At the Hamarikyu Onshi Garden, following the Yoshino cherry tree, which was in full bloom at the end of last month, the so-called Satozakura, which is planted mainly on the shores of the pond from the Odeni Bridge to the Yokobori Kaiden Bridge.

Satozakura (Satozakura) is a collective term for horticultural varieties that are produced in a broad sense and oshima cherry as the mother species inyamazakura.

There are many varieties that bloom brilliantly, and most of the Yae-zakura seems to belong to this group.

Generally, among the cherry blossoms with very weak fragrances, some of the cherry trees in the oshima cherry and wild cherry tree strains have a strong fragrance and are called "smell cherry trees."

Among them, "Surugadai Scent" is a representative variety.

It is said to have been planted in a samurai residence in Surugadai during the Edo period, and is said to have a refreshing scent similar to hyacinth.

The scent of coumarin pickled in cherry leaves is also faint.

In addition, "Shiroyuki", a pure white single large ring "Shiroyuki", a pure white double large ring "White Myou", and "Five Colored Yae-zakura", which is said to be the origin of the name "Shironomi", "The elephant of "Kazuha", which is folled from the center of the flower", which is said to be the origin of the elephant.

The variety of Satozakura in different colors and ways of blooming are different from Yoshino cherry tree.

Ginza Sakura-dori St. Night Cherry Blossom Viewing Mid April 2016

[Silver] April 15, 2016 16:00

On April 14th, we enjoyed watching cherry blossoms at night at "Ginza Sakura-dori St." in Ginza 1-chome.

On the way, we visited the shops participating in Tokyo Art Antiques 2016 and saw the treasured items.

And I just filled three cups of refreshment with a little bambi and filled my stomach with the recommended "Untan gratin" recommended by the store.

You can see the cherry blossoms at night.

Countdown of the gull's departure

[The Rabbit of Tsukuda] April 15, 2016 14:00

A bird in Tokyo, the name of the route.

Actually, did you know everyone who was migratory bird?

I lived here in Chuo-ku for more than 15 years, but I learned about this fact only a few months ago.

Because I always fly, I always run, this is a train

When I thought I was always there, it was a mistake. 。 。

It was the same winter bird as the swan that came to Japan to pass the winter.

It seems that he will soon travel to Siberia to make a family.

Pay attention to your face~, yeah

It's like this. Did you get sunburned due to ultraviolet rays?

No, you've changed from winter feathers to summer feathers.

Finally, the countdown to Siberia has begun.

These squirrels,

It is often found not only on Harumi Wharf, but also on the Hamarikyu Water Bus Departure, Kachidokibashi near the mouth of the Sumida River, and Sumida River Terrace near Chuo-ohashi Bridge.

This is also a charm that Chuo-ku faces Tokyo Bay.

Can't you believe it? Unbelievable?!

[HK] April 15, 2016 12:00

When I was walking along a narrow road near the police box at 6-chome to try tea at Tsukiji, suddenly found a mysterious apartment? !

As walking through narrow street somewhere around Tsukiji 6-chome, all the sudden, very strange looking appartment appeared!

The back of Tsukiji Honganji Temple (2.) JPG

I've seen it somewhere ... maybe Tsukiji Honganji's pacli?

I thought that the semi-cylindrical roof of Tsukiji Honganji was just coming out from behind the apartment.

I was surprised, so just one piece.

Although it looked very familiar, pretty much of partial mock-up of Tsukiji Hongwanji Temple. The mystery was easily solved.  The appartment itself was built on the other side of the temple and the arch type roof of the temple just happened to show up. Took a snap shot since it was quite an encounter.

And I headed to my destination, Tsukiji Chabo, but it closed in the 45th year of business! Why? I hope it's a lie.

Headed to "Tsukiji Sabo", a local cafe, but eventually, had to find and admit a sad news on the door. The cafe closed down!  This cafe has been serving locals since 1972 and god help us why now?

Tsukiji Chabo 1 (2.) JPG

The coffee jelly here was exquisite. The price was also excellent at 200 yen, and on Saturday it was a price of 100 yen, half price! !

One of the best choices of this cafe was "coffee jelly with vanila ice cream on top" which only costed JPY200 and its high quality valued for money. On Saturdays, this masterpiece used to be discounted 50% and was served for JPY100.  Assume that this tragedy shocked all the local sweet tooth.

I was a little disappointed to lose the fine enjoyment of the weekend, but I revisited and went out to the main street, worshiped Tsukiji Honganji in front and headed to the next destination. But I still want you to be a dream.

Who cannot be upset when one has lost one's weekend pleasure. Just unbelievable. Perhaps nothing sweet can last forever, poor me and my coffee jelly・・・

Walked to front side of Tsukiji Hogwanji Temple and took a good look to cheer oneself up and headed to the next destination.

Mr. Suitengu has come back!

[Marsha Horiuchi of Edo] April 14, 2016 18:00

On April 8, in Nihonbashikakigaracho, the famous god of safe delivery, "Suitengu-san"
New shrine hall looks like a modern and new wood with a seismic isolation structure, at the intersection below it.
It is open along with the Suitengu-mae police box with a kind feeling.

In the first year of Edo's Bunsei (1818), the Arima family of the Kurume clan was recommended for a spirit from the Kurume clan.
It is said that this construction project was promoted because the 200th anniversary of 2018 was reached.

The famous statue of "Koho Inu" has also returned from the temporary residence Royal Park.

Fuku dogs (in dog papier) and dogs wearing bamboo (bags) (if converted into kanji, it is fun only for those who purchased it)

I bought lucky items.

If you like, please go out.

Thank you.

Fuji begins to bloom [Tsukiji River Kameibashi Park]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] April 14, 2016 14:00

fujikam01.JPG

Tsukiji River Kamei Bridge Park, which was built to cover the capital highway Toshin Beltway, beside Kamei Bridge, has a Fuji shelf.

It's the purple part of the map below.

fujikam00.jpg

The cherry blossoms in this park are about to end, but as of the 12th, Fuji flowers are beginning to bloom from the buds that had many on the Fuji shelf.

fujikam04.JPG

Fuji is a deciduous deciduous tree of the legume family, endemic species in Japan.

fujikam03.JPG

It seems to be a favorable plant that prefers a place where direct sunlight shines, and it will bloom more and more when the weather continues.

fujikam05.JPG

Sakura is over, and Fuji is in full bloom from now on Golden Week.
