"Yakushiji Jionden Dedication shohekiga Exhibition" [Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] February 4, 2017 18:00

"Yakushiji Jionden Dedicated shohekiga Exhibition" is being held at the gallery on the 7th floor of the new building at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store.

jionden001.JPG

As you know, Yakushi-ji Temple is the Daihonzan of the Hoso sect where Nara Nishinokyo is located, and ancient temple is one of the seven major temples in Nanto.

In 1998, it was registered in World Heritage by UNESCO as part of the cultural property of the ancientmain deity Nara.

jionden002.JPG

Jionden was founded in the Edo period and was relocated to the current Xuangzang Sanzoin temple complex in 1988.

Gohei Hosokawa (former Prime Minister) will dedicate a total of 66 shohekigas (108 pieces) to Jionden, and 23 (37 pieces) on the north side will be exhibited prior to completion in 2019.

At the same time, some precious temple treasures such as "Shoka" dedicated to Yakushi-ji Temple and seated statue of Jion Daishi are also on display.

The scattered flower is a vetch-shaped piece of paper scattered around the Buddhist memorial service, and the scattered flowers on display are Ikuo Hirayama, Kaii Higashiyama, Yuki Ogura, Ryohei Koiso, Shoko Uemura, Tokushi Okumura, Morikazu Kumagai, Kazumasa Nakagawa, Junsaku Koizumi, Tamako Kataoka, and Matazo Kayama.

It was interesting to see the artist's individuality in how to use the extremely limited space of scattered flowers.

Also, Mr. Hosokawa's shohekiga was very impressive in yellow. It will be waiting for completion.

How about eel for "Winter soil"? -Eel Kappo cuisine Oedo

1. February 3, 2017 14:00

100_2216.JPG 100_2219.JPG 100_2220.JPG

What is "Winter soil"? As you may think, "Doyo" refers to the 18 days before spring, summer, fall, and winter, so there are four times a year. This year is from January 17th to February 3rd. Summer "Ox Day of the Earth" = Since the eel has been established, other earthworms have rarely become talked about.

As you all know, the eel season was originally from autumn to winter, and it was not sold very much in summer, so Gennai Hiraga and Nanpo Ota were asked by an eel shop to think about a copy. It is now like a summer event to eat eel on the day of the ox in summer. However, at present, eels are cultivated more than 90%, so "season" is very irrelevant and can be enjoyed all year round.

Today I came to Oedo in Nihonbashi Honmachi. "Eel Kappo cuisine Oedo" is a stone guide written next to the entrance of the shop, as stated in the shop, "The beginning of the first Kansei period (1800) when Sokaya Yoshibei set up a store in Edo." It's been a long time since I visited you with entertainment 10 years ago. I visited you around 13 o'clock, but it's almost full. I would like to have Unashige Nagatsuki (3,600 yen) and my friend would have Unadon (3,800 yen). If you have a bite, you will be surprised at the taste.

Eels are certainly effective in beauty, or it's a bit nice to have them delicious. Eel may be the best for drying and fatigue in winter. I wanted to make "Eel in winter" a little popular, so I thought about something like an eel shop's turner.

Spring is coming soon

[Marsha Horiuchi of Edo] February 2, 2017 16:00

By the way, January is over, and in the lunar calendar, February 4 of the spring is in front of you.

The day before was Setsubun in bean-throwing ceremony, but I feel that spring has already reached that point.

Right now, during the New Year's Day (New Year) in China, such as China, celebrating New Year's Day in the lunar calendar.

I will meet a lot of tourists from Asia.

<Nihonbashi Information Center> NIHONBASHI INFORMATION, located in the basement of Coredo Muromachi 1, was lined with dolls and demons before the Hina Matsuri on March 3, creating a sense of the current season. It's getting warmer!
