Currently, "Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN Exhibition" is being held at Event Square on the 8th floor of Ginza 3-chome and Matsuya Ginza.

"Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN" is a manga series composed by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, who served as the animation director and character designer of the same work for the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam" broadcast on Nagoya TV in 1979 (Showa 54). It is a huge hit with a total of 24 volumes, exceeding 10 million copies in total.

At the venue, about 60 original manga drawings by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko are on display.

In addition, many original materials such as setting materials that clearly show the production process of the anime "THE ORIGIN", original animations, background paintings, 3DCGs, etc. were exhibited, and I realized the difficulty of animation production.

After all, I was impressed to see Yasuhiko's original picture.

At the venue, a 1/10 size statue of "RX-78-02 Gundam (GUNDAM THE ORIGIN version)" has also been unveiled for the first time (you can take photos here).
