Benicamemochi (benikana) autumn leaves

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] April 1, 2016 16:00

In spring, spring flowers begin to bloom all at once, especially cherry blossoms tend to attract attention, but during this season, we often see plants that are colored red like this in Chuo-ku.

It is a new shoot of Benikanamemochi (red bean)kanam02.JPG

The shooting location is the planting area (map below, red frame location) on the Ginza Blossom side between Miyoshi Bridge and Kamei Bridge, beside the Metropolitan Expressway.

Benika umemochi is an evergreen broad-leaved tree of the family Rosaceae, whose leaves turn red in early spring and turns green in winter.

Autumn leaves at the time of sprout seem to turn red with anthocyanins.

It is planted as garden hedges, street trees, and park trees, so please appreciate the autumn leaves in spring.

The photo above shows the autumn leaves of Benikanamochi at Kyobashi Library.
