Hiroshige on holidays Tsukuda Island

[Kaishu] 10:40 on June 11, 2009

The highest peak of landscape paintings is Hiroshige Utagawa, a ukiyo-e artist from the late Edo period, depicting the masterpiece "53rd Tokaido".
His gentle style of painting softens the mind of what he sees.

More than 150 years after his death.
On a peaceful Sunday of June, today's Hiroshige appears here on Tsukuda Island.
Tsukuda Kobashi, Funadamari, Tsukuda Park.
This downtown atmosphere will touch the koto line of Sunday painters. I'm talking quietly with my favorite drawing book with the touch I want.

When I saw Hiroshige on Tsukuda Island carrying brushes for a day in the sun, this space was separated from the other hustle and bustle, and it was as if time was flowing so slowly.
The surrounding area has completely changed in a group of high-rise apartments,
This area, which retains the remnants of Showa and invites nostalgia, seems to capture the hearts of landscape painters on holidays and do not release them.

Gourmet and Walking Course 1 Nihonbashi

[Map★] 09:00 on June 11, 2009

Today, I went to "Taimeiken" which I wanted to go before.
Taimeiken is a Western restaurant founded in 1931 and is located near Coredo.
There are 1st and 2nd floors, so it seems that the fee system is different.

Today's look for "Western dish lunch" on the 2nd floor is 3,000 yen.
It was a perfect lunch for me who likes to eat a lot of things little by little.
Today's three main dishes are
Beef tongue stew hot ball attachment, shrimp cream croquette, special roast beef

By the way, there was also a "Kite Museum" in the building of Taimeiken.

I got full, so I decided to walk to Tokyo Station after a walk.
First, while looking at the Nihonbashi plate, go to the choledo Annex.
I went to see the monument of Shirakiya Meisui, which was listed in the text of the sightseeing certification.

Next is to Nihonbashi Takashimaya.
On the way, I thought that there was a shop with a very atmosphere, and it was Yamamotoyama's main store.
Next time, let's make a set of Sencha and Ningyo-yaki in the coffee room here.

Today we have a tea time at Fauchon Salon de Te on the 8th floor of Takashimaya.
I happened to be able to sit in the back of the room.
It's not divided, but it looks like a special room.

Here, the age group of customers is high, and the staff service is good,
It was a good salon where you can calm down and drink tea.

I walked a little and dessert was different (laughs)
Recommended orange iced tea and ecrail chocolate were delicious!

From there, there is Maruzen, until you go to Yaesu Street,
Behind it is also a plaza building with antenna shops in Yamanashi and Yamaguchi prefectures.

On the left side of Yaesu Street is Bridgestone's fine headquarters.
There is also a museum, so I would like to go when I have time.

And as soon as you enter Yaesu Street, you will see Peace Bell.
It is in the median strip.

It is said that Chuo-ku declared a peaceful city and was built to commemorate its first anniversary.
It is a Dutch bell.
I've never met where the sound is sounding,
It sounds like this.

The sound of the bell of peace (Song of Chuo-ku (My Town))

There are also antenna shops in Kyoto and Hokkaido in front of Tokyo Station.

How about a walk in Nihonbashi and a gourmet course?

Davaindia

[GARI] 09:00 on June 11, 2009

It is an Indian restaurant that has a shop around Ginza Kyobashi.

This is rather South Indian cuisine, and the picture is a set of Meals.

On top of large banana leaves, indica rice (free change) is thick,

You can mix and eat this and various kinds of curry as you like.

Japanese people are not familiar with it, but it is delicious to eat by hand like authentic India.

It seems that it is a good way of eating that is only used up to the second joint of the finger.

If you are not used to it, why not ask the clerk how to eat it?

"Town" Monogatari: Hakozaki-cho, now and now, Part 1

[Atsukyo Kotobuki] 09:00 on June 11, 2009

Born and raised in Kakigara-cho, it was in 1997 that I folded the house of Kakigara-cho 2-chome, which I used to living for many years, and decided the last house in Hakozakicho apartment.

In less than 10 years, Hakozaki-cho has undergone a major transformation again, and it was an island called "permanent island" until about 40 years ago. Isn't it?

One of the most noticeable things during this period is that the number of baby faces and strollers has increased dramatically throughout the town.

Ten years ago, I didn't see much baby's face in my apartment, but now it's a birth boom.

According to what I heard, the population growth rate in Chuo-ku, especially in the Nihonbashi area, is the highest level in Japan, and is it a truly encouraging data since the declining birthrate is said to be.

Macarons' heavyweight: Mr. Elleme came to Japan (additional to Mapi ★'s article)

[Satsuki Yanagi] 09:00 on June 11, 2009

At the end of May. ★You wrote an article about “MACARONS.”happy01

Just the other day, Pierre Herme of "PIERRE HERME PARIS", who ranked second, came to Japan for about five days to announce a new product to be released in June and a recipe book for "MACARONS", which will be released in Japanese.

pierre herme anvi 2.jpgI'm sorry, I participated in the party, so I would like to introduce it to everyone who sees the blog.

This new work featured "Macaron Anvi" which was newly added to the "Amvi" series of Cassis (black storied) and Violet (Smire), and the most luxurious plate chocolate cake "Egjube Lunt".

pierre herme envi 3.jpg

By the way, it is an addition to macaron ... There are various types of macaron depending on the region of France, but now the most popular in Japan is officially called "Macaron de Paris".

This Macaron de Paris has heard that the younger brother of the founder of Laduret started with Macaron, which was originally one of cookies, saying, "If you put Ganash (chocolate cream) in between ...flair" (There seems to be various theories ...despair).

Elleme (who then came to Fauchon) was selected as Chef de Patissier and Vice President for Radule, and then produced a number of novel and delicious masterpieces such as "Ispahan" using macaron, rose, lyche, and fran Boise, and attracted attention from all over the world as "the master of the patisserie world".shine

In other words, Macaron of "Radule" and "Pierre Herme Paris" were brothers!

By the way, when you look at the showcases of both "Ladure" and "PIERRE HERME PARIS" under Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi's depachi, cakes with the same face are lined up (both are very delicious!)gemini

When I talked to Elleme about this pencilcorrespondent blog of the Chuo-ku Tourism Association, I was very pleased, and I was happy to help you publish the photos, MERCI Muscheohappy02
