Hello, this is Minori.
This time, I went to the birthplace of Shuyo Gakuen and the birthplace of headwater Tokyo Junior High School in Kanto Gakuin.
There was a monument on the road near Akashi Elementary School, the sidewalk at Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge West Intersection.
There is a stone monument of the birthplace of Tokyo Junior High School nearby.
It was a very hot day in the summer road.
●The land of Shuyo Gakuen's launch
In 1875 (1875), "Tsukiji Language School" opened by a missionary of the Sun Mall Shudokai, who had been conducting Christian missionary and educational philanthropic activities in Yokohama, was the whole body of Futaba Gakuen. In 1909 (1909), moved to Rokubancho, Chiyoda-ku. A pair of monuments like a heart on the road side feels relieved when you look at them.

Near the stone monument of the birthplace of Tokyo Junior High School, there is a stone monument of the birthplace of Tokyo Junior High School.
Kanto Gakuin began on September 10, 1895 (1895) at Kutsukiji Reservation 42-43 (currently Akashi-cho, Chuo-ku), when the U.S. Baptist Engagement Association established Tokyo Junior High School.
From the stone monument of the birthplace of Futaba Gakuen, pass the stone monument of the birthplace of Tokyo Junior High School to Akashi Elementary School, and you will go to St. Luke's College of Nursing and St. Luke's International Hospital to take a break at St. Luke's Garden opposite.
In addition, if you take the traffic light in front of St. Luke's International Hospital toward Tsukiji 7-chome, you will be able to get to Akatsuki Park.
It is said that Akashicho was derived from the place name because the scenery was similar to "Akashinoura" in Akashi, Harima country (now Hyogo prefecture).

Hello, this is Minori.
I went to the site of Takumi Asanouchi's residence and the birthplace of Ryunosuke Akutagawa.
I was surprised that there was an explanation board of the birthplace of Ryunosuke Akutagawa near the site of Takumi Asanouchi's residence.
[Tokyo Historic Site Takumito Asanouchi House Ruins]
Originally, the Asano Family Kamiyashiki of the Akaho Domain was located at St. Luke International Hospital with a stone monument at the site of Takumi Asano's residence, and at 8,900 tsubo, with two southwest facing the Tsukiji River. It was the upper house of Takumi Asano, Takumi Asano, Asano family of the Akaho Domain.
Takumi Asanouchi is a child of the Shocho era friend of Asano, and Nagatomo died young, so he inherited his family at the age of nine, and was ranked 15th at the age of fourteen, and was assigned to the 15th place. Was
In 1701 (1701), he was promoted to entertain the Imperial Envoy, but was ordered to cut off because he cut it to Yoshio Kira Ueno, the role of guidance, in the pine corridor connecting great hall in Edo Castle and Hakushoin. Later, Edo Yashiki was taken up by the Shogunate, and the Asano family of the Akaho clan was cut off.
On the premises of St. Luke International Hospital, there is a stone monument and an explanation board indicating the site of Takumi Asanouchi's residence. This is Designated Cultural Property, Tokyo.

Under Soseki Natsume, he left many literary works such as "Nas", "Rashomon", "Kappa", and "The Life of Anast". Hello, this is Minori.
I went to St. Luke's International Hospital Toysler Memorial Hall and the ruins of the American Embassy.
It was a nice day.
[Toysler Memorial Hall] Resident Tangible Cultural Property (Place: in front of St. Luke's International Hospital)
Founder of St. Luke's R.B. Toysler (1876-1934)
The Toysler Memorial Hall was built in 1933 as a missionary hall at St. Luke's International Hospital. It is a two-story reinforced concrete building, and the exterior shows a Western-style architectural design that expresses the framework of pillars and beams. It was a wonderful house that I would like to live in.
The monument of Toysler has a statue of Toysler.
[A monument to the site of the U.S. Embassy] Kumin Tangible Cultural Property (Place: In front of Toysler Memorial Hall)
I went to the monument after the American Embassy in front of the Toysler Memorial Hall of St. Luke's International Hospital.
The U.S. Embassy was opened in 1875 (1875) and was later in K until 1890 (1890). It is said that the two-story wooden envoy was a Western-style building with cream-colored paint. The exotic city with Western-style architectures and towering church towers was completely lost in the Great Kanto Earthquake.
The monument in front of the Toysler Memorial Hall is made of stone cut off on the coast of Izu Peninsula, a shield-shaped star-shaped flag, an American national bird, a white head eagle (13 stars in the shield-shaped star-shaped flag and 13 stars around the white head eagle represent the 13 states of the United States at the time), and the five tombs.

Hello, this is Minori.
From Kachidokibashi, we could see the Tsukiji Market.
Kachidokibashi is built from Tsukiji 6-chome to Kachidoki 1-chome.
Take Harumi-dori St. toward Kachidoki Station on the Toei Oedo Line and you will get to Kachidoki Station.
At Tsukishima Daini Children's Park (1-9-8 Kachidoki) between Kachidoki Station and Tsukishima Daini Elementary School, "marche of the Sun" is held every second weekend. There are rare vegetables and fruits, handmade items and specialty products at the storefront. (The event will be held from 10:00 to 17:00. Rainy weather will be canceled.)
Also, if you walk along Kiyosumi-dori toward Tokyo Bay from that intersection, you will find Toyo-in, where the tomb of Tokasha 19 is located near Niijima Bridge, and Sumiyoshi-jinja Shirine in Kachidoki 4-chome. .
(* Advance reservations are required for worshiping the tombs of Tokasha 19)
Alternatively, go straight on Harumi-dori St. from Kachidokibashi to the east side, cross the Asashio Canal at Reimei Bridge or the moving promenade "Triton Bridge", and you will reach Harumi Island Triton Square. The seasonal garden is beautiful here. In front of you is the Asashio Canal, which flows into Tokyo Bay.
In 1905, Kachidokibashi, volunteers from Kyobashi Ward set up a ferry port for ships connecting Tsukiji and Tsukishima on the opposite bank. The name "Kachidoki no Michi" commemorates the fall of Port Arthur in the Russo-Japanese War, and after that, as Tsukishima developed as an industrial area, traffic demand increased, so it was built by collecting cutting-edge technologies at that time. Kachidokibashi was completed in 1940 (1904).
Futaba jumping bridge with a total length of about 246m and a width of about 26m. At the time of completion, it was called the best movable bridge in the East. Initially, the number jumped five times a day, but the number gradually decreased due to a decrease in ship operation volume and is now shut down.
At the Kachidokibashi Museum next to the Tsukiji Market Kachidoki Gate, valuable materials and related information related to the edge of the Sumida River, including Kachidokibashi, are displayed.
In addition, near the museum, there is a stone monument of "Kachidoki no Wadashi" built in 1905 (1905). In June 2007 (2007), it was designated as a national important cultural property by the evaluation of "a highly technically completed structure with the largest movable branch in Japan".

Hello, this is Minori.
In August, I went to the median strip of Yaesu Street.
The "Jan Jooss Ten Monument" on Yaesu Street (central strip) was established in 1989 (Heiseigen) to commemorate the 380th anniversary of Osamu Nichiran.
Jan Jooss Ten, a sailor of the Dutch ship Leafde, drifted ashore in Bungo (Oita Prefecture) in 1600 (Keicho era 5) along with William Adams (Anjin Miura), and William Adams was invited to meet with Ieyasu Tokugawa (Leafde). In this year, Tokugawa broke the Western Army led by Mitsunari Ishida and others in the battle of Sekigahara.
Jan Jooss Ten, who served as an aide to Ieyasu Tokugawa, worked with William Adams as a diplomatic adviser and interpreter for Ieyasu Tokugawa, engaged in trade in red seal ships in Asia. The place name Yaesu is said to have been named after his mansion.
The statue of Jan Jooss Ten is the work of the Dutch L. P. P. P.
In addition, there is "bell of peace (Heiwa, Chuo-ku city declaration memorial)" in this median strip.
Chuo-ku declared the "Peace City Declaration" on March 15, 1988 (Showa 63) in prayer for permanent peace in politics and the eternal reflection of mankind.
The triangular arch of Danjo was set up as a monument to commemorate this declaration.
This bell of peace is made in the Netherlands and plays seasonal melody with 26 bells.

●Jan Jooss Ten (1556?) ~1623)
It's also a great place. A Dutch sailor. Along with Adams and others, they drifted to Bungo in 1600 (Keicho era 5). He became a diplomatic adviser to Ieyasu Tokugawa. He was given a worship house in Edo and married a Japanese woman and had children. Contributing to Dutch trade.
●William Adams (1564-1620)
In 1600 (Keicho era 5), the British sailor of a Dutch ship drifted to Bungo along with Jan Jooss Ten and others. He became a diplomatic adviser to Ieyasu Tokugawa and was named Anjin Miura. He was given a territory to Miura-gun, Sagami country, and worked on trade with U.K. in the Netherlands. There were two children with a Japanese wife.
