[Chuo-ku Tourism Certification Measures] Songs and catchphrases

[Hanes] December 29, 2018 09:00

Hello. This is a new correspondent, Hanes.
This time, we will focus on songs and catchphrases, and introduce useful information for Chuo-ku sightseeing certification measures!

First of all, it's a song, but I don't say you should remember everything.
At least, let's keep the lyrics, composition, singers (if you have a representative person), and singing lyrics!
(If you can afford it, it may be a good idea to keep the performance of the lyricist / composer and the lyrics of other parts.)

■Willow in Ginza
Lyrics: 80 Saijo, composed: Shinpei Nakayama
"♪) Remnants of Yanagi Edo in Ginza who are happy to plant"

■Bon Dance Song of Tsukuda Island
This Bon Odori is characterized by a monotonous rhythm turret drum and an oral song like a memorial Buddha.
It is sung as "Autumn field separation is an impermanent wind, if it scatters, everyone will not remain, and if it is enlightened, the vegetation will be the land, and the Buddha will be the southern Amitabha Buddha."

Next is the catchphrase, etc.

These are not all songs and catchphrases related to Chuo-ku, but they are not all.
Like the previous Haiku and Kawayanagi, there are many impressive things.
When walking around the town, be sure to check these out.

※In this article, we will introduce some of the reasons for this.

[Chuo-ku Tourism Certification Measures] Haiku and Kawayanagi

[Hanes] December 28, 2018 18:00

Hello. This is a new correspondent, Hanes.
The date of the Chuo-ku Tourism Examination Examination is approaching, but is your study progressing smoothly?
This time, I will introduce you to visiting historical sites in Chuo-ku, which also serves as a measure against Haiku and Kawayanagi.

■Mrs. Takeko Kujo, poetry monument
She was born in Kyoto as the second daughter of the gatekeeper of Nishi Honganji Temple and married Baron Yoshiyuki Kujo at the age of 21.
My husband has been living separately for nearly 10 years due to studying and working in the UK.
During that time, I studied Waka (Nobutsuna Sasaki), Painting (Shoen Uemura), and Ikebana (Nishikawa Ikusatei) and refined my talents.

IMG_3622.JPG

The songbooks she left include "Kinsuzu" and "Kaosen" and the essay "Muyuka".
I would like to keep in mind the "Overy Things I'm going to be drawn from the great things" engraved on poetry monument in Tsukiji Honganji Temple.

IMG_3621.JPG

■Kawayanagi, Mizutani Ryotei stone monument
His phrase, worried about the customs of Tsukuda Island and talked about Setsuyoshi Tadataka at home, can be seen on the grounds of Sumiyoshi-jinja Shirine.
"I'm a gentle and hard man,"

■Bronze bell at the time of Kokumachi
This bell was installed in Honishi-cho during the time of the second shogun Hidetada Tokugawa, informing the people of Edo Castle of the time.
Because there was Nagasakiya (Dutch trading post's post office) nearby, Kawayanagi was written....
"I can hear the bell of Kokumachi to the Netherlands."

■poetry monument Takuboku Ishikawa
He joined the Asahi Shimbun in Takiyamamachi, Kyobashi-ku (currently Ginza 6-chome).
For about three years until he died at the age of 26 due to pulmonary tuberculosis, etc., he worked as a proofreader while working as a proofreader.
"Iss of the time when I became a newspaper light in Takiyamamachi in Kyobashi"

IMG_3635.JPG

In addition, his first songbook, "A handful of Sand," begins with "Crying up by the white sand of the shores of Kojima in Tokai and hitting crabs."

■Echigo-ya
Enomoto (Takarai), one of the Juetsu Shomon and a representative of a group called Edoza (which features a flashy phrase that reflects the Edo kid's temperament), wrote such a phrase about Echigoya. .
"Echigo-ya's sound and clothespin,"
The scene seems to suddenly come to my eyes.

IMG_3647.JPG

It's a great deal, so let's remember the other phrases at the corner together.
(We will not explain in detail here, but we recommend that you also check the background where each phrase is written!)

"The path of the crane is as expected in the spring of the sun."
"There is no day when one bell can't be sold, spring in Edo"
"I wonder if this number of boats will be cool."

■Site of Kaikaikan
Kaikaikan, which opened in 1905, is a two-story wooden ryokan in Kappo cuisine, which was relocated from Sendai City.
At that time, this area was a scenic and quiet place with a panoramic view of Tokyo Bay, so famous cultural figures stayed there.
The following is a summary of the Kaikaikan:
"Let's see the winter sea and make the New Tsukuda Sea Water Museum wabi live."
(From Isamu Yoshii's songbook "Poison Utsugi")

■19 tombs
On the left side of his tomb (Shinenzan Toyo-in), the creator of Tokaido Naka-Kurige, is located.
The phrase of a famous dictionary is engraved.
"Goodbye to ashes with the smoke of incense stick in your spare time."

Toyoin. jpg

■The end of Shoin Yoshida
Despite being an excellent man who raised many of the late Tokugawa shogunate soldiers, his resignation phrase, executed in the Kodemmacho prison, is set up in Kodemmacho.
"The body is kept in the Nobe of Musashi even if it does not decay,"

■Sushi
Such a phrase was written because the hand of the craftsman holding the sushi resembles a spell of ninjutsu.
"Vinegar rice held by the body of magic" (Kawayanagi haiku collection "Shufu Yanagi Taru")

I've picked up Haiku and Kawayanagi so far.
All of them are impressive things that are memorable.
If you have a phrase you don't know, why not check it before the test?

※In this article, we will introduce some of the reasons for this.
If you learn the contents written here, you will not be able to pass it.
 Please include it in advance.

I want to try it out! How to enjoy Germany in Chuo-ku

[Hanes] December 24, 2018 18:00

Hello. This is a new correspondent, Hanes.
The streets are getting more and more Christmas mood.
Everyone, are you preparing for Christmas smoothly?

The other day, when it comes to winter, it is associated with North Europe, so I introduced Scandinavian spots that can be enjoyed in the city.
A foreign country associated with Christmas is Christmas...I guess it's in Germany.
In particular, the Christmas market in Germany is famous!
And Queen Victoria of England married Prince Albert from Germany,
Following German customs, we decorated the Christmas tree at Windsor Castle.
A photo of the Queen's family celebrating Christmas around the tree was later published in the newspaper.
Christmas trees have become popular among English ordinary people.
That's why this time we will carefully select and deliver Germany that can be enjoyed in the city!
(In some places, the Chuo-ku Tourism Certification Measures are included.)

■German food
There are a number of German restaurants in the ward, and the one I would like to introduce this time.
It is Stein House Ginza, a German beer & wine specialty store in the Ginza Velvia Pavilion.

DSC_3328.JPG

The reason why I chose this shop is that it has a good reputation for lunch!
For about 1,000 yen, you can enjoy German cuisine with a high level of authentic taste.
I ordered a hamburger lunch.
First of all, from the appetizers served well....

DSC_3329.JPG

After a while, a good scent drifted softly from somewhere.
The main hamburger was brought in
Hamburg that has already been established in Japan, but its origin is Germany!
As you can see in English, it is derived from the food of Hamburg, Germany.
According to the Japan Hamburger Association, Japan
The origin of the hamburger is said to be "Tartal steak, which was popular among workers in Hamburg, a port town in Germany around the 18th century."

DSC_3331.JPG

When you cut the 100% beef hamburger, it overflows with gravy.
The work laut was not too sour, and was just right.
In addition, there are also popular sausage lunch and daily lunch.
It's perfect for enjoying authentic beer and sausage at night!

After the meal, I photographed black tea with a stone wall reminiscent of an old European castle.

DSC_3332.JPG

I've introduced the main dishes so far.
Actually, we are particular about this shop and interior, making it a fashionable space like Western Europe.
For that reason, it was popular with women, and some people used it at women's associations.
It is recommended when you want to have an affordable German lunch in Ginza!

[Stine House Ginza]
Address: 8F Ginza Velvia Hall 2-4-6 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo
Business hours Lunch month to Friday from 11:30 to 14:30
Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays 11:30-14:30
Dinner month to Friday from 17:00 to 23:00
Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays 17:00-23:00
※We have received permission from the person in charge of Stein House Ginza.

■Scenery like Germany
Did you know that there is Kiyosu Bridge, a bridge reminiscent of German scenery in Chuo-ku?
It is said that this bridge was modeled on a suspension bridge in Cologne.
Unfortunately, the bridge that became the model disappeared during World War II.
You can see some European-style gorgeousness on the Cheongju Bridge.

As Mr. Wienerhorn introduced the other day, Cheongju Bridge is currently under construction.
A little further away, I'm looking forward to seeing the beautiful bridge after the construction.

■Germans related to Chuo-ku
Those who take the sightseeing test may have already been in a pinch.
Yes, it's Siebold.
Since he came to Japan as a doctor of Dutch trading post, he has a deep relationship with the Netherlands, but actually German!

Siebold 2.jpg

It is the birthplace of Edo Dutch studies, and since Siebold's daughter Ine opened a maternity hospital in Tsukiji.
A statue is set up in Akatsuki Park in honor of Siebold's achievements.

■German cultural facilities that I want to keep in mind
A reproduction picture scroll of "Kidai Shoran" is permanently installed on the underground concourse wall of Mitsukoshimae Station.
A bird's-eye view of the main street (currently Chuo-dori) from Nihonbashi to Imagawa Bridge around the 2nd year of culture (1805) from the east side, and before many buildings disappeared in the 1806 "Heitora Fire". It is a very valuable picture scroll (author unknown) that depicts the culture of townspeople in detail.
The picture scroll depicts 88 wholesalers and shops along the road, 1671 people coming and going, 20 dogs, 13 horses, 4 cows, 1 monkey, 2 hawks, etc. It is worth a look even though it is duplicated.

It's such a picture scroll, but the original picture is not in Tokyo, New York or London, but in the National Museum of Asian Art in Berlin.
There is a connection with Germany in unexpected places, so test takers need to check!

Rediscover the charm of Japanese tea! @ The 72nd National Tea Festival (2)

[Hanes] December 23, 2018 09:00

Hello. This is a new correspondent, Hanes.
This is the continuation of the 72nd National Tea Festival Report.

After a hand fir tea experience and tasting until 11:00 before, go to the long-awaited keynote speech.
Dr. Isao Kumakura, former president of Shizuoka University of Arts and Culture, under the theme of "Japanese Culture and Japanese Tea".
The more you know, the more interesting the history of tea, the easier it is to understand.
Here's a brief introduction to some of them.

IMG_3553.JPG

■History of Tea in Japan
・It was introduced from China during the time of Emperor Saga.
・In 815, "Nippon Shoki" states, "Emperor Saga was served by Emperor Saga by roasting tea at Bonshakuji Temple in Oomi." This is the first description of Japanese tea in the country's history book.
・Tea cultivation has already been carried out in the early Heian period, and you can see the word "tea garden" in the upper right of the "Heian-kyo Ouchi Back Figure". Because it is located in the upper right, in other words, unlucky direction in the Tohoku region, it seems that tea had the meaning of breaking down evil. There is also a description that tea was planted in the grave.

IMG_3556.JPG

・In Meian Eisai's "Cafe Yoseiki", "Tea is a herbal medicine for curing. It's a magic of age."
・Tea was brought not for the health of the Japanese, but for the ceremony of Zen sect. Zen sect was influenced by samurai, and tea spread to common people through samurai.
・At the beginning of the 15th century, tea sales began to sell green tea in Kyoto.
・In "Takao Kankae Figure Screen", sake (man, spicy) and tea (female, sweet) are compared and drawn.

IMG_3554.JPG

・The tea room in the mountain (the entrance is narrow) was also considered as an entrance to another world from the view of Yamanaka and other worlds, or as an entrance reborn from the same way of thinking as a passing through the womb.
・The song "I wake up Taihei's sleep, I can't sleep at night because I can't sleep at night" has a meaning behind the scenes. It is said that as a result of drinking 4 cups of Uji's fine tea "Kamikisen", he could not sleep at night due to caffeine.
・ More than 20 kinds of teas collected by Siebold are located at the Leiden National Museum of Ethnology in the Netherlands, in which "Kamikisen" is located.

Siebold. jpg

・From the end of the Tokugawa period, tea exports became popular. Whether or not there are crops that can be exported overseas determines whether modernization (acquire foreign currency and obtain overseas information and technology). In Japan, there were silk and tea (at peak, 25,000 tons (25% of total exports)).
・In recent years, domestic demand for tea and soy sauce (one-half consumption of the Edo period) has been sluggish, while overseas demand has increased.

I tried to make a bullet point so easily, but the arrival of Kurofune → Kamikisen → There was also a connection with Siebold, an unexpected Chuo-ku.
Before the excitement of such unexpected discoveries cooled down, go to the rest of the booth!

From the introduction of sweets using tea to the brewing course, can you tell us that it is really fulfilling?
But this is not the end of the tea festival!
The booth (part) where you can experience the charm of tea with your five senses will be introduced in the next article.

Rediscover the charm of Japanese tea! @ The 72nd National Tea Festival (1)

[Hanes] December 21, 2018 12:00

Hello. This is a new correspondent, Hanes.
The other day, I went to the 72nd National Tea Festival (Tea Festival) held in Nihonbashi!
This event has been held in the tea production area until now, and we are aiming for Tokyo 2020.
I want overseas people to know the goodness of Japanese tea.
This event was held in Tokyo, a big city.

Tea festival. jpg

In this event, we will introduce Japanese tea, tasting and tasting, hand fir experience, and brewing experience.
Panel discussion, food education seminar, keynote speech, collaboration session holding,
There are a variety of product sales corners by exhibiting organizations
There were a variety of teas in the venue, and the first thing I went to was....

Tea festival 2.jpg

■Hand fir tea experience corner (Ibaraki Prefectural Sashima Tea Hand Massage Preservation Society)
At first I saw it from a distance, but I had you call out and experienced hand fir tea.
The tea leaves still contain a lot of water, so we want to remove the water.
I swayed on the drying table
What I actually experienced and felt was that the good scent of tea smells softly when shaken!
It is fresher and more fragrant than tea as a drink.
I'm glad that my hands are smooth!

Tea festival 3.jpg

According to the story, it will take at least 5 hours before it becomes tea.
It's a story that seems to be far away, but delicious tea takes a certain amount of time and effort!
After swaying, rotate fir is performed, and then dried through various fir methods.

IMG_3535.JPG

Sarushima tea was not only transported to Edo using the water transport of the Tone River and was highly evaluated.
It is also famous in history as tea exported overseas for the first time in Japan.
It is a tea that cannot be overlooked for me who is born in Ibaraki Prefecture and loves history.

■Uji City Agriculture, Forestry and Tea Industry Division, Kyoto Prefectural Tea Industry Chamber
Next, I went to a booth in Uji City, which is famous for matcha.
Here, Tentama, a blend of Tencha and Gyokuro, which are the raw materials of matcha, was introduced.
Unlike sencha and bancha, Tencha and Gyokuro are different from sencha and Bancha, and it seems that the taste of tea leaves is condensed by cultivation in blocking sunlight.
It was the first tea I heard, but the flavor was completely different from the light green tea.

IMG_3540.JPG

Next door, I was able to teach me how to make matcha and taste it.

Thumbnail image of IMG_3546.JPG

■Shizuoka Tea Promotion Division
At this booth, you will receive a tea can through an SNS-linked campaign at the Fujinokuni Tea City Museum.
I learned that the World Tea Festival will be held in Shizuoka Prefecture in May and November next year.

IMG_3547.JPG

In addition, the tea plantation farming method in Shizuoka, which is a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System, is not only a method for producing high-quality tea.
I learned that it is an environmentally friendly traditional farming method that fosters biodiversity and is also effective in mitigating global warming.
A certified sticker for this farming method is affixed to the package of Kakegawa tea purchased before.
I vaguely had the image of "tea produced with particular focus on traditional farming".
By knowing that it was an effort on a much larger scale than that.
It was an opportunity to review the splendor of this farming method, which has been inherited in Shizuoka.

■Kumamoto Prefectural Economic Federation Tea Production and Distribution Council, Minamikyushu City Tea Distribution Measures Council
Minamikyushu City on the left side (the southernmost tip of Japan's mainland!) At the booth
We tasted Chiran tea, which boasts the largest production volume in Japan.

IMG_3548_.jpg

There seem to be many varieties of Chiran tea, but it was easy to drink because of the seaside.
Just by tasting several kinds of tea so far, the astringency, sweetfish, fragrance, etc. are clearly different, respectively.
I was aware of the many types of Japanese tea that are often forgotten in the present age when PET bottle tea became established.

As in Japan, U.K. (Tea) is a country famous for its tea culture.
There are few black teas in plastic bottles in supermarkets in the UK.
(I've only seen lipton flavor tea.)
At home, tea is brewed and drunk with tea leaves or tea bags, and on the go, the tea is brewed in the same way in a tea room or mobile sales car.
Now that Japanese food has become a global boom, we have once again confirmed the goodness of Japanese tea (of tea leaves) and confirmed the importance of Japanese tea.
It would be nice if we could communicate the appeal to overseas people.

[Time-limited] Let's go to see the warm and fluffy kamakura!

[Hanes] December 19, 2018 18:00

Hello. This is a new correspondent, Hanes.
The other day, I introduced the lighting up in Nihonbashi where you can feel warm even in winter.
Tokyu Plaza Ginza's rooftop "Chirico Terrace Green Side" is available.
Warm-looking kamakura is available for a limited time!

DSC_3303.JPG

This kamakura is made of wool.
Do you feel the fluffy feeling from the photo?

DSC_3304.JPG

The Woolmark Company (a non-profit organization engaged in research, development, and sales of merino wool, a renewable and natural wool that has returned to the soil).
This kamakura, which was realized through the collaboration of traditional Japanese culture, can be enjoyed until December 25 (Tuesday).

DSC_3305.JPG

Surprisingly, there are several places in Ginza where you can enjoy coffee for 100 yen.
This time, at URBAN RESEARCH in Tokyu Plaza Ginza Ginza
I purchased Americano S size (100 yen) and took measures for sightseeing certification for a while while watching the night view.

DSC_3309.JPG

On days when it's not cold, it's not bad to spread the certification text on the roof of a commercial facility.
