Walking in river’s edge in autumn with a dog (first half)

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] October 14, 2018 09:00

The season became better, and it was the best time for a walk.

In the morning, we took a walk along the red dashed line river’s edge on the map below with two dogs.

I walked counterclockwise from A to B, C ...

In the first half, we will introduce A to D.

Area A

At the base of Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge, the remnant of Tsukuda-no-Hari, which remains on the Minato side, is the site of the Tsukuda Island Ferry Terminal.

tukuda201801.JPG

Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge is a bridge with a simple design that was built in 1964 instead of Tsukuda's ferry.

tukuda201802.JPG

I remember hearing or reading that 1964 was a simple design in time for the last Tokyo Olympics, but it's a bit vague.

The high-rise apartments over Tsukuda Island seen from the sidewalk on the north side seem to see Tokyo and Edo together, and it is a favorite view.

tukuda201811.JPG

Area B

Tsukuda Island was built in 1644 by a fisherman who entered Edo from Tsukuda-mura, Nishinari-gun, Settsu-kuni, reclaimed the mouth of the Sumida River.

It is said that the origin of Tsukudani was that fishermen on Tsukuda Island boiled small fish and shellfish with salt and soy sauce for their preservation food.

The remnants of "Tsukuda's ferry" are the ruins of Tsukuda Island ferryboat (Tsukuda side).

tukuda201804.JPG

Next to this monument, there is also stone monument of Hideji Hojo, a playwright who loved Tsukuda Island.

"If it snows, Tsukuda is an old island of Edo."

tukuda201805.JPG

Tsukuda Kobashi, a monument of Tsukuda Island

It spans the Tsukuda River tributary, and the vermilion balustrade is impressive.

tukuda201806.JPG

Area C

It is the site of Ishikawajima Lighthouse

tukuda201807.JPG

The beginning of the Ishikawajima Lighthouse was a nightlight built in 1866 by Ishikawajima Hitoshishoroba magistrate for ships sailing on the Sumida River by human feet.

The Ishikawajimajin Ashojo was made by that "Kihei" Heizo Hasegawa proposed to Sadanobu Matsudaira.

This area is the site of the former Ishikawajima Harima Heavy Industries, where ultra-high-rise apartments stand in the forest.

tukuda201808.JPG

The water bus "Hotaluna" went up the Sumida River.

This is the design of Reiji Matsumoto.

Indeed, a spacecraft on the water

tukuda201813.jpg

Area D

Chuo-ohashi Bridge is a diagonal bridge that was built over the Sumida River in 1994.

tukuda201809.JPG

The walk in river’s edge feels good because of the wind.

The 13th Antenna Shop stamp rally in Chuo-ku until October 23

[Silver] October 11, 2018 14:00

The 13th antenna shop stamp rally in Chuo-ku started on October 4th. stamp rally mounts are available at each antenna shop. There are 25 participating stores in each prefecture this year.

If you get stamps from 17 different stores from all 25 stores, you can apply for this booklet with a postcard that fits in. Those who collect stamps from all 25 stores will be automatically entered in the "Complete Award" assortment of prizes provided by all W Chance stores.

Read the explanation on the stamp rally antenna shop guide and make the most of the use of coupons and coupon benefits.

"For the first 200 people, ..." can only be received as soon as possible during the event. "For the first 20 people every day ..." It must arrive early in the store opening. Today, it was a start from noon, so I visited a shop called "For the first 200 people ..." and the shops around it.

Thank you very much for a shop called "5% discount from shopping price". Don't panic, let's use it within the period.

This time, we are also thinking of exploring sweets in each prefecture.

For example, at one of the shops I visited today, "Food Kuni Fukuikan", I purchased it because Hafuju mochi is popular.

A little New York Times - a town walk with a public bath―

[Ino-chan] 12:00 on October 8, 2018

NYT.jpg

October 10 is the day of the public bath.

You can easily find the official website of the Tokyo Bath Association just by searching for "1010".

_DSC1368.jpg

On October 7, a "Sento Certification" was also conducted.

This test was once performed around November 26 (a good bath day).

It's a little trivia.

There are currently 9 public baths in Chuo Ward.

In this correspondent blog, sometimes the topic of public baths appears.

_DSC1377.jpg

As a bath lover, I went around more than 100 public baths in Tokyo alone.

It is a real pleasure to enjoy the feeling of traveling while staying in Tokyo in combination with walking around the town.

Some of the public baths are no longer available, and the modern building on the site is built.

I don't feel lonely when I look at it, but it's created by the city with the times.

Evidence that has changed. It's a nostalgic memory now.

By the way, those who have taken the "Sento Test" have just waited for the results, but

We have just started applying for the Chuo-ku Tourism Test this month.

Autumn deepens and the holiday weather continues.

Take the "Chuo-ku Monoshiri Encyclopedia" in one hand and walk around the town and go to Onsen tour.

Please go out.

A relaxing space

[Silver Fox 007] September 29, 2018 18:00

If you go to the ground from Exit A2 of Hatchobori Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line or JR Keiyo Line, you will find Sakuragawa Park.

Autumn leaves at Sakuragawa Rooftop Park. jpegPassing through this park with Shin-ohashi-dori St., you will find the Chuo Ward Women's Center "Bouquet 21". There is a staircase on the right side of the entrance, and it is written as Sakuragawa Rooftop Park. Sakuragawa Park often passes, but I've never been to the rooftop park, so I explored it.

I was surprised to climb the stairs out of breath, saying it was tight!

The surrounding building looks like Fukayama, and even the sound of the building's scream and the dokan sound of the building, and where is the maple that began to change color with the babbling flowing through the garden? It's a great feeling!

Various types of trees have name tags, and persimmons and pomegranates are also fruitful. There are many benches in the shade of trees, and lunchtime will be a great place for nearby office workers to relax. Like Chuo-ku, where the number of births is increasing year by year, there are playground equipment for children, and when the weather is nice, it will be crowded with little children.

View the Kamejima River from Sakuragawa Rooftop Park. jpegAs you pass under the trees, you will open the space and gateball field. There was a path along the side, so when I traced it, the Kamejima River jumped into my eyes. On the right, you can see the railway bridge of Minami Takahashi (reused part of the former Ryogoku Bridge of the bridge in 1904), and it is strangely impressive. Takahashi on the left and the moored boat reminds me that the city of Edo was a city of water transport. This path is a slope that can be reached on Gunshu Street.

Below the garden is the Sakurabashi No. 2 Pumping Station of the Tokyo Metropolitan Sewerage Bureau, which plays a role in protecting the city from flooding.

It was an autumn afternoon when I found an unexpected relaxing space.

Seafood Izakaya (Uoyu) at the base of Kameshima Bridge

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] September 28, 2018 18:00

uoto201805.JPG

At Hatchobori 2-chome, the back of the shop is Uoyu, a seafood izakaya facing the Kamejima River.

uoto201806.JPG

Located at the base of Kameshima Bridge (this is the side facing the river)

uoto201809.JPG

It is an izakaya with a wonderful lineup of liquor that claims to be a "fish and locally brewed sake" shop, but the lunch menu is also substantial and we use it.

uoto201803.JPG

In today's daily menu, I ordered the recommended "Sanma salt grilled and sashimi set meal"

uoto201802.JPG

Sashimi is hachibiki (red mackerel) and kurodai, fresh and delicious.

In particular, Hachibiki was tasty with moderate fat.

uoto201804.JPG

Thanks to the news of bountiful catch this year, Sanma salt grilled is a seasonal taste that you want to taste many times during this season.

uoto201808.JPG

After the meal, I think you can take a walk around Hatchobori and Shinkawa while watching "Ginza's Yanagi Shisei" and "Matsuo Basho's stone monument" at the base of Kameshima Bridge.
