The sidewalk in Chuo-ku is interesting! 3 [Pedestrian Bridge]

[Minato kid] May 13, 2018 12:00

Hello, this is Minato kid. Currently, Chuo-ku has a total of 18 pedestrian bridges, 7 in the Kyobashi area, 6 in the Nihonbashi area, and 5 in the Tsukishima area. Today, I would like to introduce two pedestrian bridges that are next to each other over Showa-dori. There was also a nice sidewalk here.

♪ Gin Toichi Pedestrian Bridge

"Gin Toichi Pedestrian Bridge" is located on Showa-dori, Ginza 1-chome 14-20. Here, there were four pictures representing the waterside of Chuo-ku.

There are many waterfronts in the Sumida River, canals, Shinsui-Koen Park and Chuo Ward. There is a beautiful cherry blossom spot, where wild birds such as black gulls visit and make us feel the season. And the bridges full of charm are symbols of Chuo-ku.

♪ Takaramachi Pedestrian Bridge

"Takaramachi Pedestrian Bridge" is located on Showa-dori, Kyobashi 2-9-16. Here, eight kinds of seasonal flowers were drawn in order from spring.

This road, nicknamed Showa-dori, has the name of "Tokyo Metropolitan Road Main Regional Road No. 316". When viewed from the pedestrian bridge, you will notice that the roadway is very large. It is said that this was widely taken with lessons learned from the fact that sparks moved across roads during the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923 and the spread of fires. In addition, there are many companies in this area, and many business people use this pedestrian bridge on weekdays. It would be nice if I could look at the picture at my feet and feel a little relieved.

Ginza willow history booklet "Ginza willow"

[Silver] May 12, 2018 12:00

I received the booklet "Ginza's willow".

It describes "History of willows in Ginza" since the Meiji era.

(The next photo shoots a panel of the Ginza Yanagi Festival.)

_DSF5037.JPG

"In the Meiji era, Shin Ryogaecho was changed to Ginza. The whole area is burned by the great fire of Ginza. In Tokyo's non-combustible urban plan by the Meiji government, the policy of building a Ginza brick street was decided. Ginza Street, which is paved with red bricks on the horse path and humanitarianism, is completed. Trees of pine, maple and cherry trees in Yotsuji on Ginza Street. Pine and cherry blossoms die due to the watery soil in the landfill. It is replanted in willows that live in wetlands. This is the history of the birth of the first willow. And around 1921, the street trees in Ginza will almost become willows. From the story of the second and third births, in 1965, 20 out of 200 willows were replanted. Ginza-dori major renovation as a commemorative project in 1967. The 208 willows in Ginza were removed from 203, excluding the 5 in front of Teattle Tokyo in Kyobashi due to renovation work on Ginza Street and remarkable weakness. After this, an article titled "Ginza's willow" will be introduced by Mr. Kazuji Shiiba, Chairman of Ginza Gomon Street and Mr. Yasuo Katsumata, Chairman of Ginza Kinharu Street. I'll omit some of the articles, but from now on, I'm going to do that.

"I'm happy to plant" willows in Ginza, all over the country. According to a report from the Asahi Shimbun that "Ginza's willow was from Azumino", it was also written that Ginza's willow returned to Nagano.

This booklet was received from the executive committee at the venue of the 12th Ginza Yanagi Festival. .

In addition, at the venue, there was a quiz about "Yanagi Tree".

Miniature World "Face to Face More Soba"

[Mido] May 12, 2018 12:00

The exhibition of miniature world by Satoshi Tanaka, an artist who has received high praise in Japan and overseas, is being held for the first time in Ginza.

When you enter the entrance, the first thing that catches your eyes is that baked bread and colorful bottle jams are displayed. When you approach the work, you can see the world of "miniature" that has been elaborately created. The 1/12 scale of the real thing has a delicate and genuine texture. The bottle of jam is 7mm in diameter and 9mm in height.

Satoshi Tanaka's work is characterized by the fact that most of them are familiar, such as colorful sweets, food, miscellaneous goods, and plants. It is said that he values the eyes of the viewer and tries to make things that can be sympathetic.

These miniature works can be photographed, and there is also a fingertips experience corner, so why not share them on SNS? It is a space where playfulness is packed in handwritten characters and every corner of the display, making you want to see forever.

Satoshi Tanaka - Miniature World Face to Face The Paula Museum Annex

1. May 11, 2018 12:00

I was wandering around Ginza in the middle of GW and found this poster. When I went to Paula Building, I said, "I'm waiting for an hour now." I decided to go back and tried again after the consecutive holidays.

It's during the daytime on Weekday Day, but it's quite a good visitor, so you can imagine how to get in GW.

This "miniature world" is made of things that are close to us, such as food and miscellaneous goods, in a size of one-twelfth of the real thing, with a real texture. It has been 17 years since the writer Satoshi Tanaka started making this miniature work. There is a loupe and says, "Please approach as if you look into it." It's free to shoot.

Baggetts, croissants, small bottles of jam (with the product name on the label), cup ramen (with seals removed and splits on the way), sushi, accessories, chocolates, various shoes lined up in a row. All of them were cute and took pictures. "I can't see it at all. It should be smaller." There is a corner where you can show the production process of Edomae sushi, and the tools you use are also displayed, but if you just look at it, you will sigh. Maybe it's very difficult to convey this image if it's a photo, so please take a look at the venue.

2018 Ginza Swallow

[Sam] May 11, 2018 09:00

P5041040ELS' (2). jpgP5040983RS'G.jpg "Ginza Swallows" showed up again this year.

I came from Southeast Asia, which is said to be a wintering area, and is nesting at the eaves of Matsuya East Building, one of the nesting places in Ginza.

In recent years, the number of nesting locations in Ginza, which is said to have been nine locations 30 years ago, has dropped sharply.

Nevertheless, swallows come to Ginza and nesting activities are relatively blessed with street trees, which are the source of insects, and in addition to the natural environment such as the existence of the natural treasure trove of the Imperial Palace and the remaining waterside, it seems that the social environment of the gentle gaze of the residents who watch warmly is also thought to contribute.

I am grateful to show you every year, but I am impressed by the dedicated childcare and gestures shown by the parent bird in a severe living environment.

Lunch at Lion Ginza 7-chome store 2F

[Silver] May 10, 2018 14:00

After 14 o'clock on weekdays, the restaurant in Ginza has finished lunch, and it is time to develop spirit, take a break, and prepare for the evening for the reopening in the evening.

When I went to the shop I wanted at 6, 7, and 8, I was told, "I'm LO at 14 o'clock" or "I'm going to take a break." (This shop is going to take the next opportunity) and it seems that there are few restaurants that rotate from daytime to night.

In such a situation, I remembered the Lion Ginza 7-chome store.

From Monday to Friday on weekdays, the daily set meal includes a drink bar and a green salad bar, and ¥1,080 (including consumption tax).

Today's daily set meal was accompanied by fried beef roses, fried sardines & fillets & so-called (so-called) spaghetti Napolitan.

1525256056697.jpg

Of course, it comes with a drink bar and salad bar. You can enjoy lunch draft beer and lunch wine at an extra charge.

Finally, I felt comfortable and enjoyed a walk in the city of Ginza again.
