New Year's pine decorations [Nihonbashi neighborhood]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] December 28, 2014 18:00

Every year, at the end of Christmas, the city enters New Year's mode at once.

Here in the Nihonbashi area, the day after Christmas, Kadomatsu decorations were prepared.

kadm1.JPGkadm2.JPG

Kadomatsu was originally a New Year's decoration that meant to welcome Toshigami to the house, and since ancient times it was thought that gods dwell on treetops, pine and bamboo have been used.

There are two ways to cut bamboo: "square" () cut right next to the bamboo and "sagi" () cut diagonally.

In particular, "Sogi" is interesting because there is a "laughing mouth" where the bamboo nodes on the cut surface can be seen as the mouth where people are laughing depending on how they are cut.

kadm3.JPGkadm4.JPG

In addition, there are many pine decorations () that combine bamboo that reaches the second floor with leaves attached and pine trees, and this was also ready.

kadm5.JPGkadm6.JPG

The difference between pine decorations also made me feel the history of the long-established and company in Nihonbashi, and it was interesting to imagine the history and "Ire" in each of them.

◆ First sunrise from Sumida River in Chuo-ku, Tokyo

[Sumida Fireworks] December 26, 2014 14:00

This year is another few days. In addition, a new year will begin, and I think some people will be entrusted with a new determination for the first sunrise as a start event.

I think the first sunrise from central Tokyo has become a standard from the top of high buildings and towers, but it is not necessarily seen from near the ground.

The Sumida River flows east and south sides of Chuo-ku, and there is a slight distance to the opposite bank, so there are several places where you can see sunrise without buildings on the opposite bank.

This time, referring to past photos, I dared to find a place where I could see the first sunrise from the Sumida River in Chuo-ku. This is an introduction that goes back upstream from the downstream of the Sumida River.

【1】

First of all, "Kachidokibashi".

You can see the direction of Kachidoki on the opposite bank from Tsukiji, but it is a Tokyo-like sunrise with the sun coming out between the building and the building.

s_hanabi13-1.jpg

※2014/12/17 Shooting

【2】

Sunrise scenery seen in the direction of Toyosu from "Ishikawajima Park" near "Aioi Bridge".

"Ishikawajima Park" is a good place to see the first sunrise.

s_hanabi13-2.jpg

From Aioi Hashigami, the triangles of the truss bridge create a mysterious sight.

s_hanabi13-3.jpg

You can also see it from Nakanoshima, which is under Aioi Bridge. Watch the sunrise while fishing ... It's luxurious.

s_hanabi13-4.jpg※2014/12/6 Shooting

【3】

You can also see the sunrise from the top of the Chuo-ohashi Bridge.

The photo is from last year (New Year's Day 2013), and although it was a little cloudy, it was the first sunrise seen through the "Messenger Statue" watching the Sumida River.

s_hanabi13-5.jpg

【4】

It can also be seen from "Kiyosu Bridge".

The photo is from this year (New Year's Day 2014) and is a very impressive sight. It is a bridge of important cultural properties, but the first sunrise can be said to be an important cultural property class.

s_hanabi13-6.jpg※Be careful of traffic because you can't see it unless you go on the road for half a step.

【5】

Finally, "Shinohashi".

You can see it from the top of the bridge, but the photo shows the sunrise from the Sumida River terrace under the bridge.

s_hanabi13-7.jpg※2014/12/13 Shooting

This is an introduction of the first sunrise spot from the Sumida River.

The sunrise time is around 6:50. The problem will be the weather on the day, but I hope it will be clear.

There seems to be some trains running all night. It might be good to go to new year worshipping after the first sunrise.

I hope you will have the best start of the new year.

(Note: Some photos are not from the day of New Year's Day, and some may not be seen due to differences in the position of sunrise.)

Yagenbori-no-ichi and Odeko-shi

[Tachibana] December 26, 2014 09:00

You've been stagnant this year too.

In Yagenbori, both countries, the annual “Non-no-ichi” and “Year-end Ode-ko-shi” will be held from December 27 to 29, and this preparation is progressing greatly.

yagenbori2.jpg
Lanterns were displayed around the immovable shrine.

In addition, posters and signboards have already been prepared around Fudoin Street.

`` Toshinoichi '' is a city that stands for the purpose of selling decorations for the New Year and Kadomatsu, etc. It is said to be the "Yonoichi City".
In addition, "Year-end Ode-koichi" is a city that provides clothing, bags, shoes, etc. cheaply, mainly by wholesalers and shops in the past Ryogoku, Yokoyamacho, Tachibanacho, etc. (currently Higashinihombashi, etc.).

Fifty years ago, when I was a child, "Hagoita" was held along with "Toshinoichi" and there were some markets selling Hagoita. Hagoita was decorated a lot, from expensive ones that imitated Kabuki actors to those that imitated celebrities who became the topic of the year.
Hagoita does not have a fixed price, negotiations begin between the customer and the seller, but rather the seller plays a large abacus and shows the price instead of saying the price verbally. I remember that it was unusual for children. Also, when the business negotiations were concluded, it was fun to borrow the hands of the customers around me and clapping with <Shan, Shan, Shan>.
I'm afraid I couldn't see any shops selling Hagoita.

If you have time, please take a look at Yagenbori's "Non-no-ichi" and "Year-end Ode-ko-shi".
This year, from December 27 (Sat) to 29 (Mon) from 11:00 to 20:00.

G48.jpg G46.jpg

■(From HP) “Crystal”: The glittering Christmas Ginza looks like a kaleidoscope.

Therefore, the winter window is based on the theme of the parallel world in the kaleidoscope, expressing the winter forest of crystals.

The city becomes a forest, people become owl, shadows become color, and night darkness glows white.

When you look into an object inspired by owl's eyes, each of them has a story.

(9) In the temporary enclosure at the corner of the Ginza 4-chome intersection, there is an art work of "Rumbini Art Museum"! ! (Until January 18, next year)
G45.jpg G36.jpg

■(The text below is from the website of "Rumbini Art Museum" (〒025-0065 1-21-29 Hoshigaoka, Hanamaki City, Iwate Prefecture))

The Rumbini Art Museum is a space for art and relaxation operated by the social welfare corporation Korinkai.

The center of the works exhibited at the Rumbini Museum is the art works of people with disabilities.

In those works, the author has permeated what he seeks, infinitely.

There is a free fluttering. Occasionally, its powerful wings are free to the hearts of the viewer.

It leads to the world.

In addition, the work of the authors with disabilities is as deep as possible, which is the source of life of expression.

Yes, there is. There are various forms of expression in contemporary art. But its superficial shape

No matter how different it is, the source of expression is in the same place. With disability

The authors reveal the life of all sources of expression by their deep roots.

Our mind distinguishes a lot of things. People with disabilities and healthy people. Adults and children. With a man

Female Country, race, people and animals and plants...。 This world is made up of countless borders.

Yes.
If all the borders are completely erased, and they see them as just one.

If I could do it. If you could do that, what would you see there?

Maybe it's just the brilliance of life that you see there

It's fun and deep. If you could get a glimpse of such a brilliance at the Rumbini Museum, you will not be so happy.
