St. Luke's International Hospital

[CAM] May 4, 2016 18:00

I go to St. Luke International Hospital every day because my family was hospitalized and operated. I myself have a regular checkup every year at the hospital's clinic St. Luke's Preventive Medicine Center (3rd floor of St. Luke's Tower), so I was fully aware of the cleanliness and the excellence of staff. However, when the family was actually hospitalized and went to visit every day, I once again realized the wonderfulness of this hospital.

At the entrance, the philosophy of this hospital is set up.

This hospital is a living organism
designed to demonstrate
in convincing terms
the transmuting power of Christian love
when applied
in relief of human suffering.
                                       Rudolf B. Teusler(1933)

The heart of Christian love
If you work to save people's worries
The suffering disappears
That person will be reborn
The power of this great love
So that everyone can see it easily
This hospital is the planned living organism.
                        Rudolf B. Toysler (1933)

In addition, the "rights of all of you to be consulted" states, "St. Luke International Hospital confirms and respects that those who visit our hospital have the following rights."

  1. The right to receive medical care with respect as a human being
  1. The right to receive the best medical care
  1. The right to obtain information related to your physical and mental condition
  1. The right to explain the contents of medical services and the expected results
  1. The right to seek the opinions of other medical professionals (second opinion)
  1. The right to receive or reject medical care based on your free will, with sufficient information.
  1. The right to refuse participation in research and education
  1. The right to maintain privacy
  1. The right to receive information on medical expenses and their public assistance

From this experience, it was felt that these rights were respected and the philosophy was put into practice.

An acquaintance who is familiar with the medical world said, "I'm really happy to be admitted to St. Luke's International Hospital." As a resident of Chuo-ku, Tokyo, I would like to thank you for enjoying such happiness. However, since I am not willing, if possible, I would like to leave the world without experiencing such "happiness" without experiencing it on the spot, such as undergoing surgery ...

As a personal matter, I have passed a certain public medical university in Kansai. Actually, I just paid an entrance fee (50,000 yen at that time) to Medical University and entered and graduated from a certain university (humanities) (at that time, entrance examinations for national universities were 7 subjects in 5 subjects, except for differences in the scope and score of mathematics, and there was no difference in subjects in liberal arts and science, and public medical colleges conducted entrance examinations on a separate schedule before the National I and II periods. That's why the competition ratio was quite high) and, in contact with an excellent doctor at St. Luke Hospital, sadly embarrassed the reality of a poor old man who lived a foolish life.

May 05, 2016 Teppozu Inari Shrine Reitaisai festival Performance
Date and time: May 5 (Thursday / holiday) 1:30 pm (open at 1:00 pm)
Location: Akashi Elementary School Gymnasium

※It will be performed at Akashi Elementary School Gymnasium for the renovation of the shrine. Please bring your shoes and shoes bag.

As mentioned above, it seems to be held at Akashi Elementary School on May 5th. Last fall, I saw a performance at Yasuaki Elementary School as an "Autumn Ginza" event, but it was quite good. At first, I thought it was a school festival, but why was it quite a full-fledged one that made me think that I was an elementary school student in Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

 Last fall performance
