Be prepared at a popular Western restaurant in Ginza

[Shitamachi Tom] May 30, 2014 14:00

Chuo-ku is the "city of food." You can enjoy a variety of tastes, not just Japanese, Western and Chinese.

Therefore, even if you go out for lunch occasionally, you will be in trouble with your eyes.

Among them, Ginza is a treasure trove of gourmet food.

I often go out to eat because it's close to my home.

Also, when I pass by between work, I'm looking forward to visiting various hiiki shops.

This time, I would like to introduce a restaurant.

A brick pavilion. JPG

In front of Switzerland. JPG

I always use [brick-tei] [Switzerland] [Hayakawa] etc.

Of course, there are many other famous shops.

Restaurant Hayakawa. jpg
[Brick-tei] We keep pride and tradition firmly and value the dignity of the store. Is it the modernity unique to Ginza that makes you feel a little embarrassed?

[Switzerland] There is also a shop in my hometown, Tsukiji, so I feel even more familiar. Not only the famous "katsu curry", but also the standard taste that you will never get tired of.

Azuma. JPGThis time, I visited [Azuma] in Ginza 6-chome. This shop has a common sense of peace that can not be considered a location in Ginza anyway, and it is attractive that you can enjoy a meal without hesitation. The taste is like a nostalgic Western food.

The volume is perfect, making your stomach full.

It is also conscience that lunch is 880 yen for this quantity and quality. It's always crowded with regular customers.
Azu spa. jpgWhat I often order is the famous "Azu Spa" here. Cream croquette and Napolitan spaghetti beside curry rice, which has nostalgated rice. It's exciting because the longing taste of childhood appears on the plate together.

When you eat delicious food, you feel really happy.

Let's enjoy gourmet food firmly when you walk around Ginza.

Follow the 90th Anniversary East

[Apricot peony] May 29, 2014 14:00

The annual "East Odori" by Shimbashi geisha was held at Shimbashi Enbujo from May 24 to 27.

ck1203_20140528 (8). jpg ck1203_20140528 (6). jpg

The first performance was held in 1925 at Shimbashi Enbujo, which was originally built as a place to showcase Shimbashi Geisha's arts, even though there are restaurants, shops, etc. around Ginza and Tsukiji, but the first performance was held.

Counting, this year will be the 90th anniversary performance, so I came to see it after a long absence.

First of all, when you enter the entrance of the theater, you will see the Japanese lantern of "East" in front of you.

In the lobby, kimonos are more noticeable than ever, and a restaurant landlady greets here and there.

ck1203_20140528 (4). jpg ck1203_20140528 (9). jpg ck1203_20140528 (1). jpg

In the back of the left hand, there is a special corner of "Sa-ka-su (sake, confectionery, sushi) sales floor", where drinks, limited sweets, and lunches with different flavors at each restaurant are sold. You.

At the stand in front of the escalator on the other side, limited sweets and goods are still sold.

Just like a CD size, there was chocolate in a package with photos of geishas printed.

ck1203_20140528 (13). jpg ck1203_20140528 (12). jpg

If you go up to the second floor, there is also a corner where you can sell sensha bills, fans, fans, etc., the name of the geisha, sell sake masu, and sell Don Perinion glasses.

The place that is usually a dining room is a tea ceremony.

ck1203_20140528 (2). jpg ck1203_20140528 (11). jpg

As I looked here and there, a buzzer rang five minutes before the start, so I'll hurry to the audience for the time being.

"Hospitality" became a buzzword in the presentation of the Tokyo Olympics.

It is a tradition of hospitality in Japan that has been reviewed in various places, but it can be said to be the ultimate in Hanayanagi world.

Even so, the audience seats are full because you can enjoy the atmosphere of Shimbashi Hanayanagi world, which is one of the top class.

ck1203_20140528 (5). jpg

First of all, as soon as the curtain opens, the sigh of hoo's sigh spreads throughout the hall.

Five veteran geishas dance "Aominami" in a magnificent manner, but Kiyoharu and the shamisen regions are of course geisha.

A 30-minute break when the curtain descends after a remarkable dance.

That said, I can't relax.

After all, this theater is regarded as a restaurant, and various tastes are elaborated so that you can enjoy it during a break.

ck1203_20140528 (7). jpgFor the time being, I went to the shop and purchased the program.

In commemoration of the 90th anniversary, the gold ground is vermilion and the title is "East Odori", and the wisteria flowers are foiled with gold on the top.

It is a design that feels like "Shimbashi", a stylish Saga that does not become gorgeous and luxurious in a casual place.

By the way, the cover of the 68th edition is the legendary Meiko Mari Chiyo statue by Meiji Hashimoto.

In addition, the title "Higashi Odori" is based on the masters of the predecessor of the restaurant "Kanada Naka".

And the letter "East Odori" on the red leaflet affixed to the city seems to be from the previous master of "Kanada Naka".

And what I found at the shop was "Geisha Karuta", in which both picture cards and bills became the hands of Shimbashi Geisha people.

It has a very atmosphere and is rarely available, so I purchased it immediately.

ck1203_20140528 (14). jpg  ck1203_20140528 (10). jpg

At the goods section, there was also a geisha wearing a wig costume, and they were casually answering your request for a commemorative photo.

At the tea ceremony, you can enjoy thin and Toraya sweets while looking at the front of the formal geisha, but this was a long line waiting in line.

There are many other corners, but in such a way, it will be the time for the next curtain in no time.

ck1203_20140528 (3). jpgThe second act is "Nippon's Four Seasons" divided into four places.

In the spring "Daigo Hanami", she appeared not as a geisha, but dressed as Hideyoshi, the northern government office, Yodo-kun, and Chihime.

In the summer "Waterfall Shiraito", stunning water arts are performed using real water.

Autumn is entitled "Travel in Mutsu" and is a group dance of folk song such as Mount Aizu Bandai with a feeling of Tohoku.

Two veterans dance moistly under the theme of "Fujijuro's Love" in winter "Ume at Night".

And it's finally the long-awaited finale!

On the darkened stage, only the sound of drums and gongs resonates.

Oh, haven't you yet? By the time as much time as I think, it finally came in, and the stage turned into a restaurant great hall.

In the middle is the head of a Tobi, and there are geishas in costumes on the left and right.

After a hand tightening with a single tightening, So-odori begins with a lively song called Sawagi, which is often used in the scenes of Yoshiwara in Kabuki.

I've heard that some people say, "I want to go here, so I became a Shimbashi geisha," but no matter how many times I watch it, it's so beautiful that I can sigh and fall in love.

If you can see it, on the stage, geishas who have spread to the flower path will throw a yaora towel toward the audience.

In the audience, it was a fussy to take the towel.

On the 2nd and 3rd floors, there is plenty of chance because stakeholders will scatter.

In anticipation of the time, the sister who becomes the "core" of the day hits the stage with tons and feet, and the song and dance begins again.

・The lyrics of the east dance is the Japanese dance, finally the world dance, and the curtain descends.

As soon as it was over, there were voices from the audience saying, "Oh, it was beautiful ~" and "Oh, it was fine!"

"Tsubame" in Ginza

[Sam] May 27, 2014 14:00

      DSC00846LLS.JPG   DSC00844LLS.JPG

DSC00736 (2)G.JPG  On May 23, Mr. Kaihiko Kaneko, the secretary of the Urban Bird Study Group, the author of "Ginza Swallows", was invited as a lecturer, and a field event "Ginza Swallow Observation Meeting" hosted by Nature Information Plaza Marunouchi Suzurikan was held. .

"Ginza Swallows" is a 30-year study of the lovely surprising ecology of urban swallows by Kaihiko Kaneko for 30 years.

Since ancient times, swallows have been popular as a symbol of Masutori.

Every spring, swallows come to Ginza from Southeast Asia, a wintering area.

The distance of the trip is several thousand kilometers.

However, the number has decreased dramatically in recent years.

Currently, there are three nesting locations in Ginza, which were nine locations 30 years ago,: Matsuya East Building (Ginza 3), Toto Hire Ginza Sales Office (Ginza 8), and Musashiville (Ginza 8).

As a cause

①The increase in the number of foreign enemy crows

②The number of places where nesting can be carried out has decreased due to the rebuilding of buildings.

(The rough concrete walls and beams, scaffolding like fluorescent lamps, deep eaves and eaves are lost.)

③The nest was dropped by a person who hates feces due to bird flu, etc.

It is conceivable.

As a unique ecology of swallows

①Creating a unique nest that uses only soil and dead grass

②A foraging method that catches flying insects, called so-called "swallow return"

(By the way, the swallow's food in the city center is 1 bird 2 bees ... bees of the Ginza bee project

They seem to be incorporated into the ecosystem.

Drinking scene while flying over the water

③They specialize in flying fast, their legs are short and unsuitable for walking, except when seeking mud from nest materials.

  Seldom descends on the ground

In addition, above all, breeding forms that make good use of the existence of four people.

It's a good idea.

The swallows are somehow alive in Ginza.

①There are many street trees that serve as a source of insects, and there is a natural treasure trove of the Imperial Palace nearby.

②Many have been reclaimed, but there is still a nearby waterside (gliding on the surface of the water when drinking)

At the same time, side 3 reflecting the hearts of people (when repainting the wall, care not to drop the nest, or place it on a new nest stand on the wall without discarding the old nest when replacing the ceiling, etc.) Accept swallows and warmly watch the nest

It is said that there is a great deal of effort.

Once again, the "people's involvement" and empathy regarding the preservation of the ecological environment are reminded.

By the way, the swallow is 17cm in length and 32cm in length.

The throat and forehead are red, the belly is white, the black horizontal band on the chest, the elongated and pointed wings, and the tail feathers are deeply cut off.

Female tail feathers are shorter than males.

It is said that tail feathers have the role of changing direction and brakes during flight.

It hatches in two weeks after incubating, and for another three weeks, after the parent swallows carrying food, they nest.

I hope you will come to this city again next spring.

And I would like you to show me the smart and agile flight again.

ROSE GARDEN 2014

[Sam] May 26, 2014 09:00

R0028923LS.JPGR0028930RSG.JPG The annual "Rose Garden" is being held at the salon space "Royal Room" with terrace on the 10th floor of FANCL Ginza Square (Ginza 5), and the venue is filled with colorful rose flowers.

Date: May 23-30 (11:30-18:30)

This year's theme is "Hospitality with fragrant roses"

During the period, members of the Musashino Rose Association also set up “Rose Consultation” and “Corsage Mini Lessons”, and they can enjoy live performances on weekends.

Roses are counted as three major flowers along with chrysanthemums and carnations, and have been loved around the world since ancient times.

Currently, it is supplied to the market throughout the year through house cultivation.

Depending on the tree shape, Bush (grove), shrub (semi-vine), climbing (vine);

Depending on the number of petals, single bloom, semi-double-flowered, double bloom;

Depending on the flower shape, sword valve, semi-sword valve, round valve, flat bloom, high core bloom, cup (cup) bloom, rosette bloom, quarterlet bloom, bonbon bloom;

They are classified into such categories.

Flower colors are also red, pink, orange, yellow, white, blue and black.

I hear that miniature roses have become more popular in recent years due to their compactness.

Why don't you enjoy a little elegant moment under the pale sunlight of spring in a petit garden with a sweet scent of roses 40 meters above the ground?

The "hydrangea garden" will be held from June 12 to 18.

Rabbit cream puff ★Nicolashal

[Mapo ★] May 22, 2014 14:00

Nishi-Gobangai Street in Ginza is on the street.

It has become a hot topic under the name Ginza Chocolat Street.

One of them.

Rabbit cream puff of Nichola Shar from Lyon.

I watched it once on TV and it was very cute, so I went there (* ^^ *)

KIMG0129d.jpg KIMG0126.JPG

It seems that Nikolaos's shop is the first shop in Ginza.★

He's a very friendly person.

In front of the store, both on weekdays and on Saturday, in front of the store.

I was talking to people walking along the street with a basket for tasting chocolate.

The cream puff from the show window is baked for a sample.

It seems that there is no cream inside.

KIMG0128.JPG KIMG0122b.jpg

I was planning to buy some cream puff and go home.

It's a great deal, so I decided to eat it at the cafe on the second floor.

Cute~ (*^^*)

There is no single cream puff in the cafe.

This rabbit cream puff plate (with drink) is 1870 yen.

There is a parfait with rabbit cream puff.

KIMG0123b.jpg KIMG0124b.jpg

By the way, you can buy only cream puff for takeout.

About 500 yen to 560 yen per piece.

I think it's cute and talked about making a souvenir (* ^^ *)
