Refresh by walking around the river

[Tom downtown] May 7, 2009 11:55

20090502 Sumida Riverside. jpg

A sleek afternoon after a major holiday

I went along the Sumida River from Kachidokibashi, passed Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge, and went out to the riverside around Shinkawa to take a walk. Walk slowly while overlooking Chuo-ohashi Bridge and River City 21.

This area is called "Sumida River Terrace" which was selected as one of the "8 Best Night Views in Chuo-ku".

◆The survey report of O Temmacho Magome is interesting.

[Akira Makibuchi / Sai Sharaku] May 7, 2009 11:51

As you know, there was 3 Temmacho in the Edo period in Chuo Ward. It's Otemmacho, Minami Temmacho, Kodemmacho.

(For details of the description below, please read the report below and check it yourself.) We will only put the necessary parts here.)

090501magome_kageyu.jpgAfter standing in the Omagariwa (in the Edo Castle area), Takarada Village (beside Gofuku Bridge) became O Temmacho and Minami Temmacho, and Chiyo Tamura (beside Tokiwa Bridge) became Kodemmacho.

Eco-walk on the streets of Ginza

[Ginzo] 11:50 on May 7, 2009

I have been notified of Ginza, but in fact I don't know exactly which street and how many street are.
I walked from Ginza 1-chome to 8-chome on the morning of April 29 before the consecutive holidays.

From the police box in Kyobashi, the street heading to the Tokyo International Forum is Ginza Sakura-dori St.
The cherry blossoms were scattered, but I decided to come on the next occasion.
