is large and spacious.

Beyond the pond, you can see "Conrad Tokyo".

P1000182-1.jpg

Crossing the edge of the pond, going to the dock, the dock here, and the place where the 15th Shogun Yoshinobu Tokugawa fled and landed from Kyoto by boat. A ship from the Sumida River came in.

P1000186-1.jpg

The buildings in the back are Toyomi and Kachidoki buildings.

Cross the pond. There is Tokyo Tower's condominium far over there.

P1000179-1.jpg

To the left front of the entrance, a large pine is called the "300-year pine".

Just a nearby pine is in the middle of pruning. This big pine is also pruned and beautiful.

Please come to "Hamarikyu Garden" by all means.

Behind the alleys of Tsukiji at night

[Ryokichi] June 27, 2013 09:00

The city of Tsukiji is a market city, so it is dark early at night, but if you break through such a situation, there are cozy spaces here and there. The season has improved, and the number of people who are attracted to the back alleys of Tsukiji at night and are getting lost is increasing. This time, I would like to introduce one of these wonderful shops. It's in the back alley, so you can't find it normally. I don't know while there is no sign in particular.

The name of the shop is Sakezen Club, and the location is Tsukiji 7-chome 14-13.

If you go from the direction of St. Luke's International Hospital, you will be near the back of Xiaoping Park. However, because it is behind the alley, it may be difficult to find a place at first.

But it's okay, at night there's an orange sign, so you'll surely find it if you go nearby.

There is even more famous steep stairs when you get to that place, as if you are refusing to come. Please refer to the following.

IMG_1429.jpg Well, if you go up this steep stairs, you will find a shop like a hideaway. A size that fills up when about 10 customers enter. A bright atmosphere with red wallpaper. And it is the landlady, Komori-san. You are active as a dietitian and are also giving lectures at universities. It is said that the menu is composed from the perspective of such a nutrition expert. In fact, a delicious meal with plenty of vegetables comes out. Enjoying drinking and eating and drinking healthy, it seems that the menu is always thought about this. In addition, fresh ingredients from the market. There's nothing wrong. This will make you drink better. But I have to go down the stairs on my way home. You have to be careful no matter how close you are to the hospital. However, conversations with regulars like downtown, mainly landladys, are exciting and the amount of alcohol increases. Is it a different space? Time has passed since I forgot the outside.

With this feeling, the night of Tsukiji is going to be late today. The market will start in a few hours.

The Sakezen Club also holds rakugo events and jogging parties every month, and a wide variety of hobbies gather. In addition, there is a new store in Ginza 8-chome, and the store has momentum. If you are interested, please come and visit us.

A wonderful person I met in the city-Part 2-"With hospitality"

[Shitamachi Tom] June 26, 2013 14:00

Among those who live or work in Chuo-ku, I would like to introduce those who have met and impressed by themselves or sympathized.

This time, Mr. Masayuki Miyashita, who is the store manager at a restaurant near Higashi Ginza Station.

ADK Shochiku Square _R.JPG

Tsukiji's [ADK Shochiku Square] has a beautiful modern form, and I really like the openness of the lobby on the first floor. The large staircase is also impressive. It's sometimes used for filming dramas.

There used to be a cinema in Shochiku, and when the Tora-san series was heyday, many cinema fans went there. It is now a building with restaurants and offices, but on the third floor there is the Shochiku Otani Library, which has valuable facilities where specialized books and materials are stored mainly in Kabuki.

Today, I will visit [Kushiyaki / Charcoal Yakiniku Yagura] on the second floor of this building. When you go up the escalator from the lobby on the first floor, you will see a calm entrance ahead of the spacious conductor. The moist atmosphere that makes use of the Japanese-style taste is perfect not only for business negotiations with work clients, but also for family members.

Mr. Miyashita, the store manager, is loved by employees as a tough and gentle leader. You are working hard to protect this store almost without a break. No matter you visit, you will never stop smiling and your personality is soft, but the appearance of shining every corner of the store and grasping the situation feels a tough professional.

P1120392(2)_R.JPG

It seems that Miyashita's inscription on the right is "No official". Everything seems to be the words of Emperor Showa, but I think the meaning is to throw away selfishness and do it for everyone. I heard that Hiroo Rikiishi, the authority of the world, had taken up it as a translation of hospitality. In any case, I realized that Mr. Miyashita is pursuing the spirit of hospitality, which is the starting point of the service industry, and thinking about how to shape it.

Mr. Miyashita, who saw him off to the entrance when he left the shop, gave a short but hearty greeting. Of course, I was satisfied with the meal I had, but I was convinced that it was important to have the meal in a good environment. Thank you very much for taking care of everyone in the shop.

Let's survive the summer with "Nagoshi Shinohara E".

[Koedo Itabashi] June 26, 2013 09:00

At first, cross the left foot and turn counterclockwise.

Next, turn right from the right foot.

The third lap is counterclockwise from the left foot.

Then go to God.

On the approach to the shrine, there is a large circular "Chinowa" made of bundles of kaya.

The refreshing blueness of the kaya creates a different space than usual.

It's fun to go through the erected circle into eight characters.

The children run around with a catchy.

"I'm quiet because this is a shrine." I hold my hand tightly, but I myself feel excited somehow.

"Chinowa" at Tsukiji's Namishi Inari Shrine is said to be established from June 7 to July 6.

What kind of benefits do you have when you go through this big circle?

There is a song saying, "The person who purifies Natsukoshi in Minazuki is going to extend the life of Chitose."

Like the cranes of lucky items, the life spans 1000 years.

Kaya's rapidly growing vitality may have been considered as the power of disaster elimination.

You have the same benefit as you visited for a thousand days.

If so, let's try it.

He is chased by his life without being conscious of the sintainment, but if he does it as specified, he will feel "Thank you".

Is it important to have a sense of being protected by someone?

By the way, Namishi Inari Shrine is well known for the summer festival "Tsukiji Lion Festival".

This year, the event was held from June 7th to 10th, and the magnificent "Senukinomiya portable shrine Tour" was seen.

The correspondent Tom Shitamachi posted a blog about the child portable shrine.

Sennukimiya portable shrine is located in the portable shrine storehouse on the left back of main hall.

In the lion hall on the right after passing through the torii gate, there is a 2.4-meter-high "Exception ceiling large lion" glaring.

You can see the powerful figure of the lion's nose sitting on it.

The Shinto ritual will be the first Saturday of July, and this year's July 6, "Natsuetsu's great exorcism style, great exorcism style and sea style sinking."

This is the appearance of Katashiro, which can be seen in Yin Yang's movies.

It's a feeling that something special power will be born.

Flowing to the sea may lead to Tanabata events.

Natsukoshi's exorcism is also an event to cleanse the mind and body in order to prepare the summer and welcome the spirits of ancestors to Obon.

I've been offering money properly, but did I get beautiful?

   It's okay!
