Last time (1st), I took up Reigishima Island, a historical place name, but this time, I would like to introduce a bridge that no longer exists has become an intersection name.
Chuo-ku is still present.
It is the first water surface rate in the ward of Tokyo, and can be called
the city of water. In the past, most districts were areas surrounded by moats and rivers. Not only those who knew immediately after the war, but until just before the Tokyo Olympics, here and there were watersides. A bridge was built there, people and cars were coming and going. After that, there are still several bridges that have been transformed into the Metropolitan Expressway Michigami, but the bridge over the reclaimed river has disappeared.
But that's all! The name of the bridge of history remains. Sukiya Bridge, Kaji Bridge, Gofuku Bridge, etc., which everyone knows, are important points of transportation and are the names of intersections.
Then, where
is the intersection with the name of the bridge in the photo?
Of course, all installation locations
It is not a bridge over the expressway in Chuo-ku. It may be a good idea to check the origin of these bridges.
(1) Horai Bridge ("Rai" is another character in different characters), (2) Kurakake Bridge, (3) Tsuchihashi, (4) Yuuraku Bridge

*By the way, do you know the traffic sign on the right end of Tsuchihashi? I miss the mark of the Daihachi car in this era. Why is it located at this intersection? This sign is "Closed Light Vehicles Other than Bicycles". *All photos were taken in May 2009.

For those who have never seen the real thing yet.
"Ginza's representative landmark, a nationally registered cultural property in Showa.
It’s worth a look.”

Those who are bored.
“I’ll see you in less than a year.”
The Kabuki Hall of Fame, the Kabuki Theater, will close in about 11 months, and dismantling and renovation work will begin.
In this building, the famous actors of Showa and Heisei were applauded in flower paths and turned over and attracted the audience.
With this rebuilding, the design is new, and the appearance seems to be simple and innovative design, with a view to the advanced use of the surrounding area.
Many fans who have been accustomed to removing the prestigious appearance of the Momoyama style, characterized by a gable roof, are regretting the removal of the prestigious appearance.
However, the city always demands a building suitable for that era. And with that energy, the city will continue to regenerate into the future.
Kabukiza as a building has fulfilled its mission.
Let's leave the future development of this area to the new theater.
A year later, when I visited here again, the building was covered with a soundproof board for demolition.
You won't show me that way.
Press and hold the shutter.

I was walking around Tsukiji Market and found a banner, so I went to Namiki Inari Shrine and put a handbill for guidance! It looks interesting.
Recently, the outside of Tsukiji Market has become a restaurant, and even on Sunday there is no problem with lunch place, and there are many delicious shops.
