From the New Year to the New Year! Nihonbashi Kobunamachi

[Dharma] December 31, 2017 09:00

Crossing Showa-dori from the Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store toward the Horidome Intersection ... Nihonbashi "Kobunacho" envelops history in newness. It is said that during the Edo and Meiji eras, it was a town where textile wholesalers, fan wholesalers, and bonito wholesalers were crowded along the Higashiboriru River, which entered the Nihonbashi River. As an aside, there is a dedicated Japanese lantern Dai Japanese lantern from Kobuna Town in Asakusa Hozomon....Now it is Kofune-cho, where new buildings of long-established companies and leading companies are lined up. Restaurants and hotels are also available, making it beautiful. The main street has been unnamed for a long time, but it is said that naming is being considered. On the left and right of this street, the [Ogura Building] and [Nagase Sangyo Building], which have been rebuilt into a solid building, stand out.

Decorating the new year! It is a long-established appearance in Kofune-cho.

[Ibasen] It is a fan, fan shop with a history of more than 400 years. The interior of the store is full of ukiyo-e products. I bought a cute decorative fan with a dog pattern.

[Takashima Family] It is a "eel specialty store" founded in 1875. I was impressed by the taste of protecting for more than 140 years and the hospitality of the young landlord.

[Higetsudo] Founded in 1877, it preserves long-established flavors such as "Kamisei confectionery", "Kuridorayaki", "Kiriyamasho", "kagami mochi" and "Red and White Manju".

 [Kobunacho Yakumo Shrine Tenno Festival]

In September 2018, the festival will be held once every four years.

Kobunacho. jpg

Kobunamachi Yakumo Shrine is one of the auxiliary shrine located on the grounds of Kanda Myojin.

It was in the early Edo period that Kofune-cho began to implement festivals.

During the festival, Kariya will be built in Horidome Children's Park and portable shrine will be built in imperial procession.

Photograph of carrying of miniature shrines, which seems to be before the war (the fine figure of his late father?) That's right.⇒⇒⇒⇒

The Tenno Festival is a rough portable shrine festival by the common people, and it is said that only Kofune-cho now inherits the festival.

Enjoy Noh at the Kanze Noh Theater

[Dharma] December 6, 2017 14:00

Nomasa, University of Tokyo. JPG

On December 2nd (Saturday), I enjoyed watching the "Tokyo University Kanzekai and the University of Tokyo Kanze OB Association Joint Self-Execution Party" at the "25th Sakon Kanze Memorial Kanze Noh Theater" (3rd basement floor of GINZA SIX). The University of Tokyo Kanze OB Association was active throughout the pre-war period, and in 1949 (1949), the University of Tokyo Kanzekai was newly launched, and has been making a long-lived approach to Noh, which is proud of the world. (Please visit the website)

It is a pleasure to be able to appreciate Noh in Chuo-ku, which was the center of Edo culture. Next year's joint self-performance event will be held at the Kanze Noh Theater on December 23, 2018 (Sun).

The stage of Edo Rakugo (Fukuji Boxing Edition)

[Dharma] December 5, 2017 12:00

Lottery (Futtsu, Futtomi, Tomi) was a popular event during the Bunka Bunsei period (1804-30). In Chuo-ku, it seems that it was also performed at Shirahata Inari (Honishi-cho), Fukutoku Inari (Muromachi), Sugimori Inari (Horidome-cho), Yagenbori Fudoin (Higashinihombashi), Kayabacho Yakushi, Masaru Shinkawa Jingu Shrine, etc. (Refer to the website of cultural properties in Chuo-ku, Fukutoku Shrine lottery website). The price of the wealth bill was about 1 minute to 2 vermilion per sheet. Assuming that one car is about 100,000 yen, one piece is about 100,000 to 30,000, which is quite high. Due to the human heart and internal fraud, the lottery performance was banned due to the reform of the Tempo (1842), but in rakugo, "Yushima Tenjin" and "Sugimori Shrine" were the main stages, and people in the lottery The movement of the people was Heisei vaudeville, hall...It has been handed over to Koza of Rakugokai.

Sugi no Mori ok.jpgThe third generation Kosan (1857-1930) brought back from Osaka, "The wealth of the inn" ... A poor man stayed in a dirty Hatago in Bakurocho. "One of the wealth bills of Sugimori Shrine, which is doing as a side job, is unsold." "I don't want to increase more money, but it's okay." Thousands of wealth hit it! ・・ ・ ・ The owner of the poor inn was wearing clogs when he took off his futon to celebrate....Yeah. (Laughing)

grand shrine's household miniature shrine, who is said to have been made from the true story of the first Encho (1839-1900) into rakugo. --a short---a fire burns Kuzo's house. Passing through Sugimori Shrine, the voice of "No. 1500 cranes". "Oh, I won!" Hisashi, I graduated. You don't have a win tag! On the way home, the head of the Tobi, "I'm an entertainer. It's a great shrine. I'm at home." "Why, thief! "I'm a lucky man." "Hey, this is also thanks to Mr. Oga Shrine. I'll pay you to the neighborhood."...It's a story rich in humanity. // Makuhaku
