Hatchobori's Italian [OTTO]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] October 16, 2018 12:00

This shop is close to Hatchobori 2-chome, Hatchobori Station, just off the alley from Shin-ohashi-dori St.

The red sign and red door, red window frame, and inside of the store are cute shops that use red effectively.

otto201801.jpg

I'm sorry to bother you at lunch

The shop has the first and second floors, and since I was alone on the day, I sat down at the counter seats on the first floor.

otto201804.jpg

I ordered a set A.

You can choose a drink or salad for the A set, and the B set has both a drink and a salad.

From 3 types of pasta, choose the bongole pasta of peeled clams.

otto201802.JPG

Raw pasta is thick, chewy, and smooth

The seasoning of Bongore, the flavor of garlic and black pepper is moderate, and there are quite a lot of clams, and it is very delicious.

After 12 o'clock, customers will come in one after another, so it is desirable to enter this shop as soon as possible.

otto201803.jpg

The shop says "pizza & wine, cheese", so I would like to come next night and taste pizza, wine, and cheese.

The lunch time on weekdays is from 11:00 to 14:00, and the dinner time is from 17:00.

Regular holidays are Sunday and public holidays.

Japanese Eco Living Exhibition [Chuo Ward Environmental Information Center]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] October 15, 2018 14:00

waeco201808.JPG

The "Wa Eco Living Exhibition" is being held at the Chuo Ward Environmental Information Center in Kyobashi Environmental Station on the 6th floor of Tokyo Square Garden, an eco-friendly building at Kyobashi 3-chome.

waeco201801.JPG

At the venue, they explain in an easy-to-understand manner how eco-friendly the traditional Japanese lifestyle of "Japanese living" was.

waeco201803.JPG

In addition, furoshiki and Japanese paper are introduced as a typical example of "Japanese eco-living".

waeco201802.JPG

At the venue, you can touch the raw materials of Japanese paper, experience the feeling of writing, and experience how to wrap furoshiki.

waeco201804.JPG

The period is from Monday, October 1 to October 31 (Wed).

The time is from 9:00 to 21:00, so even those who work can stop by on their way home.

waeco201805.JPG

By the way, October is said to be the 3R promotion month set by the country.

The 3R is an acronym for Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. 3R activities are to reduce garbage as much as possible by working on these three Rs, thereby reducing garbage. The aim is to minimize the adverse effects of incineration and landfill disposal on the environment, and to create a society (= recycling-oriented society) that effectively and repeatedly uses limited earth resources.

waeco201807.JPG

This time, we also received your consent for taking photos in the venue and introducing them in this blog post.

Thank you very much

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] October 14, 2018 12:00

This is the second half of the blog that took a walk along the red dashed line river’s edge on the map below with two dogs.

Walking in river’s edge in autumn with a dog (first half)

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] October 14, 2018 09:00

The season became better, and it was the best time for a walk.

In the morning, we took a walk along the red dashed line river’s edge on the map below with two dogs.

I walked counterclockwise from A to B, C ...

In the first half, we will introduce A to D.

tukuda201800.jpg

Area A

At the base of Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge, the remnant of Tsukuda-no-Hari, which remains on the Minato side, is the site of the Tsukuda Island Ferry Terminal.

tukuda201801.JPG

Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge is a bridge with a simple design that was built in 1964 instead of Tsukuda's ferry.

tukuda201802.JPG

I remember hearing or reading that 1964 was a simple design in time for the last Tokyo Olympics, but it's a bit vague.

The high-rise apartments over Tsukuda Island seen from the sidewalk on the north side seem to see Tokyo and Edo together, and it is a favorite view.

tukuda201811.JPG

Area B

Tsukuda Island was built in 1644 by a fisherman who entered Edo from Tsukuda-mura, Nishinari-gun, Settsu-kuni, reclaimed the mouth of the Sumida River.

It is said that the origin of Tsukudani was that fishermen on Tsukuda Island boiled small fish and shellfish with salt and soy sauce for their preservation food.

tukuda201803.JPG

The remnants of "Tsukuda's ferry" are the ruins of Tsukuda Island ferryboat (Tsukuda side).

tukuda201804.JPG

Next to this monument, there is also stone monument of Hideji Hojo, a playwright who loved Tsukuda Island.

"If it snows, Tsukuda is an old island of Edo."

tukuda201805.JPG

Tsukuda Kobashi, a monument of Tsukuda Island

It spans the Tsukuda River tributary, and the vermilion balustrade is impressive.

tukuda201806.JPG

Area C

It is the site of Ishikawajima Lighthouse

tukuda201807.JPG

The beginning of the Ishikawajima Lighthouse was a nightlight built in 1866 by Ishikawajima Hitoshishoroba magistrate for ships sailing on the Sumida River by human feet.

The Ishikawajimajin Ashojo was made by that "Kihei" Heizo Hasegawa proposed to Sadanobu Matsudaira.

This area is the site of the former Ishikawajima Harima Heavy Industries, where ultra-high-rise apartments stand in the forest.

The water bus "Hotaluna" went up the Sumida River.

This is the design of Reiji Matsumoto.
