Walk through the ward 2 outer moat River

[Shiraji] Nov. 13, 2015 09:00

Since the reclaimed alley of the Ryuka River is the ward boundary between Chiyoda-ku and Chuo-ku, this time we will walk along the Sotobori-dori St. from the estuary where the Ryuka River connects to Nihonbashi.
There is no road along the Nihonbashi River to Tokiwa Bridge, even though it is not well-maintained along the river, so you will walk along Sotobori-dori St.

 Tokiwa Bridge. JPG

After Tokiwa Bridge, the Nihonbashi River turns greatly to the left, and the ward border with Chiyoda-ku crosses Ichiishi Bridge to become the former Soto Horikawa.

Originally, it is natural to have Chiyoda-ku on the west side of Sotobori-dori St. and Chuo-ku on the east side. However, the outer moat River used to be located on the west side of Sotobori-dori St., along the Sotobori-dori St., and since the center line is the ward, a part of the west side of Sotobori-dori St. (part facing Sotobori-dori St.) is in Chuo-ku.

In fact, at the Daiichi No. 2 Steel Building (currently under construction) to the north of Tokyo Station, the ward world passes through the building, and it seems that Yaesu 1-chome 10th and 11th blocks are set.
The address of the steel building is Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, but strictly speaking, the entrance along Sotobori-dori St. is Haz in Chuo-ku.

There are several buildings built on the reclaimed land of the outer moat River from Ichiishibashi to Kajibashi, but there is no indication of the address of the building at all along Sotobori-dori St. Is there any hesitation or hesitation in displaying this as Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku in the part of Chuo-ku?

This can be seen by passing the blacksmith bridge and eventually the highway appears on the ground.

The "Tokyo Kosoku Doro" building is built on the reclaimed Soto Horikawa, where the top is used as a road and the bottom is used for shopping, and the road is hidden underground from the Kaji Bridge and invisible.

Ginza inz.JPG In other words, the buildings with shopping malls such as "GINZA INZ 123", "NISI GINZA" and "GINZA 5" were built on the ward of Soto Horikawa, and are now an extra area without an address.
However, there is no resident registration in this area and there is no problem such as resident tax paid to the ward, and there is no problem even if you do not specify an address because it is only a business establishment.

By the way, the fire department and the police have jurisdiction for each commercial facility. In the case of "NISHI GINZA", the fire department is Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, and the police are under the jurisdiction of Tsukiji, Chuo-ku.
In addition, mail arrives at the convenience address "4-1 Ginza, Chuo-ku" for postal mail.
"GINZA INZ" is "2-2 Ginza west, Chuo-ku" (currently there is no indication of Ginza west.)
"GINZA 9" is "8-10 Ginza, Chuo-ku", and Ginza may be attractive even though it is a convenience address.

In the past, "GINZA INZ" was a restaurant and food sales area under the name of "Yuraku Food Center", but at this time Frank Nagai's "Let's meet in Yurakucho" became a big hit, so at that time, Yurakucho had more brand power than Ginza?

"NISHI GINZA", famous for the Treasure Lottery Chance Center, deals with the latest trend of clothing under the name "Nishiginza Department", and "GINZA5" deals with items such as fashionable accessories under the name "Sukiyabashi Shopping Center", and these shopping malls were such a kind of thing that could be said to be pioneer in Japan.

 Lottery Chance Center. JPG

Since these shopping malls are located on the reclaimed land of the outer moat River, will the ward boundaries between Chuo-ku and Chiyoda-ku be the center passage of these malls? Ins Shopping Mall. JPG
After passing through "GINZA5" and crossing Miyuki Street, the shopping mall ends and becomes "Ginza Corridor Street" lined with restaurants.

Corridor. JPG
Eventually, at the police box in Tsuchihashi, the expressway turns to the left and becomes "GINZA9".

Ginza 9.JPG
In the past, Soto Horikawa became the Shiodome River and was reclaimed, and "GINZA9" became the ward boundary with Minato-ku.

"Ginza 9-chome Mizukami" sung by a singer named Ichiro Kanbe in the 1980s became a big hit, but "GINZA9" was not given from there, and was initially named "Shimbashi Center". After all, it was attached because Shimbashi Station is close.
In fact, it seems that there were many small izakayas that served as hangouts for office workers in Shimbashi.
At present, there are many shops dealing with dresses of luxury bar moms and hostess in Ginza.

"GINZA9" also ends on Showa-dori, and the elevated capital city that passes through Kaigan-dori and above becomes a ward border with Minato-ku along the Hamarikyu Garden, and from Shiodome River to Tokyo Bay, Harumi Canal from Harumi Wharf to Toyosu, Koto-ku It becomes the ward boundary with. 。

Izakaya Let's go for lunch

[CAM] Nov. 12, 2015 18:00

(Although it may be a little off the subject of the blog.)

I was informed of the correspondent exchange off party.

The venue is a certain izakaya in Ginza, but the date and time are Saturday afternoon.

As an old man who has become obsolete with the recent world situation, I thought "?"

However, in today's Nikkei Shimbun, I found the following article and was convinced.

>Izakaya, let's go at lunch-Enjoy seniors and parents (trend search)

November 10, 2015 Nihon Keizai Shimbun morning edition, page 15, 782 characters

・・... "Kanpai!" On the afternoon of a national holiday, voices resonated at the izakaya "Kita no Ajiyuki and locally brewed sake Hokkaido Ebisu Garden Place Store" in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. It's a banquet with 25 circle friends from school days. Baby strollers are lined up beside the seats, and children drink juice with adults. A 41-year-old man said, "It's hard to have children come to a banquet at night. However, there are few places to accept this number, and I found it," he said.
Each Hokkaido store has a "day feast" menu from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm The all-you-can-drink menu of 1200 yen for 2 hours is usually free. "I want to take in the demand for seniors and lunch banquets" (operated by Coloydes) ...

Keiko Miura is said to be a glass artist who developed a unique technique called "Roch Rail", which cuts thick glass like a sculpture with a hammer and combines it with epoxy resin.

miur14.JPG

"Roch Rail" means "shining rock of light".

In the work, the texture of the thick glass is impressive, and the pattern of the broken cross section of the glass is very beautiful and solid when viewed through light.

miur15.JPG

Miura's works are also installed in domestic and international buildings such as the Tokyo National Museum and Roppongi Hills Mori Tower.

miur16.JPG

Admission is free.

Thank you for your understanding regarding the photographing of the exhibits.

BS11 "Unravel the mystery with an old map! "Nippon Inquiry"

[CAM] Nov. 12, 2015 14:00

It's a TV channel    I've never seen before, but "BS11" "Unravel mysteries with old maps!" I noticed a program called "The origin of the commercial city Tokyo drawn by Ieyasu ... Matsuya Onoe explores Nihonbashi every Tuesday night from 8:00 to 8:54) and saw it (November 10).

Since it was a program of less than an hour, it was not so deep, but it was a useful program that was explained plainly with images while citing old maps.

"Exploring the land based on old maps of each city is a bit different from ordinary history exploration programs. We compare the map different from each age with the current actual location, and unravel the history while imagining changes. "

Today (November 10), the relationship between Nihonbashi Riverside and Ieyasu Tokugawa, and the origin of Tsukuda Island was explained as a connection, and as a long-established store in Nihonbashi, "Benmatsu", "Ibasen", "Ozuya (Ozu Washi) "and so on.

The next theme is "Tsukiji, a town that has built history with the times."

"Kyobashi Hill" matures! Tokyo Square Garden

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] November 12, 2015 12:00

Two years ago, in the spring of Kyobashi 3-chome, Tokyo Square Garden, 24 floors above ground and 4 floors below ground, was completed.

kyooka11.JPG

At the time of construction, it was spotlighted as a large complex building that contributed to the cool-down of the city center and the formation of the "wind path" from Tokyo Bay to the Imperial Palace.

kyooka12.JPG

From that time on, I thought it was a building full of "green"

kyooka13.JPG

Two years have passed since then, I feel that the "green" has matured more and more.

kyooka14.JPG

In the low-rise area from the first basement floor to the fifth floor above the ground, the hills with plantings of about 3,000 m2 are overflowing with the "green" of "Kyobashi Hill".

kyooka15.JPG

It's hard to say "formation of a comfortable urban environment", but if there is a lot of "green", it's definitely pleasant.

◆ The splendid hospitality of the owner of "India Curry Nakaei" in Tsukiji grounds

[Sumida Fireworks] Nov. 12, 2015 09:00

Tsukiji Market in the morning. It is a lively place where people and cargo come and go all the time.

Especially when you come to the market in Tsukiji, most of the people who jump in their eyes. This is a place where you can see something like the origin of human beings, "people work", and just looking at it will give you energy from the morning.

s_hanabi27-1.jpg(In the Tsukiji area seen from Umiyuki Hashikado)

Actually, since this spring, I get up once or twice a week and have breakfast at the market before going to work.

I have been a correspondent at the historical timing of the relocation of the in-house market to Toyosu New Market, but I hope that even one of the memories can be left in this place called Tsukiji Market There is also a feeling, so I decide to get up early.

I go to a curry shop called "Nakaei" in the market.

When you enter the shop, the shopkeeper is at the forefront of the U-shaped counter, always keeping the shop up.

s_hanabi27-2.jpgThe basic menu of Nakaei curry is three types (550 yen).

 ・Indian curry (dry)

 ・Beef curry (sweet)

 ・Hayashi rice (tomato flavor)

In addition, there is also a menu called "Gogake" (650 yen). It is a menu where you can choose two from the three basic types and serve it on one plate, and it is recommended for sightseeing and first-time people.

In addition, there are menus such as seafood curry and curry with roasted char siu.

s_hanabi27-3.jpg(The match between Indian curry and Hayashi rice. 650 yen)

What's surprising at this shop is that it's very early from ordering curry to coming out!

A few tens of seconds after sitting, the curry is right in front of you. I think there are times when it doesn't take ten seconds.

One of the secrets of speed is that the shopkeeper remembers quite a few regular faces and their orders. There are regulars who come out curry without ordering.

I went to this shop several times, and I noticed it, but I wanted to try out how long I could go to be like this regular.

So when we entered September, we decided to fix the order to "Indian curry and fried egg".

After that, I continued to go there once or twice a week.

s_hanabi27-4.jpgIt was long from here.

I often order "Indian curry and fried egg" by myself.

Will the day when you don't say "Indian curry and fried egg" come? Will it be in time for the date of the move to the new market?  ・・ ・ ・ I feel anxious.

When we approached the end of October, when we entered the store, the shopkeeper said, "When is it?" Oh~ I was happy. Do you mean I have been certified as a regular? It was the 8th morning after "Indian curry and fried egg".

It seems that the curry shop in Nakaei was founded in the first year of Taisho (1912). Before moving to Tsukiji, the fish market was located on a bridge called Nihonbashi in Chuo-ku, but it was a long-established curry shop that had been around since then.

Many of the customers who enter the shop work in the market, but since they are often in a hurry at work, the speed at which this curry is served is one of the "hospitality" created by the place called the market It may be.

s_hanabi27-5.jpg(Tsukiji fish riverbank seafood curry. 1,000 yen)

What I like about this shop is that this shopkeeper's "hospitality" is really wonderful, or it is splendid without waste, and makes you feel comfortable from the morning.

Attention to each customer is done as a matter of course, but the conversation between the customer and the owner is really pleasant. I feel like a pleasant music that I hear in the morning.

It seems that this shopkeeper is the fourth generation since the company was founded. It seems that there are many regulars who come to the store to look forward to talking with this shopkeeper.

Well, the main "India curry" of Nakaei curry.

Spiciness does not mean super spicy, but moderate spicyness. It may be classified as a fast-food restaurant, but I think the taste is a reasonable talented person, but I think it is a taste that feels a little nostalgic.

s_hanabi27-6.jpg(Indian curry and fried egg. 550 yen + 100 yen)

As you can see, it is characterized by the fact that cabbage is poured on the rice, and the rice is quite voluminous.

Each person eats it, but how to eat cabbage, rice and curry is guided at the store, and I think it is the most delicious to eat it according to it. The crunchy feeling of cabbage is irresistible.

It has been less than one year until the date of the relocation of the Tsukiji Market to Toyosu New Market. Closed on November 2, next year. The next day is a closed day and will be relocated in 3 days from 4 to 6 days.

s_hanabi27-7.jpg(In the Tsukiji area seen from the water shrine)

Of course, this curry shop will also be relocated, but even if you ask the shopkeeper, it doesn't seem so urgent, but it feels crisp.

There will be various problems associated with relocation in the future, but we have to move forward. I was talking like that.

From now on, Tsukiji's "place" market will reach the end of the last year, but there are still days until it moves.

It's time to try an order other than "Indian curry and fried egg", but I hope that I will continue to go as much as possible so that good memories will be remembered by this time next year.
