◆ Take a night view on the Sumida River in the summer of the bridge.

[Sumida Fireworks] August 10, 2018 18:00

In the evening of Saturday, August 4, I came to Chuo-ohashi Bridge on the Sumida River Terrace. A festival was held at the nearby Sumiyoshi-jinja Shirine, which was crowded with families and children, but anyway, it was "hot!" 。 I came to the wind of the river in search of coolness.

Chuo-ohashi Bridge is a bridge that symbolizes the friendship between Tokyo and Paris. There is a statue of Messenger given by the city of Paris, and there is a square in Paris at the side of the bridge.

I took a picture with such an image of Paris.

s_hanabi63-1.jpg

The "white" of Chuo-ohashi Bridge and the "blue" of Eitai Bridge in the distance. In addition, I wanted to combine the houseboat's "red" and decide in three colors of the French flag tricolor, but I wonder if the ship was a little too pink.

Today, August 4th is "Bridge Day". I came here without any particular guess, so I went upstream from Chuo-ohashi Bridge to take a picture of the night view of the bridge on the Sumida River after a long absence.

One of the blue arches upstream seen from Chuo-ohashi Bridge is Eitai Bridge. In the back is the Sky Tree, which is purple today. Combined with the color of Eitai Bridge, it gives a slightly cool impression.

s_hanabi63-2.jpg

Eitai Bridge is a historic bridge that was built during the reconstruction of the Great Kanto Earthquake. Recently, the shape of street lighting has been changed to the design at the time of construction.

The Eitai Bridge is said to be a "masculine" bridge from its exterior, but the lighting equipment is surprisingly cute. Do you feel like "I don't need decorations"?

s_hanabi63-3.jpg

This bridge has no main pillars and has no gorgeous decoration. This man pursues beauty only in the form of a rugged arch.

Just upstream of Eitai Bridge is the junction with the Nihonbashi River. The "Toyomi Bridge" over there is under construction. I crossed the Nihonbashi River with a temporary bridge over the side, but you can see Toyomi Bridge at a different angle.

s_hanabi63-4.jpg

I liked the bridge, and continued to look at Toyomi Bridge from the top of the temporary bridge, saying, "Is the bottom of the bridge like this?" . It is a rare bridge type in Japan and is called "Fee Ren Dale Bridge".

"Sumida River Ohashi" was seen on a short walk upstream of the Sumida River. When I didn't know how to take a night view, I remember having practiced several times here. Certainly, after I became a correspondent. I miss that time. This is a recommended spot where you can take a long night view.

s_hanabi63-5.jpg

From this bridge, you can see the scenery of Eitai Bridge, which symbolizes the big city of Tokyo. So there are quite a few people who take a night view. Most people have a neat tripod and have a good SLR camera.

On the other hand, when I take a night view in the Sumida River, I take a strap around my neck, wear a palm-sized tripod I bought at a 100-yen shop, and place it on the railings of bridges and terraces. The camera was a digital camera about 7 years ago. If you look around, you will feel a little inferior, but I want to walk around a lot and take pictures, so I like this style that can be easily taken.

It's probably enough to put it on a blog. But because people see it, I try not to pull out my own hands, but it was a bit too dark.

s_hanabi63-6.jpg

Here, if I took one picture, the battery of the camera was dead. 。 。

When I searched inside the bag, the tripod I bought at a 100-yen shop attached to my smartphone was miraculously contained, so I decided to take a picture with my smartphone. It is a smartphone of SONY Experience 4 or 5 years ago, but it can be taken as it is.

s_hanabi63-7.jpg

Whether it's a digital camera or a smartphone, the basics of how to take a night view are the same. I would like to introduce you a little bit.

It is important to "take horizontally" photos of landscapes that should be horizontal. If it is not horizontal, it will give a sense of discomfort to the person who sees the photo. And in the case of a night view, it is important not to shake it.

To solve these two problems

 ・Use a tripod

 ・Use a 2-3-second self-timer

That's enough. No flash is required.

After that, in order to collect a lot of light, I try to slow down the shutter speed with "long exposure" and try to collect the shutter speed.

There is a way to raise and lower the "ISO sensitivity" to adjust the brightness you like, but this area depends on the camera's function.

My smartphone had "ISO sensitivity" and "white balance" adjustment functions, so I tried it.

s_hanabi63-8.jpg

You can change the color by setting the white balance. It makes it cool or warm. It's summer, so it's better to cool it down.

And if you can add text to the photo, such as when posting a photo on SNS, we recommend that you add three or four lines of text.

By adding text to each photo, even a typical photo becomes a meaningful photo, and life is blown. The same photo looks more beautiful, fun, and very sad. The impression of the photo changes with the attached text.

As mentioned above, the Sumida River has been walking with Gudaguda, but it flows through the city, so it is full of light at night. It may be enough to just look at the night view, but night view shooting is surprisingly easy if you take a lot of time. At night, what you don't want to be photographed disappears in the dark, and only beautiful lights remain, so anyone can take beautiful pictures.

If you are interested, I hope you will try this Sumida River.

Chuo-ku - Creatures in the River

[Nyan,] July 25, 2018 18:00

Hot days continue every day. Sometimes I compare the world's highest temperature with Japanese ones, for example, Manila, Philippines.

When we know that today's minimum temperature is 25 degrees and the maximum is 30 degrees, "O ... cooler than Japan." Someday the southern country is likely to become a summer resort.

koukyo.jpg

Even so, for me who is busy with heat metabolism, I jog in Tokyo, which has become a free sauna. You can run 30 km in winter, but at this time it is 10 km and hello.

Rather than sweating, the feeling that the body is melting is enough to enjoy the process of degenerating from mammal to amphibians.

The photo is not Amazon. It's a place in Tokyo.

In fact, it is the moat of the Imperial Palace. Due to eutrophication and high temperatures, the overgrowth of aquatic plants may be gaining momentum and leaving Japan.

(It is said that the moat of the Imperial Palace is also refrigerated and filtered appropriately, but the transparency differs between the Hanzomon side and the Ote-mon gate side depending on the location of the filtration device.)

Well, what to hide, I love animals, and aquatic animals have been really familiar since childhood. In the future, I was seriously worried whether to aim for the master of Kungfu or the director of the zoo.

Events and history that are full of Edo atmosphere around the Sumida River are endless, and it is natural to call itself "Mizuto Tokyo" even from the daimyo residence made by drawing water from Tamagawajosui and the cityscape of Edo. I can't enter. At the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics 2020, the importance of transportation using waterways from Haneda Airport etc. will increase more than ever.

Oh! For that reason, although it has become better than the old days when the bad smell occurred, when traveling on a boat, I am inevitably worried about "dirty water". (Of course, there may be opinions about the large population and the large number of artifacts.)

And if you would like to see the materials that summarize the current situation of aquatic animals in Chuo-ku here, we will introduce Chuo-ku "creatures in the river".

In brackish waters where salt water is mixed, river water is divided into upper, seawater is divided into lower, and when the tide rises, seawater goes up the bottom of the river to upstream. It seems that seawater flows into the Iwabuchi sluice gate in Kita Ward on the Sumida River. Speaking of Iwabuchi sluice gate, it is 20 km north of Arakawa cycling road. The brackish water continues from the mouth of the river.

In general, brackish waters are mixed with freshwater and sea creatures, so the diversity of living things increases, but from that point of view, it is a bit disappointing that there are few creatures that can be captured. (Although there is no description on the above page, you can sometimes see mokuzu crab, which is said to be delicious because of the closeness of Shanghai crab.)

We believe that the purification of water quality and the improvement of biodiversity that can be seen will increase the value of Tokyo, and we will continue to watch it. (I would like to be involved not only in looking at it, but also in efforts to clean water.)

Deep Chuo-ku "Kaikan Edition 2"

[May rain George] July 7, 2018 09:00

Last November, we described "Deep Chuo-ku" Kaikan Edition "" and introduced "Weightlifting Hall", "Margarine Hall", "Soy Sauce Hall", etc.

After that, I found some interesting halls, so this time I would like to introduce four of them.

==================================

Japan Dance Hall (Nihondan Sukaikan)

 2-33-4, Nihonbashihamacho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo

The Japan Ballroom Dance Federation (JBDF) is included here. Ballroom dance is a dance performed in a dance room (ball room), and is characterized by a dance performed in a pair (couple). Currently, it is treated as a synonym with ballroom dance.
The chairman of JBDF is Motoko Inakawa, also known as the president of an overseas talent office. In addition to the Ballroom Dance Federation in 46 prefectures except Hokkaido, many organizations are affiliated, so to speak, it's like the "former tightening" of ballroom dance.
It's a plain building located behind Meijiza, but it's surprising that there was such a hall right next to my office.

Cosmetics Hall (Keshohinkaikan)

 2-10-5, Higashinihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo

This hall contains the secretariat of the National Federation of Cosmetic Retail Cooperatives (CRC) and the Tokyo Metropolitan Cosmetic Cosmetics Retail Cooperative Association (Tokyo Cosmetics Association).
CRC is a cooperative that brings together about 7,000 cosmetic stores nationwide with the aim of conducting reliable cosmetic sales with the correct knowledge and skills of cosmetics. They are jointly selling cosmetics-related products, advertising, product research and development, education and information provision, and welfare for union members.

Shokuryokaikan

 15-15, Nihonbashikodenmacho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo

The Food Hall is a building that includes the headquarters of the National Rice Sales Business Mutual Aid Cooperative (U.S. Sales), a nationwide organization organized by rice wholesalers, covering all over Japan from Hokkaido to Okinawa.
U.S. sales activities include communicating information about rice to consumers and union members, consulting union members' management, welfare support and business support, promoting the expansion and establishment of Japanese food centered on rice, and `` nationwide common rice '' It seems that they are issuing tickets.
My father worked for a rural rice business union before his birth, so it was one of the buildings I had been concerned about for a long time.

Measurement Hall (Keisokukaikan)

 2-15-12, Nihonbashikakigaracho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo

The former measurement hall was located in Toranomon in Chiyoda-ku, but in 2007, a new building was started in Nihonbashikakigaracho, Chuo-ku due to the redevelopment of Toranomon. It was completed in April 2008. It is located in a quiet office area behind the main street.
The main hall is an organization called the Japan Electric Measuring Manufacturers Association (JEMIMA). More than 100 major, small and medium-sized manufacturers and organizations are involved, contributing to technological innovation as a leader in various cutting-edge industries.

[Extra] Chuo-ku in Hong Kong I found while traveling

[Ino-chan] June 20, 2018 18:00

I went to Hong Kong at the beginning of this year.

The damp air that clung around the body, and the lukewarm wind that exposes it.

It is a fascinating big city that does not get tired of visitors, with its unique heat and fairyness.

IMG_2946.jpg

Hong Kong-like landscape with a high population density, commonly known as monster apartments.

※Because it is private land, prior permission is required for shooting.

I found the letters "Tsukiji" and "Tsukishima" in the city of Hong Kong.

It is pushed to the front as a "gimmick" (gimmick) that attracts customers.

It can be seen that the town name of Chuo-ku plays a role like a brand in this area.

IMG_3080.jpg

Wanzi Ferry Pier on the island of Hong Kong.

IMG_2909.jpg

This is Tsuchiuri Bay (Tokuwawan) area on the Kuryu side.

There was a time when the words "Made in Japan" and "made in Japan" were uttered.

However, it seems that these days have been more fragmented.

In Hong Kong, which has both English and kanji culture, the characters "Tsukiji" and "Tsukishima" are appealing.

Isn't it expensive?

Time slip to Ginza in Edo? Genji Firefly Appreciation Party

[Hanes] June 1, 2018 14:00

Hello. This is a new correspondent, Hanes.
The other day, I found a rare creature walking in Ginza.
That's right!

DSC_2321.JPG

The thick antennae and the red head look like a black butterfly with an impact.
It was beautiful and trivial, and for a moment I thought it was something art....

DSC_2323.JPG

When I checked it immediately, it was named Fireflyga.
If you say that, it's like a firefly!
In Japan, it lives nationwide and does not seem to be so rare.
Because larvae secretions are poisonous, they are often exterminated as pests at an early stage.
It was the first time I actually saw an adult.

And this antennae is different from other moths and butterflies.
Actually, it is also a point to distinguish males and females!
By the way, the feather-shaped one is male, and the comb tooth-shaped one is female.

IMG_9392.JPG

It seems that they live in a way that they are not predated, such as giving off a bad smell when captured.
Even if it looks fascinating, don't touch it.

Still, summer traditions like fireflies are something I want to see up close....
This time, I have good news for everyone!
From 18:00 to 21:00 (until 20:00 on the last day) from June 4 (Mon) to 10 (Sun).
At the special venue (7-8-9 Ginza, Chuo-ku) on the 2nd floor of the Ginza Main Store, Soke Genkichichoan Ginza Main Store,
"The 15th Genji Firefly Watching Party" (free admission) will be held.
(For details, click here: http://www.kitchoan.co.jp/site/web/index.cgi?c=news-2&pk=433)

It seems that eggs born at last year's viewing party were carefully raised in the nature of Okayama.
As in the early summer of Ginza in the Edo period, it is a valuable opportunity to enjoy fantastic scenery.
Why don't you stop by after a walk that also serves as a cool evening on your way home from work or school?

Early Summer Walk in Early Summer

[HK] April 21, 2018 18:00

Take a walk in Tsukuda after a long time. If you look at Tsukuda Park from Tsukuda Kobashi area, there is a wonderful shadow race there. There is also a place in Chuo-ku where you can relax in nature.

While walking around Tsukuda area, found a nice lace shadow by looking at Tsukuda Park from Tsukuda-kobashi bridge direction.
There are places in Chuo-ward that people can feel the nature and relax.

IMG_0378.jpg

I found cute flowers nearby.

Pretty flowers!

IMG_0392.jpg

There are still a lot of nice places.

So many splendid places in the district.
