[O umbrella] 13:00 on October 5, 2010

This year too Chuo-ku The Tourism and Commerce Festival (58th) began on October 1 (Fri)-November 5 (Fri).

IMG_6299tcomp.JPG I've seen the opening ceremony on the first day (main venue: Mitsukoshi Ginza store 9th floor "Ginza Terrace"), so I'm introducing it.

Before that, I would like to introduce a little about "Ginza Terrace" on the 9th floor of the Mitsukoshi Ginza store.

The Mitsukoshi Ginza store, which opened on September 11 (Saturday), built a new store (13 floors above ground and 6 floors below ground) on the east side of the conventional 8-story main building, aiming to increase the floor of the sales floor together, and was reborn as the largest department store in the Ginza and Yurakucho districts.

IMG_5826comp.JPG

IMG_5820comp.JPG On the 9th floor, the rooftop of the Mitsukoshi Ginza store (main building) and the floor of the new building are integrated, and on the 9th floor, there are outdoor lawn open space, Ginza Isezo guardian of children and travelers, and Terrace Farm (rooftop gardening).

IMG_5838comp.JPG

The new building has indoor facilities, a restaurant, an information corner, and a multipurpose event space "Ginza Terrace".

By the way, the 58th Chuo-ku The opening ceremony at the main venue of the Tourism and Commerce Festival was held at the 9th floor event space "Ginza Terrace" from 11:00 am on October 1, 2010 (Friday).

In Ginza, there is an event "Autumn Ginza 2010 (~ Future Silver Bura ~)" (Note). I hope you enjoy it very much. I would like to pray for the prosperity and prosperity of each shopping district, department store, and related parties. "

Autumn Ginza 2010 (~ Future Silver Bura ~) is a general term for events in Ginza, such as the Silver Tea Party, the Ginza International Jazz Festival 2010, and the Ginza Hatcho Shrine Tour (10 shrines this year).

Next is Mr. Hiroaki Nakajima, Chairman of the Chuo-ku Council.

"This is 58 times this year, and this tourism and commerce festival is thriving every year. This time, with the cooperation of the shopping streets in the city, the event “Treasure Hunting Game-” goes around the entire city while touching on the history and culture of the city with the cooperation of the shopping streets in the city. Chuo-ku It has a wide variety of contents, such as the Great Investigation Line. Taking this opportunity, not only in Japan but also overseas. Chuo-ku I want you to know. "We welcome the opening ceremony and event to be held at the venue. On September 11, Ginza Mitsukoshi was remodeled and expanded floor space opened. As a highlight, this floor on the 9th floor has a total of 3,000 m2 outdoors and indoors, creating such a space that does not place anything as a place for relaxation, comfort and liveliness. Chuo-ku Ginza is the center of Japan and the world. Chuo-ku I would like to do my best as a member of commercial facilities so that Ginza can develop more and more."

"COREDO Muromachi" will open on October 28 (Thursday).

[O umbrella] 16:00 on October 1, 2010

Based on the concept of Nihonbashi Revitalization Plan, "COREDO Muromachi" will open across the Mitsui Main Building on Chuo-dori, as the first building of Nihonbashi Muromachi East District Development.

I think I'm very interested in it, so I'll give you an overview of it.

Map JPG

As you may know, the naming of "COREDO" is a coined word that combines "CORE (center)" and "EDO (Edo)" and means "Edo" That's right.

It became a hot topic when COREDO Nihonbashi opened in 2004 in the skyscraper "Nihonbashi 1-chome Building", an example at the intersection where Eitai-dori St. and Chuo-dori are mixed.

The building with this "COREDO Muromachi" is officially called the "Muromachi Higashi Mitsui Building" and is a complex consisting of 22 floors above ground (height: about 100m) and 4 floors underground office, commercial and multipurpose halls.

IMG_6164comp.JPGThe building consists of a commercial area of restaurants and retail stores on the first to fourth floors, a multi-purpose hall "Nihonbashi Mitsui Hall" on the fifth to sixth floors, and an office floor from the tenth to 21st floors.

IMG_1778tcomp.JPG

This building will start construction in December 2008 and will open in October after two years.

During the construction work, a large message was written on the construction fence as shown in the photo on the left.

The opening schedule is as follows.

Friday, October 1: Muromachi Higashi Mitsui Building opened

Thursday, October 28: The commercial area (1F to 4F) of "COREDO Muromachi" opens.

The Nihonbashi Mitsui Hall (5F-6F) opened on October 30 (Sat.), opening ceremony

IMG_6144tcomp.JPG IMG_6145tcomp.JPG IMG_6146tcomp.JPG

[COREDO Muromachi]
On the first floor, in addition to long-established stores such as "Ninben Nippon Hashimoto Ten" and "Nihonbashi Kiya", Kanazawa foil specialty store "Hakuza Nihonbashi", which will be opened for the first time in Tokyo, cafe Brassley Patisserie "Eymet Vibert" and ATM (Mizuho Bank, Chiba Bank) will be opened.

On the second floor, there are fish dishes such as Kinoshige Nihonbashi, a popular Chinese chef Kenichi Chin's Sichuan restaurant.

On the 3rd floor, there are bistro "BISTRO Ishikawa-tei", where you can line up, and "Yonesho", a Japanese food with rice as the leading role.

On the 4th floor, there is an Edo-mae sushi "Shimon", which is associated with the Nihonbashi Fish Bank, and the entrance lobby of Nihonbashi Mitsui Hall is opened.

IMG_6143tcomp.JPG IMG_6142tcomp.JPGOn the first basement floor, there is a subway "Mitsukoshi Station" contact gate, but "Taro Shobo" and choled information "Nihonbashi Information Center" will open.

IMG_6169tcomp.JPG  IMG_6130tcomp.JPG

[Nihonbashi Mitsui Hall]

IMG_6141tcomp.JPGNihonbashi Mitsui Hall is a large multi-purpose hall directly connected to the station in the Nihonbashi area (maximum number of 1,000 seats, 650 theater-type, 700m2), which can be used from businesses such as conventions and exhibitions to entertainment such as live music and theater.

Opened on October 30 (Saturday), as a “Kokera drop ceremony”, “Sanbaso Dance” by Koshiro Matsumoto and Somegoro Ichikawa, supervised by Koshiro Matsumoto, and fashion shows The world's first "Kabuki x Fashion Show" will be held in collaboration with Yoshio Wakatsuki, who produces and produces.

It is the birth of a new attraction in Chuo-ku. It will play a role in revitalizing Nihonbashi.

By all means, why don't you visit this opening opportunity?

The first step of "Nihonbashi Muromachi East District Development" is COREDO Muromachi introduced here, but as shown in the first figure, the construction of a new building and the "Edo Sakura-dori St.", a row of cherry blossom trees from the Bank of Japan, as shown in the first figure, will be extended, and the area around "Fukutoku Shrine", which will be relocated from "Muromachi Fukutoku Juku", will continue in the future.

As depicted in the "Kidai Shoran" of the Edo period (it is displayed on the underground passage of the subway Ginza Line, I think many people have seen it ...) It seems that you can expect further liveliness and liveliness in the area.

"Tsukiji Yori Michikan"-The bustle of Tsukiji in the early Meiji era of late Tokugawa shogunate (Nishiki-e)-

[O umbrella] September 14, 2010 11:10

At the intersection of Shin-ohashi-dori St. and Harumi-dori St., there is the Tsukiji KY Building, a landmark of Tsukiji Outer Market, and on the second floor, an exhibition and event space for transmitting Tsukiji culture, Tsukiji Yori Michikan "was born at the beginning of this year (2010).

IMG_5196comp.JPGCurrently, there are 22 Nishiki-e paintings depicting Tsukiji from the late Edo period to the early Meiji period, and 20 photographs (monochrome) related to Tsukiji today.

I've seen it recently, so I'll introduce you.

(The photo on the left shows the Tsukiji KY Building at the Tsukiji intersection.)

IMG_3678tcomp.JPGThe floor on the second floor of the Tsukiji KY Building, where the Tsukiji Yorimichikan is located, is made of wood flooring.

Compared to the grocery store on the first floor, Tsukiji Fun Market, the second floor creates a quiet and calm space.

IMG_5591comp.JPGEven if you say "Tsukiji Yori Michikan", there is no room for exhibition, it is an open space where anyone can enter and exit freely from the aisle.

IMG_3687tcomp.JPG In the exhibition space where Nishiki-e is displayed, there are "Edo-zu" (Ansei 2 (1819)) in the late Edo period and "Oedo bird's-eye view" (Koka 4 (1847)), as well as "Tokyo Tsukiji Tetsubosukei", the phantom hotel "Tokyo Tsukiji Hotel Tatenozunozu Map", and "Tokyo Shikiji Tsukiji Tsukiji Gomon Ruins" are on display.

Among them, I was interested in "Tsukiji Hotel Building", which is said to be a phantom hotel.

IMG_5157tcomp.JPG"Tsukiji Hotel Building" Japan's first authentic Western-style hotel

IMG_3699tcomp.JPG

In Keio 3 (1867), construction began on the site of the Tsukiji Naval Training Center (currently around the Central Wholesale Market Parking Lot), and was completed in the first year of the Meiji era (1868).

At that time, a Western-style hotel (Japanese-style eclectic style) was very rare, and many people came to see it as a new attraction in Tokyo, and many painters painted a lot of Nishiki-e.

The building is 3 stories (partially 4 floors, with towers).

Designed by American architect Brigens,

The construction was undertaken by Kisuke Shimizu, the second generation of Shimizu Gumi (currently Shimizu Construction), applying to the Shogunate.

By the way, the construction plan of the Tsukiji Hotel Building was invented by Oguri Kozukenosuke (Tadamasa), who served as an account magistrate during the late Tokugawa shogunate period.

In fact, it is said that Kisuke Shimizu and others built and operated under the leadership of Oguri.

IMG_5175tcomp.JPGOguri Uenosuke is not well known as a historical figure of late Tokugawa shogunate.

Ryotaro Shiba (writer) praised Uenosuke Oguri as "the father of the Meiji era."

Shigenobu Okuma said, "The modernization policy of the Meiji government is nothing more than the imitation of Tadamasa Oguri."

He is one of the most notable figures in the history of late Tokugawa shogunate.

Unfortunately, the Tsukiji Hotel was destroyed by a large fire in less than four years after its completion, and was not rebuilt afterwards.

Therefore, later generations call it a "phantom hotel" and remember the appearance and liveliness of the Tsukiji Hotel building at that time.

IMG_5592tcomp.JPGThere is also a photo exhibition Conner of "Current Tsukiji".

This is on the wall opposite the Nishiki-e exhibition space.

About 20 monochrome photos are on display in a row.

IMG_5152comp.JPGIn the picture

"Tuna auction,"

"Dismantling of tuna,"

"A bird's-eye view of Tsukiji Central Wholesale Market" and

"Lionhead of Tsukiji Namiki Shrine"

It conveys the vitality of the current Tsukiji Central Wholesale Market.

These exhibition deadlines are, but when I asked the information on the same floor, it seems that the deadline has not been decided, and when a new project comes out, the exhibition will end at that time.

It's free. If you are interested, please visit Tsukiji Yorimichikan as soon as possible to see the lively Nishiki-e paintings of Tsukiji in the early Meiji era of late Tokugawa shogunate. Let's take a look at it.

(In addition, we received the consent of the information regarding the shooting of the exhibited works and posting on the blog on this blog. Thank you very much.

A dance circle centered on dance teams such as the folk song Federation and the town council around the tower (Yagura) in line with the familiar Bon Odori songs such as the Tokyo Ondo, and the Chuo-ku original Ondo `` This is Edo Bon Dance '' Was made.

This is Edo Bon Dance (lyrics).jpg"This is Edo Bon Dance", some people may pull that if you see the title of the song and some English in the lyrics, only young people can dance ... However, singing singers, folk singers, and melody are still Bon Odori songs, and they are very familiar as ordinary Bon Odori songs.

As you may know, I will post the lyrics of "This is Edo Bon Dance" for your reference. (I quoted from the "Tokyo Chuo Net" site.)

IMG_5001tcomp.jpgEveryone from adults to children was familiar with Bon Odori, gestures, and as the night went on, many people filled the Bon Odori venue and gradually danced in a big whirlpool.

As the annual "Oedo Festival Bon Odori Tournament", the population of Chuo-ku is also increasing, as one of the important events in the hometown (Furusato) Chuo-ku that deepens "contact" and "bonds" It will continue to develop.

IMG_4583comp.JPGWe arrived one hour before the store opened, but cameras from TV stations such as TV Kochi, Nippon Television, NHK Kochi Broadcasting Station were already rehearsaling.

The opening ceremony began at 10:00 am, and tape cuts were made after a greeting from Masanao Ozaki (Governor of Kochi Prefecture). According to the governor's greeting, "We opened in two years and four months after the conception. Since we brought the whole charm of Kochi Prefecture to Ginza, we would like you to know the charms of food and products, and ask for your patronage for a long time. " ・That's right.

IMG_4597comp.JPGIn addition to the governor, Mr. Mizoguchi (prefectural council / chairman), Mr. Kawakami (prefectural Chisan Foreign Trade Corporation / representative director), Mr. Sato (JAL cabin attendant, Kochi Prefecture PR ambassador), Mr. Shimooka (ANA cabin attendant from Kochi Prefecture) ) And Ryoma and Ryu (characters of "Tosa Ryoma Deai Expo") also rushed in. (Photos are from left: Shimooka, Kawakami, Ozaki, Mizoguchi, Sato)

[Waiting queue]

As soon as the opening ceremony was over, the line was lined up at the end of the long line, but the line went around the back of the building from the narrow alley next to the store and reached "Ginza Sakura-dori St." on the side of the highway road. I think it was about 300th.

In the hot weather, I lined up for about an hour and a half, and finally got a numbered ticket at the entrance and finally entered. On the way side by side, the staff was able to hydrate thanks to the constant service of the staff with cold "Tosa Bancha" in a small paper cup. The governor also walked around the line and said apology.

[The inside of the store]

At the entrance, I was given a numbered ticket, two Tosa tea tea packs and two trial yuzu juice packs and entered the store.

Both the first floor and the first basement floor were crowded with a large number of customers.

IMG_4698comp.JPGThe first floor is called "Tosa City (Ichi)" and is a food sales floor for agricultural, livestock and processed foods. At the special event space and seasonal recommended corner immediately after entering the entrance, they sold Kochi vegetables and juices and foam sake from Aki City's "Happy Tomato". The name "Sakamoto Ryoma" stands out on labels for soft drinks such as yuzu and summer, seasonings, sweets, and processed seafood products such as bonito.

The second floor is the restaurant "TOSA DINING Okiyaku", and "Okuyaku" means "banquet" in Tosa dialect. The restaurant has 74 seats and other private rooms, and there is an open kitchen with glass at the entrance on the second floor, where you can see demonstrations of handling bonito. The restaurant was already fully booked.

Others

A 500 yen coin (front: Sakamoto Ryoma, back: image of old coin) of the 60th anniversary of the Local Autonomy Law (for Kochi Prefecture) was distributed as cash register change. (It seems that the first 2,000 people (applicants) on August 21, 22, 25, 28, and 29 each day.)

The text logo of "Marugoto Kochi" is written by a calligrapher Shishu, who wrote the title of this year's NHK Taiga drama series "Ryomaden".

In the evening, I passed once again in front of "Marugoto Kochi", and on August 21, Okinawa's "Konan" won the national high school baseball "Summer Koshien". A poster for "Holiday Okinawa Konan Champion" was affixed to the Okinawa antenna shop "Ginza Watashi Shop" next to it.

And the next "Ginza Watashi Shop" is affixed with the message "Marugoto Kochi, congratulations on opening." At the red gate at the entrance, there is an extra special Okinawa Times entitled "Konan, Spring and Summer consecutive victories". Was.

IMG_4734comp.JPGAs mentioned above, we have briefly introduced the antenna shop "Marugoto Kochi". Seeing is not at first glance ... Please take a look at yourself. A lot of things that cannot be obtained without going to Kochi (?) That's right. In addition, from August 26 (Thu) to 28 (Sat), it seems that two "Tosa Jillow Eggs" will be distributed free of charge.

In addition, "Tosa / Ryoma Deai Expo" is said to be until January 10, next year (2011). Seeing Nara's relocation 1300 event, it would be nice to go to Kochi in Sakamoto Ryoma.
