"Katobushi Opening Song 300th Anniversary Concert" Held Kabukiza Theater

1. October 29, 2017 09:00

100_2551.JPG 100_2550.JPG

On the 27th, one day after the October Kabuki performance Senakiraku, the “Katobushi Opening 300th Anniversary Concert” was held at Kabukiza Theater day and night.

"Kato-bushi" is known for the fact that when the Ichikawa Muneke performs Kabuki 18th "Sukeroku Enen Edo Sakura", the amateur husband "Kato-Setsu Goren" will always appear in the curtain. However, this format has been established since the middle of the Edo period when Danjuro, the second generation premiered "Sukeroku". It is an event commemorating the 300th anniversary of Kyoho 2 (1717) that the first generation Kato Masumi divided from Edo Joruri's Hantayubushi and founded independently. The first Kato Masumi was a child of Tenmaya, a fish merchant in Nihonbashi, who emerged under the Edo Hantayu Gate and became independent. (I was absorbed in Joruri and crushed the shop...)

At the commemorative party, there is a one-day performance, and the audience seats are full of beautiful sisters and actors' faces, and visitors are dressed in gorgeous visiting clothes. The day part opens with "Matsunouchi", which was performed when he became independent 300 years ago. After Ebizo of the Ichikawa Soke family, who has been closely connected to Kato-bushi since the Edo period, two children, Reika-chan and Shogen-kun's dance "Ebi", were applauded just by appearance. The worried face of the guardian Ebizo is smiling. And "Matsuno Kotobuki Sanbaso" is a luxurious version of Gohachi Yoshida, Okina Kikugoro, Chitose Kikunosuke, Sanbaso is Ebizo. At the end of the daytime section is Ebizo-san in the dance "Sukeroku Place En Edo Sakura". On the usual stage, it is spectacular that "Kato Setsu Goren", which is invisible from the audience inside the lattice of Miuraya in Yoshiwara, is lined up with nearly 70 people with black crests on the stage. If you look closely at the program, all the appearances in the daytime were women, and all the Joruri people in the evening were men. The masters of Nihonbashi and Ginza may be inside.

Lighting of electric streetlights 135 years ago

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] October 28, 2017 09:00

gaitog005.JPG

The first light in Japan was on November 1, 1882, in Ginza, Japan.

It was just 135 years ago ().

gaitog004.JPG

At that time, many people gathered to see this "arc lamp" at a glance at the brightness, and it seems that it became a famous place in Ginza.

gaitog001.JPG

In commemoration of "Japan's first electric streetlight construction site", the Ginza Memorial Light was built on October 1, 1956 by people involved.

After that, this commemorative light was rebuilt several times, and the current one was restored last September.

gaitog000.jpg

The place is at the Ginza 2-chome intersection where Chuo-dori and Ginza Marronnier Street intersect (red place in the map above).

The four stores that make up this intersection are the top four brands of Bulgarian, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Cartier.

The wall facing Ginza Marronnier Street of Cartier's shop is fitted with an "Electrical Light Pole Monument".

dogwood's bright red fruit

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] October 27, 2017 18:00

hanami101.JPG

dogwood on Matsuya Street has bright red fruits.

hanami102.JPG

dogwood (Hanamizu tree) is a deciduous Takagi of the Japanese dogwood subgenus, and is a representative flowering tree in the United States.

hanami104.JPG

In 1912, Tokyo City at that time presented cherry blossoms to the United States, and in return, white flowers were donated by the United States in 1915, when dogwood came to Japan.

Because it is durable and easy to grow, it is now widely used in house symbol trees and street trees.

hanami103.jpg

As a street tree in Chuo-ku, 434 trees are managed in dogwood (as of May 8, 2017).

hanami105.jpg

Flowers bloom from late April to early May, but what looks like these petals is exactly "leaf" called bracts (ho).

hanami106.jpg

In this season, shiny small elliptical fruits (complete fruits) ripen red and are very beautiful.

After this, the leaves turn red in late autumn and fall in winter.

"Plain Pancake" cooking class under Yukinoshita

[The Rabbit of Tsukuda] October 26, 2017 09:00

On October 23, when the typhoon passed and the dazzling blue sky spread, a cooking class was held at the popular cafe "Yukinoshita Ginza" with a constant line. The location is Ginza 1-chome, which is close to Kyobashi Plaza, on the 3rd floor of the Tomato Building, where a large tomato picture is a landmark. Of course, I will teach you the synonymous "Plain Pancake" when you say Yukinoshita.

1.jpg for blog under the snow

In the recipe, I taught each process carefully, including how to use equipment, in the amount that is easy to make at home.

2.jpg for blog under snow

By baking slowly at low temperature, you can create a pancake that will attract everyone! ! My dream time flows for pancakes like yesterday.

3.jpg for blog under the snow

From the dough of Shaba Shaba, the freshly baked texture is like magic.

In midsummer, Usako always returned to the sidelines lined up from the third floor. I finally entered the store in September. I was captivated by the thickness and height of that pancake since I met him. This time, it was a very satisfying cooking class that solved the mystery.

According to the store manager Nishigaya, the first cooking class was held this time with the desire to make the pancake boom from four years ago a culture. It started in Osaka and opened a store in Ginza soon. The restaurant with veranda and counter seats is an open space like an urban park.

A Christmas-only classroom will be held on December 4th. Christmas version of pancakes. What kind of arrangement is it? I don't use the oven, so it's easy to make it. If you are interested, please visit the website below.

"Mue Bon" Japan's first solo exhibition [Megumi Ogita Gallery]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] October 25, 2017 18:00

syser001.JPG

At the Megumi Ogita Gallery in Ginza 2-chome, the first solo exhibition in Japan by Mue Bonn, a Thai artist currently based in Bangkok, Thailand, "System Error!" "is being held.

syser002.JPG

The event will be held from Friday, October 20 to November 4 (Sat).

syser003.JPG

Mue Bon is a street artist () whose real name, age, and face photo have not been revealed, but in Thailand, characters such as birds, fish and dokuro drawn by Bon are found throughout Thailand, from Chiang Mai in northern Thailand to southern Hat Yai It seems that it exists throughout Thailand, such as roadsides and shops shutters.

syser004.JPG

I was surprised to learn for the first time that Bonn's street art is supported by the whole country in Thailand.

syser005.JPG

When you enter the venue, it is much darker than the lighting at the gallery's regular exhibition, and there are spotlights on the wall.

This indicates that the so-called "street art" is "what is drawn at night".

syser006.JPG

This exhibition features Bonn's trademark black birds, fish characters, and works depicting many eyes on a circular canvas.

syser007.JPG

There are mysterious paintings that are drawn powerfully with oil paints and sprays, and while using bright colors, it becomes unstable when viewed for some reason.

syser008.JPG

The theme is "System Error!" "Image disturbances, dubbings, and fluctuations that make the image "" are drawn, and they may stimulate the real experience in the viewer's brain and make them feel unstable.

syser009.JPG

In the project room in the gallery, there is also a video of about three minutes created by Mr. Bon for this solo exhibition. Indeed, "System Error !!" in modern society This is a video work that reminds us of a warning.

syser010.JPG

This time, we also received special consent for interviews and photography at the venue.

Thank you very much
