This "Santokudo" is a specialty store of Puerh tea in Taiwan, but "Taiwan Shaved Ice", which is open during summer, is a hot topic on TV and magazines.
When you enter the shop one step, the wall is full of Taiwanese colors such as tea packages, miscellaneous goods, costumes, etc., and you will be wondering where you got lost for a moment. "Taiwan shaved ice" mainly focuses on the difference in syrup on ice shaved by ordinary shaved ice in Japan, whereas toppings are fruits, beans, jelly, etc. It may be said that it is similar to the famous shaved ice "Shirokuma" in Miyazaki and Kagoshima prefectures.
Today, the hot topic "Mango shaved ice" is already over the season, so we decided to have the most popular "Mame beans shaved ice" (1,000 yen) and "Aitamago jelly shaved ice" (780 yen). "Bean Bean Shaved Ice" is 10 kinds of toppings by adding love egg jelly to 9 kinds of beans. Rather, beans are the main thing. Unfortunately, it was after having a good lunch, so unfortunately GIVE UP in half. It's wise to skip one meal and TRY. "Aitamago Jelly" has a syrup made by boiling brown sugar in Puerh tea on a place where a lot of jelly is topped. The syrup is quite sweet, but it has a mysterious and smooth texture.
According to the store's explanation, "Because it is boiled in Pu'er tea for a long time, the unique texture of brown sugar is eliminated." A combination of hot puerh tea that follows with you seems to be healthy. The love egg jelly I had for the first time in a long time was very nostalgic and delicious. In the past, a Chinese food teacher I attended was from Taiwan and remembered the mysterious texture of Aitamago Jelly, which I ate for the first time in dessert. By the way, "Aitamago" is a plant similar to figs unique to Taiwan, and it seems that it becomes jelly-like when dried seeds are returned in the water.
There is also a take-out of shaved ice (300 yen).
