Chuo-ku has an area of about 10.1 square kilometers, which is called "a town full of charm that shines even if it is small."

　

Ota-ku, the largest of the 23 wards of Tokyo, is about 60.4 square kilometers, Setagaya-ku, the second place is about 58 square kilometers, and Adachi-ku, the third place is about 53.2 square kilometers, and the average of the 23 wards is about 26.9 square kilometers. Even in comparison, Chuo-ku is certainly small. (It is said that it is the 22nd smallest after Taito Ward. Is it me who think it would have been the smallest one to come here?)

　

It is often said that Tokyo Dome is ○ in comparison of size, but what happens when you compare this with Chuo-ku? The area of Tokyo Dome is 46,755 square meters, including the building area. In other words, Chuo-ku is equivalent to about 216 Tokyo Dome.

By the way, the largest municipality is Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture, with a size of 2,177 square kilometers. This is about 216 pieces from Chuo-ku. Tokyo Dome x 216 = Chuo-ku x 216 = Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture. It's just a coincidence, but it's a bit interesting.

One of the things that surprised me to live in Chuo-ku is that there are many festivals and events anyway, for me who moved to several municipalities due to moving or relocating. For example, when I was a child who lived in Saitama, when I was a child, I only remember the summer festival at the end of July, so it's surprising that there are so many festivals with stalls.

I lived in Osaka City, the home of the Tenjin Festival, one of Japan's three major festivals, but there were not many festival events as one ward.

　

If you have a lot of effort or access to such an environment, I would like to go out every day and enjoy it to the fullest!

When I went to Fukutoku Shrine to visit, I learned about the event of this "Forest Opening 1st Anniversary Festival".

The date and time will be from 17:00 on September 29, 2017 (Friday).

However, once a month lunchtime concert is a little richer than usual.

The main hall of Tsukiji Honganji Temple is a pipe organ consisting of 2,000 large and small pipes, which is rare for a temple.

At the lunchtime concert, there is a classical music centering on this pipe organ.

The performance of a Buddhist hymn will be performed.

　

　

Before the concert, Buddhist monk will tell the story.

We recommend that you stay at your seat earlier than the start time (12:20).

An illustration exhibition of original city name, country name and national flag is being held at Gallery Ginza, a gallery located in Ginza 2-chome.

This is an illustration exhibition "~ to fantastic countries ~" by Mr. Kwanra Kure

It seems that this is Mr. Kure's first solo exhibition.

At the venue, original works from 50 countries are exhibited.

All illustrations of the city, country, and national flag created by Mr. Kure.

Mr. Kure creates a country that does not exist on the earth, even the name of the city and the national flag, and is made into a work.

The combination of topography and color is beautiful.

Also, the fact that the names of countries and cities are very likely to create a fantastic atmosphere between reality and fantasy.

This is "Tsuneo Sei's Caricature Grand Prix 2017".

This is an annual open call for caricature enthusiasts from all over Japan, held at Yaesu Gallery Tokyo, an art gallery in the Yaesu Underground Shopping Center.

There are two types, "freedom" and "problems", and this year's challenge is Shohei Otani of Nippon-Ham Fighters, "two-sword style in professional baseball world".

This year, I felt that the materials were more attractive than usual, and the works of the free applicants were varied and powerful.
