Ginza Terrace in winter [Ginza Mitsukoshi]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] January 20, 2017 18:00

gintera01.JPG

On the 9th floor of Ginza Mitsukoshi, there is a terrace garden consisting of a lawn square and a planting space.

gintera02.JPG

Winter is a season with few flowers, but the Christmas rose still blooms well, making the planting space lively with leaf plants.

gintera03.JPG

On the same floor, Ginza Izumi guardian of children and travelers and Sankai Shrine Ginza Setsha are enshrined.

gintera05.JPG

In guardian of children and travelers, which is said to have been dug out from Sanjukenbori at the beginning of the Meiji era, Ginza Izumi Jizoson was moved to our office when Ginza Mitsukoshi was newly built in 1968.

Ginza Hideyo guardian of children and travelers is also one of the tours of Ginza Hatcho Shrine.

gintera06.JPG

It is said that Sankai Shrine Ginza auxiliary shrine was built in Kobo Daishi.

It is said that during the Fumikazu year, the white fox went around sacred object of worship three times during the reconstruction of shrine hall, and it was called "Miguri".

As the guardian deity of the Mitsui family, it is enshrined on the roof of the main branch in Mitsukoshi.

gintera07.JPG

Cold days continue, but it is pleasant to sit on the bench on the 9th floor terrace and bathe in the winter sun at noon when there is no wind.

"The World of Galle and Dome" [Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] January 20, 2017 14:00

At the gallery on the 7th floor of the new building of the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store, "Okada Art Museum Collection-Japonism West and Japan-World Exhibition of Glass Crafts and Domes" is being held.

galle311.JPG

This exhibition focuses on 'Japonism' when the glass works of Emir Galle and the Dome Brothers, which are treasured by the Okada Museum of Art in Hakone, are open to the public for the first time, and the museum is proud of art Nouveau crafts and the vast collection of Japanese art. "

galle012.JPG

When I actually see the works of Gare and the Dome brothers up close, I realize that the influence of Japonisme was so amazing.

There is no sense of discomfort even though Kiitsu Suzuki's folding screen, Katsushika Hokusai, Jakuchu Ito's kakejiku, Korin Makie, and Komari are on display next to the works of Galle and Dome Brothers.

galle313.JPG

Personally, I was impressed by the fineness of insects and snails placed on the surface of glass works.

galle315.JPG

In addition, the lighting at the venue also made the wonderfulness of the work even more prominent, and in particular, in the corner of the lamp, I was healed by the light emitted from the work.

It's an exhibition that I want to see slowly and slowly.

galle006.JPG

The event will be held until January 23 (Monday).

The birthplace of peace sign and fingerprint research

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] January 19, 2017 18:00

"If you just sign the piece casually on the camera, your fingerprints will come out." Professor Isao Echizen of the National Institute of Informatics, who developed the technology to prevent fingerprints, sounded the alarm bell.

Posting photos taken with faces and hands together on the net may identify individuals and fingerprints.

(Omitted)

An experiment conducted by the National Institute of Informatics found that images taken at a distance of 3 meters can be read, and if a piece photo of "selfie" is posted on the net, it will be easily stolen ... (Sankei News)

Surprisingly, I was surprised that the study that fingerprints could be used to identify individuals in the first place reminded me that Chuo-ku originated.

simon002.JPG

In Akashicho, there is a monument to the birthplace of fingerprint research.

simon003.JPG

This is the site where Henry Falls, a British man who was originally a foreign settlement and was a missionary and doctor, lived. It is said that he lived from Meiji 7 (1874) to Meiji 19 (1886).

simon001.JPG

Falls was interested in fingerprinting habits in Japan and has attracted a lot of interest by announcing that fingerprints can identify individuals.

He classified fingerprints into five basic patterns, such as bow-shaped crests, hoof-shaped crests, and spiral crests, and later used for criminal investigations.

In the future, will this report trigger a photography pose that is not a peace sign?

Bridge over Shinkawa [Nihonbashi River / Sumida River]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] January 18, 2017 18:00

The Shinkawa area is surrounded by the Sumida River, Nihonbashi River and Kamejima River.

sink000.jpg

In the Shinkawa area, there are two bridges on the Nihonbashi River (F)(G) and two bridges on the Sumida River (H)(I).

sink010.JPG

It is Minato Bridge (F) on the Nihonbashi River.

It is said that the bridge was first built here in Yanbao 7 (1679), and at that time, this area hit the entrance of Edo Minato, so this name was given.

sink020.JPG

A relief of a sailing boat is attached to the upper part of the bridge pier.

sink030.JPG

Toyomi Bridge (G)

This bridge spans the mouth of the Nihonbashi River pours into the Sumida River, and has a distinctive design that looks like a ladder lying.

sink040.JPG

From Eitai Bridge to Toyomi Bridge

In the foreground are the Tokyo Cruises ship "Himiko" and the water bus designed by Reiji Matsumoto, a master of the manga and anime world.

sink050.JPG

The Eitai Bridge (H) over the Sumida River.

The first bridge was built in Genroku 11 (1698), to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 5th Shogun Tsunayoshi Tokugawa.

The bridge at that time was stretched about 150m upstream than its current location.

sink060.JPG

Modeled on the Rudendorf railway bridge over Rhine, Germany, it is the oldest existing tie arch bridge and the first bridge in Japan with a diameter of over 100m.

In 2007, Eitai Bridge was designated as a National Important Cultural Property (Building) for the first time as a prefectural road bridge along with Kachidokibashi and Kiyosubashi.

sink070.JPG

It's Chuo-ohashi Bridge (I).

The other side of the bridge is Tsukuda Tower Condominiums.

sink080.JPG

Completion was completed in 1994.

The photo below shows the Eitai Bridge from Chuo-ohashi Bridge and the Tokyo Sky Tree view.

sink090.JPG

The Sumida River and the Seine of France are friendly rivers, and when we crossed the Chuo-ohashi Bridge, we asked a French design company to design it.

sink110.JPG

In the upper part of the central pier on the upstream side, there is a statue of "Messenger" by sculptor Oship Sackin, who was then the mayor of Paris, to Tokyo as a sign of friendship.

Bridge over Shinkawa [Kamejima River]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] January 17, 2017 09:00

The Shinkawa area is surrounded by the Sumida River, Nihonbashi River and Kamejima River.

kamej11.jpg

The Kamejima River is covered by five bridges ((A) to (E)).

kamej01.JPG

First, the first on the Kamejima River, which branches off from the Nihonbashi River, is Reigishi Bridge (A).

This bridge is located on Eitai-dori St.

kamej02.JPG

At the junction of the Nihonbashi River and the Kamejima River, there is the Nihonbashi Suimon, which can be seen up close from the Reigishi Bridge.

kamej03.JPG

Next, Shin-Kameshima Bridge (B) stretches over the Kamejima River.

kamej04.JPG

This is Kameshima Bridge (C).

The Kamejima River turns almost right at right angles to the Sumida River.

At the foot of the Hatchobori side of this bridge, there is a monument to Takeyuki Horibe, famous for the swords of Takadanobaba and the defeat of Kira's house by Nanji Akaho.

kamej05.JPG

"Ginza's Yanagi Shisei" is also planted across the road on the same side.

kamej06.JPG

Takahashi (D)

It is a bridge on Kajibashi Street that enters Shinkawa from Hatchobori.

kamej07.JPG

This is the view of Minami Takahashi seen from Takahashi.

Beyond Minami Takahashi, you can see the tower apartments in Tsukuda.

kamej08.JPG

My name is Minami Takahashi (E).

Part of the former Ryogoku Bridge is reused in the main body of the characteristic bridge.

kamej09.JPG

Tokufune Inari Shrine is enshrined at the foot of the new river side of this bridge, and there is an explanation board of the auspiciousness.

The Kamejima River joins the Sumida River after passing through this bridge.
