Although it is a compact shopping street of 100m, there are many unique industries ranging from shops dealing with traditional cultural arts and crafts to cutting-edge restaurants.

We spoke with Mr. Seiji Shimizu, the owner of Shimizu Pharmacy, the chairman.

Sho Shimizu Pharmacy was founded in 1924. It is a discerning pharmacy with the Satochan Museum.

There are plenty of things to do. Please come to Ginza Suzuran Street after inviting your family and friends.

Q: Direction to be pursued

A: We adopted a pedestrian paradise all day from 1:00 pm on the 365th so that everyone can enjoy shopping slowly with peace of mind. If the shopping street is fine, the city is fine! We will continue to promote the creation of a bustling city with the "Ginza Suzuran Street Festival" as a pillar.

Click here for last year's article.

This year, there are plenty of performances such as lectures, Kouta swing, biwa, acrobatics, and dance Jobanzu.

It's a stylish way to appreciate classical performing arts and spend time in the evening during the rainy season.

By the way, it is one of the pleasures to see the Japanese clothes of the customers gathering at the venue.

Pompadal Ginza store ★Grand opening

[Mapo ★] May 12, 2010 09:50

I happened to enter Hanatsubaki-dori from the street of West Fifth Avenue
"Bakery ...? Oh pompadol! Did you find it in Ginza?"
I'm a favorite bakery, so I have to ask this a little (* ^^ *)
It seems to have just opened on May 7th.

R0013360.JPG R0013361.JPG

The sales section manager explained various things.
It seems that it is baked in the store, and the process can be seen through the glass.
It was also written about the baking time of French bread.

R0013362.JPG R0013358.JPG

It was a great success with many customers!
I bought it because I was attracted to the word "It's freshly baked Lond 1/2".
Chocolate and crunchy Danish are delicious~ (* ^^*)
German potato pizza is served with wine at dinner!

R0013359.JPG

There are Kimuraya in Ginza around 4-chome, Mitsukoshi, Matsuya, and Matsuzakaya in Ginza.
Hanatsubaki-dori is a little far from the department stores.
It seems to be useful for those who work around here!

Ningyocho at 18:00

[Satsuki Yanagi] May 12, 2010 08:30

It is the "Ningyocho Karakuri Ogura" that I saw last year.

You can see "Karakuri" at the right time until 19:00 ...

Instead of going out to the Ningyocho area, I always shoewandered around and couldn't easily meet ... However, for the first time, I was on Ningyocho-dori just at 18:00 (wa-i)!

s-tokei4.jpg

At 18:00, the upper three windows rotated, and the dolls of the Edo period townspeople appeared.

And the storyteller at the bottom said, "Iwa-Shiko! I will tell you the story of "Iwa-Shiko!" s-tokei2.jpg

At that time, those who came nearby stopped and looked at them with a smile, and hurriedly took them in mobilephonemobile photos.sign01

It's a new eventattraction in Ningyocho.

For more information, we recommendflair the Blog of "Neko on the slope".

Wind Nimomakezu's luxurious carpet again this year

[Yotaro] May 12, 2010 08:30

IMG_0081.JPG   It is somewhat old, but on April 29 (Showa Day), the annual flower carpet decorated Miyuki Street brilliantly. As already reported on the blogs of the tourist association, etc., under the theme of "ECO and New Life", 200,000 necks and 1.2 million Toyama tulip petals woven vividly with 14 designs carpets. I guess there are many people who have gone out. I've been wondering how carpets would be made for a long time, so this year I left home early in the morning and saw them, so I would like to report that area.

IMG_0046.JPG Miyuki Street, which arrived shortly after 8 am, has few traffic, but there are two or three cardboard boxes on the side of the road. Volunteers have already gathered one after another in the school grounds of Yasuaki Elementary School. Divided into groups for each of the 14 designs, we are working on preparations such as meeting and confirmation of arrangements and preparation of petals. From 9 o'clock, the street will be closed, and a sheet with the design will be pasted on the road surface with tape. At 11:00, volunteers from Yasuaki Elementary School finally came to the place for each group. Oguro has a bag of petals packed in red, white, pink, yellow, purple, and color. In accordance with the design drawn on the sheet, the petals of the specified color are placed.  I'm going to do it. The cardboard box beside the road contained Tateyama cedar leaves, which became green "paintings". At 11:30, the carpet was almost completed while talking, "Purple, isn't it easyIMG_0054.JPG!" "Red, can I give it next to you?"

・・I thought that on this day, strong winds that occasionally blow off hats in good weather blew down the street, and in the screams of spectators, the thick petals of the sashimi were blown away in different colors. Each time, volunteers returned to their original position, sprayed water, and there was also an act called Daido to prevent scattering. The wind seems to be a natural enemy in the flower carpet than rain.

IMG_0060.JPG At 12 o'clock, the performances of Yasuaki's brass band club and the opening ceremony were continued, and the 24th Ginza Miyuki Street Flower Carpet began with a happy opening. Thank you very much to all of you for the luxurious carpet this year.

In the evening, on Miyuki-dori, where we stopped again, we distributed plastic bags for taking petals and "How to make tulip dyeing". It's a difficult project to match this year's theme. It seems that 30 to 40 flower necks (180 to 240 petals) can dye one or two handkerchiefs. I hope it will be promoted in advance next year.
