Early Summer Walk in Early Summer

[HK] April 21, 2018 18:00

Take a walk in Tsukuda after a long time. If you look at Tsukuda Park from Tsukuda Kobashi area, there is a wonderful shadow race there. There is also a place in Chuo-ku where you can relax in nature.

While walking around Tsukuda area, found a nice lace shadow by looking at Tsukuda Park from Tsukuda-kobashi bridge direction.
There are places in Chuo-ward that people can feel the nature and relax.

Azusa Shibata Exhibition - Nonokami - [REIJINSHA GALLERY]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] April 21, 2018 14:00

nonokam201801.JPG

Azusa Shibata's first solo exhibition "Azusa Shibata - Nonokami -" is being held at the gallery "REIJINSHA GALLERY" on the first basement floor of the Mitsuwa Building in Ginza 6-chome.

nonokam201800.jpg

The first floor of the Mitsuwa Building is "Miwa of Jewelry".

nonokam201802.JPG

The event will be held from Friday, April 13 to April 27 (Fri).

nonokam201803.JPG

Please note that the time is from 12:00 to 19:00, but the last day is until 17:00.

We're closed on Sunday and Monday.

nonokam201804.JPG

It seems that Azusa Shibata's consistent theme has been "wolf" since his college days.

nonokam201805.JPG

The work is painted with dried water paint and rock paint on Japanese paper, and foil is also used.

nonokam201806.JPG

If you look up close, the wolf's hair is drawn in detail, the foil is effectively used, and it is a work that makes you feel divine.

nonokam201807.JPG

When I saw a white and divine wolf, I remembered "Moro no Kimi (a large white hundreds of years old dog god with two tails)" that appeared in the feature-length animated movie "Princess Mononoke" directed by Hayao Miyazaki.

I remembered the voice of Mr. Akihiro Miwa, the role of Moro's role.

nonokam201808.JPG

I had a relaxing time in a quiet and calm gallery that I couldn't imagine just entering one from the main street of Ginza.

Thank you for your understanding of the photography in the gallery.

Brand tableware ★Le Noble Ginza Store

[Mapo ★] April 21, 2018 09:00

At a tableware shop called Le Noble I happened to find on the net.
The Wedgwood plate is on sale.
If you were looking into where the shop was located
The main store is Kyoto, but there was a shop in Ginza!

I made a call right away and decided to go directly to buy it.
The online price is cheaper than the store.
You can buy it at the same price as the online sale price.

noble2.JPG

I asked you to reserve it, and I went there two days later.
I haven't been there very much recently.
Where lipton used to be
It seems that it opened 5 years ago.

They are not purchased from trading companies or distributors.
They are purchased directly from Western Europe.
The staff told me that I was confident in both quality and price.

I bought these three pieces!

There are also cute dishes and accessories just by looking at them.
It's a shop that you want to stop by again when you pass nearby.

If you are unsure about the gift, I'll check it out online.

[Night activity at Tsukiji] Standing practice of Nihonbashi Opera "Iris"

[Hanes] April 20, 2018 18:00

Hello! This is a new correspondent, Hanes.

The other day, I mentioned the morning activities that can be done in Chuo-ku.
Many people working in Chuo-ku say, "I'm fluttering in the morning, but I can get time at night!"
And for those who come to Tokyo for sightseeing, even after the cultural facilities are closed.
"I want to have a special experience unique to Chuo-ku!" Isn't there a lot of people who say, "I want to enjoy it at night!"

This time, we call it the first series of [Chuo-ku Night Activity Series].
We will introduce limited-time night activity information that can be done at Tsukiji for about one month from now on.

What is that night activity?...This is a tour of the standing practice of Nihonbashi Opera "Iris".
When it comes to opera, there is an image of a high threshold, but please be assured!
This practice is open to the public for free.

Open the door of the training room on the second floor of the Tsukiji Social Education Center, Chuo-ku, which is a rehearsal hall while pounding....

The members of Nihonbashi Opera were checking the swing.

Thumbnail image of IMG_7410.JPG

According to the commentary I received during the tour, the opera was performed.
①Music practice
②Standing training (directors give detailed explanations and guidance on how to move to each cast)
③Through training
It seems that there are three stages.
Even those who usually go to operas, plays, and concerts don't have much opportunity to see such a practice scene?

In the standing practice released this time, you can see the process of creating the work.
The thoughts and intentions contained in the movement, as well as the attention to the colors and materials of clothes and accessories.
You can learn through instruction from the director to the actor.

IMG_7403.JPG

It seems that there are some improvements that can be seen only by standing training.
You can realize that opera is not a script-like one, but a "creature" whose expression differs depending on the person and place of the performer.
Also, by looking at such a place, you should be able to enjoy more happily in the actual performance, saying, "That gesture at the time of standing training was finished like this."

And not only in the actual performance, but also in practice, the sound of the piano is wonderful.

IMG_7400.JPG

You can listen to the singing voice.

IMG_7406.JPG

There was also a conductor, singing the relevant part instead of the actor who was absent from the practice.

Thumbnail image of IMG_7401.JPG

This year's performance of Nihonbashi Opera, which is being created through such practice, is a performance of this year.
The opera "Iris" composed by Pietro Mascarni (Iris) = Ayame)

It is not as well known as Puccini's "Mrs. Chocho" set in Nagasaki.
Similarly, it was influenced by japonism, which became popular in Western Europe at the end of the 19th century.
The big difference from "Mrs. Chocho" is that it uses Japanese melody, while it uses Japanese melody.
"Iris" is all Italian melodies.
However, Japanese characters such as Osaka, Kyoto, Fujiyama, Seki Shimono, Musume, and Gaisha appear in the characters and lyrics.
Isn't that also the point you want to keep in mind during the theater?

The stage of this work is Edo, where Iris, a girl living with a blind father, is deceived and sold to Yoshiwara.
It's just 120 years since it premiered in Rome.
Former Yoshihara may be located in Nihonbashi Ningyocho today, and the performance will be decided at Nihonbashi, a land related to it.
This is an opera that I would like to appreciate in Chuo-ku in this memorable year.

Advance reservations are not required for standing lessons!
You can feel free to drop in.
Please refer to the Nihonbashi Opera website below for the date and time of public release.
http://www.music-tel.com/wargner/

Most recently, it is scheduled to be released at Tsukiji Social Education Center from 18:00 to 20:00 on April 23 (Mon), 25 (Wed), and May 1 (Tuesday).
It's a practice, but I forget the tiredness of work and look at it unintentionally.
It will be a night activity with a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction.
Whether you are a fan of opera or a beginner of opera, why not take this opportunity to experience the charm of opera set in Japan?

◆ Spring on the Asashio Canal, Sakura Kobashi and Waterside

[Sumida Fireworks] April 20, 2018 14:00

The refreshing season has come. The cherry blossoms in Tokyo are almost over, but I guess you probably enjoyed the spring when the cherry blossoms bloom on either side.

This year, there were many sunny days, so I was able to enjoy the cherry blossoms on the waterside calmly, including the Sumida River.

In Chuo-ku, there are many waterfronts that flow slowly between urban buildings. The cherry blossoms that bloom as if they blend into the waterside scenery seem to have something special that is slightly different from other cherry blossoms.

This spring, there was a waterside that I wanted to visit. It is a cherry blossom promenade in Harumi, Chuo-ku.

s_hanabi58-1.jpg

This "Sakura promenade" is a small path along the Asashio Canal, and cherry blossoms are in full bloom for hundreds of meters. And last fall, a new bridge was built over this morning tide canal. It is a pedestrian-only bridge, and its name is "Sakura Kobashi".

The scenery of cherry blossoms blooms on the waterside, and the cherry blossoms look like the scenery with the waterside.

It was a bridge with the word cherry blossoms, so if you cross it, I thought it would be good when the cherry blossoms bloom. Just having the cherry blossoms in the name of the bridge makes you feel a little peaceful.

One of the reasons for selecting the name of this bridge is the bridge leading to the cherry blossom promenade. The place where it was built is the junction with the Tsukishima River, which is known for its row of cherry trees. So, I think it became a very suitable name.

s_hanabi58-2.jpg

This bridge looks very stylish. The girder thickness is extremely thin and the bridge piers is wide, so the ship is easy to pass through and has a clean design. Also, the pale-colored tiles colored on the bridge girder give a very soft impression. I was able to feel the spring of the waterside at the spring bridge of the Asashio Canal.

s_hanabi58-3.jpg

This bridge connects Kachidoki and Harumi.

On the Harumi side is Triton Square, a large building. Many company workers cross the Asashio Canal, but recently more and more young people choose this place as a living city, and many children play.

There are still many young trees on the cherry blossom promenade, but by the time the children grew up here as their hometown and grew up, I think that the cherry blossoms on this promenade are also growing.

From the Kachidoki side, where the land is slightly lower, climb the stairs just before crossing. Since it is a pedestrian-only bridge, when you are cycling, get off and climb the bridge using a gentle slope. The width of the bridge is made wider at the entrance than in the middle, so it is a very easy-to-approach bridge. And as the surroundings become darker, it changes to a moist atmosphere.

s_hanabi58-4.jpg

The neighborhood is also a quiet residential area, so the bridge is a little modest impression that matches the atmosphere of this place without asserting itself. In particular, the Harumi area seen from the slope on the Kachidoki side has a very calm atmosphere, even though it is a futuristic landscape.

s_hanabi58-5.jpg

From now on, it will be a beautiful season of fresh greenery, but if you look for fresh greenery in the city, you will be able to find a relaxing landscape. And if it is a waterside landscape, it feels very refreshing.

There are many watersides in Chuo-ku. I hope you will continue to enjoy the spring of the waterside of Chuo-ku.

Hitotsubago flowering [Miyuki Street]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] April 20, 2018 12:00

The street tree on Miyuki Street, Hitotsubago, is beginning to bloom.

hitotu201801.JPG

As of April 17, only those near Showa-dori on Miyuki-dori are near full bloom, and both sides across Chuo-dori have not bloomed at all.

hitotu201802.JPG

It seems that there are quite a few individual differences in the flowering season.

hitotu201803.JPG

Hitotsubago is a deciduous Takagi of the genus Hitotsubago.

hitotu201804.JPG

It usually produces a conical inflorescence in May and blooms white small flowers.

It is characterized by its narrow petals that have been deeply split into four.

hitotu201805.JPG

When it is in full bloom, it looks like snow has piled up on the whole, and it is beautiful.

hitotu201806.JPG

By the way, "Nanja Monjanoki" is another name for Hitotsubago.

hitotu201810.JPG

There are few people who know that they grow naturally in a limited area, and even if they look at things planted in places other than their own fabric, no one knows the name of the tree and says "What kind of tree" It turned into "Nanja Monja".

There are other theories that seem to be unclear.

hitotu201807.JPG

When Nanjamon Janoki and dogwood begin to bloom, the mood from spring to early summer increases at once.
