Boat Transportation Guide Course

[CAM] August 31, 2015 18:00

The classroom course of the boating guide course was held on Friday, August 28 and the on-the-job course was held on August 30 (Sun).

First of all, it's a class.

  IMG_0211.JPG

On the 30th, when the actual edition was held, it was a bit of light rain, but it was beneficial for cruises on the Nihonbashi River, Sumida River and Kanda River.

First of all, it's a good idea.

In the light rain, we left Nihonbashi dock at Edokkomaru.

From Nihonbashi River to Sumida River. Toyomi Bridge seen from the water.

Enter the Sumida River and see Kiyosu Bridge from the water. When viewed from the water, the Tokyo Tree is in the middle of the bridge.

It's Shinohashi seen from the water.

When you enter the Kanda River, the first thing you can see is Yanagibashi.

Kanda River also has interesting bridges and riversides, but it is omitted because it is outside Chuo-ku (laughs). Once again in Chuo-ku of Nihonbashi River.

You can see the Joban Bridge under construction. You can see the building of the Bank of Japan on your left.

And I returned to Nihonbashi again.

It was less than 2 hours, but it was a useful tour.

I finally came back to Tsukuda on foot, thinking that it was getting cooler and I had to tighten my feelings a little.

Medicine museum

[Shiraji] August 31, 2015 09:00

Did you know that Nihonbashi Honmachi is said to be a "medicine town"?
It seems that Nihonbashi Honmachi was lined with drug wholesalers in the Edo period.
Speaking of which, the buildings of many pharmaceutical companies such as Takeda Pharmaceutical, Daiichi Sankyo Co., Ltd. and Astellas are still lined up.
And there is also a "medicine museum" introduced today.

https://kusuri-museum.com/intro/

Although it is a "mini museum" that also serves as a PR for Daiichi Sankyo Co., Ltd., there is not much corporate color, and from cultural things such as "history of drug invention and discovery" and "efficiency of medicine" to the latest science and technology such as "future of medicine" It is well exhibited so that elementary school students and adults can enjoy learning from them.

In front of the medicine museum. JPG

I can't give a detailed introduction because photography is prohibited in the hall, but why don't you take a look at the chot when you have extra time to meet during shopping?
During the summer vacation, elementary school students who are having trouble with homework for free study should hurry! (laughs)

In addition to this "medicine museum", there are many "mini museums" in Chuo Ward.
In many cases, each company has its headquarters in Chuo-ku and serves as a PR for improving the image of the company, but it is free, and even though it is a "mini museum", what is made by top companies is certainly rich.

At the same time, we also recommend the gallery, which is a mini-museum.

"Tetsuko's Room Exhibition" (Takashimaya Nihonbashi)

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] August 30, 2015 18:00

"Tetsuko's Room Exhibition" is being held at Nihonbashi Takashimaya.

tetsuk12.JPG

The period is from Wednesday, August 26 to Monday, September 7.

tetsuk13.JPG

"Tetsuko's Room" started broadcasting in 1976. This exhibition commemorates 10,000 times () in the 40th year () of the program.

At the venue, the names and photographs of Showa and Heisei actors, singers, talents, and athletes who appeared in the "Tetsuko's Room" lined up, and many people were watching old days.

By the way, this picture (pictured) is made of a very small photo of Tetsuko Kuroyanagi (a spot where you can take photos)

tetsuk14.JPG

"Tetsuko's Room" was certified by Guinness in 2011 as a record of the number of broadcasts of programs by the same moderator.

tetsuk15.JPG

In the 8th floor hall of the venue, Nihonbashi Takashimaya, costumes and accessories actually used in the program were exhibited, and studio sets and backstage were reproduced.

The venue was large, and there was also a room where you could sit and watch the images of old performers.

Also, when the visitors stood in front of the mirror, there was also a photo shoot spot where Kuroyanagi's trademark "Onion Hair" was on his head and wearing costumes worn by Kuroyanagi, so I enjoyed it.

Goodbye to the 68-year history of Ginza Times

[Mill] August 29, 2015 14:00

Ginza Times, which is always seen on the street corner of Ginza.

DSC_2905.JPG

I think many people were looking forward to various information and columns every month.

Of course, I am one of them.

It seems that this Ginza Times will end with this August 1, 2015 issue.

I'm really lonely. 。

Ginza Times, first published in 1947 (Showa 22), has delivered fun and useful information about Ginza for a long time in No. 1462.

At the end of the final issue, it is published that editor-in-chief Saburo Shimura died long at the age of 79 on June 27.

I feel that the nostalgic and good old days of Ginza Times was a very big presence for those who love Ginza.

The serialized "Ginza Street Past and Present" and "Brick Land" are articles that show the history of Ginza, and I was always looking forward to it.

In addition, the easy-to-understand Ginza map with the name of the street and the name of the street tree was very convenient for walking around the city and I loved it.

With the end of Ginza Times, the business department on the second floor of Ginza Five will also end.

I always had a variety of exhibitions in the big window.

Ginza Times, I've been looking forward to it all the time and think it's natural to continue.

It's really lonely that Ginza's "face" disappears one more thing.

Thank you very much to the editor-in-chief Saburo Shimura, the staff, for always delivering wonderful space! !

I would like to express my sincere gratitude.

Let's enjoy it in the vicinity of Tokyo Station!

[Koedo Itabashi] August 29, 2015 09:00

In the meantime, the beer has changed so much.

I've never drunk a beer with a citrus scent.

I wonder if this is a craft beer.

It's certainly interesting.

Kraft. Oh! What about art?

"A variety of beer made by craftsmen in small brewery"

In honor of the beer raised by the brewer on hand salt, it was named "Craft".

For drinks that can be handled in a variety of ways, depending on the season, cuisine, region, and scene.

Beer is only the first drink.

There is an invaluable form of beer belly, and it's not a natural enemy of gout.

The "local beer", which was so fuss, was also expensive, and it was a taste that I wanted to shout "what this?"

There was no desire to pick it up again.

That thought was overturned.

"In the vicinity of Tokyo Station ..." is a catchphrase that invites you to compare drinking craft beer.

Until August 31, shops in the Yaesu, Marunouchi, and Nihonbashi neighborhoods around Tokyo Station sponsorship.

There is an event where you can easily enjoy craft beer.

The type of craft beer is over 100 pastests.

It seems that you can enjoy a variety of flavors according to the scene.

Each store serves a recommended tidbits that goes well with beer.

In a TV commercial of a major beer company, there was a proposal for how to drink different glasses.

It is said that only the shape changes the foaming and the spread of fragrance.

It is also easy to drink outside that you can choose a glass that has a shape depending on the store.

Hosted by the Tokyo Station City Management Council.

I think alcohol is the ultimate luxury item.

So, I think what I like is "Oh, I think it's good."

When asked, your favorite dish is "COEDO Ruri" from Kawagoe City.

Tsukiji Market

[Slow of Satsuki's Koi] August 28, 2015 18:00

Cross the Kobashi (remains) and enter the Tsukiji Market, go to the right, and there is "Mizu Shrine" at the end.

There is a large stone monument "Hagiyama" beside it. "Hagiyama" has been asked several times in the Chuo-ku Tourism Certification.

Water Shrine_01.JPG Water Shrine_03.JPG Flaghan. JPG

In this area, there was a naval facility, and when I was a child, I often talked to adults, "Navy Accounting School"

I remember that the word came out.

The cafeteria is lined up between the seafood bridge (remains) and the water shrine.

Shokudo Street_00.JPG

There is Yoshinoya's first store next to "Mizu Shrine".
The situation at that time is posted on the homepage, but this area is almost the same as in the past.

Mr. Yoshinoya _00.JPG Mr. Yoshinoya _01.JPG

In the past, my parents' house ran a liquor store and served sake beer seasonings etc. in several cafeterias.
The other day, a Western restaurant in it was introduced on TV.

It seems that there is a store in the cafeteria where the owner has changed, but the name is the same as before.

This sushi restaurant had an English menu for foreign tourists.

In addition, there was an "Omakase course", but this "Omakase" seems to be unique to Japan.
(I was taking up "Omakase" on NHK's program.)

By the way, if you go through the hall and go to Hamarikyu, you will have a gentle curve here.
As you may know, this is where there was a wagon service line.

Input line trace_01.JPG Load line trace_02.JPG

The rails are laid here, and when I was a child, the bicycle wheels were laid.
I remembered that I was taken by a rut and fell down and hurt.

This road from the front gate of the market to Hamarikyu (where there is a traffic light)
There was a railroad crossing, there was a hut beside, manned, and the circuit breaker was lowered.
In addition to passing the wagon, you can change points somewhere.
I wondered if I had been waiting for a long time with the circuit breaker.
