Bunkyu founded! Chestnut steamed yokan once a year at Nihonbashi Kiyokazuken

[Shiba Inu] October 13, 2018 18:00

Kiyokazuken, a long-established Japanese confectionery shop located in Nihonbashi Horidome-cho. Founded in 1861, Takasugi Shinsaku and Sakamoto Ryoma ran around in the middle of late Tokugawa shogunate!

Dorayaki and chestnut buns are very popular. It is also a sight of every morning that a line in suits is formed to purchase as a souvenir for business partners. How delicious is it? Speaking of which, I think it fits with the "most delicious dorayaki taste" that you think of!

Kiyokazuken sells it once a year around the day of physical education.

Chestnut steamed yokan.

The reason for once a year is that all the processes are handmade by two craftsmen, so only a small amount can be made with a complete reservation. Reservations begin around September.

And this chestnut steamed yokan is here!

The density of the sauce is thick, but the mouth is smooth and the chestnuts are fluffy.

Because it is soft, if you do not handle it carefully, the shape will collapse.

This is "Kurimushi Yokan"...I'm going to eat it silently. If you like sweet food, please try it by all means....!! You can have time to think about the coming autumn while drinking tea slowly.

It's two days, October nineteenth and twentyth. It is a lively city festival that even those who are not interested in pickling can enjoy very much. By making good use of the narrow alleys running vertically and horizontally, the sun goes down and creates a mysterious sight.

It's like a medium toro! Recommended Tsukiji Sweets @ Tsukiji Sanokiya

[Hanes] September 25, 2018 09:00

Hello. This is a new correspondent, Hanes.
Due to the fall of appetite, there have been more opportunities to go to work after buying Chuo-ku gourmet (laughs).

The other day, when I went to see the Tsukiji market in the morning, I purchased it on the way back.
Asunaro, a senior correspondent who was with me on the radio recording, was also introduced.
Tsukiji Sanokiya's tunayaki

Sanokiya-1.jpg

Currently, the following two types of tuna oysters are on sale.
・The crispy fabric + Kokura Ann's "hon tuna"
・Mochimochi fabric + apricot + Kokura Ann's "Nakatoro"

I chose "Nakatoro" with apricot and Kokura Ann in the mochi mochi dough!
I was able to see the process of making it from the storefront.

Sanokiya-2.jpg

I ordered it almost at the same time as the opening of the store, so it was fresh and hot.
In addition, I was able to get the contents of the stuffy, just like the middle toro.
Also, at first glance it looks like taiyaki, but it looks like taiyaki.
Do you know that the characteristics of tuna, which is more sturdy than sea bream, are faithfully reproduced?

Sanokiya-3.jpg

This item has a very chewy finish than it looks.
We recommend that you put it in a pack instead of a paper bag.

The official website of Tsukiji Outer Market is open from 7:00 to 15:00.
Please note that it is from 8:00 to 15:00 (finished as soon as it disappears) now.
(*Sunday, all day, and market holidays are closed.)

Sanokiya-5.jpg

I don't think it's anywhere....
This fall, please enjoy the sweets unique to Tsukiji.

“Shigeru Chitsuki” (Nihonbashihamacho)

[May rain George] September 15, 2018 18:00

[Famous Stores I Want to Retain]

This time, we interviewed the Japanese sweets "Chizuki Shigeru".

"Shigeru Chizuki" is famous for its large dorayaki. Many people may overlook this shop. The tiled roof at the entrance of the rattle and open glass door ... All Japanese private houses built shortly after the war looked like this.

There are no Japanese shop curtain or banners that resemble a Japanese confectionery shop, and only one piece of paper written "Dorayaki" is placed on the glass door from the inside. In the season, only "Mizuyokan" and "Kashiwamochi" paper is added here. Isn't it difficult for people to visit for the first time? I'm worried about it.

Shigeru Chizuki store. jpg

From making Japanese sweets to selling, we talked to his husband, Takayasu Mochizuki (75 years old), who is working alone.

Takayasu's grandfather was engaged in kimono-related work in Ningyocho. However, the payment of customers may be delayed, making management difficult and unavoidable. After the end of the war, Takayasu's father learned how to make Japanese sweets because he was in the same country as the owner of Ueno's famous store "Eisen Okano". Then, in 1947, he opened a Japanese confectionery shop at home. Takayasu is the second generation master.

When you enter the entrance, there is a showcase in front of you. The standard products are ultra-large format "Dorayaki" (160 yen), small but hard baked and delicious "Kuribun" (140 yen), and "Middle" (140 yen), which sandwiches the bean paste on the spot As a seasonal product, "Kashiwamochi" at the time of the spring "Sakuramochi", "Kashiwamochi" at the end of the spring, summer festival, summer, summer. All of them are gems made with special attention to Hokkaido Dainagon red beans.

Inside the showcase, there is also a small rabbit figurine. Speaking of which, it is a very cute design with the motif of Chizuki Shigeru's wrapping paper and rabbits. I see, it's a rabbit with rice cakes in the moon. Actually, it seems that this was designed by Takayasu's grandfather. The Japanese-style design sense is outstanding because you can do the kimono-related business.

By the way, if you say Shigeru Chizuki's push, it's "dorayaki" anyway.
A big dorayaki in a bag. Its size is about 10.5 cm in diameter, weighs more than 150 grams, so that the bag cannot be closed, and the tape that is fastened seems to stick to the dorayaki body.

Dorayaki size. jpg

This time, I took the plunge to listen to what I had been wondering. "How do you put this dorayaki in a bag?......That's right. If you don't break the bag, you can't take out the contents and eat it.

In fact, it seems that the wind is applied to the freshly made dorayaki, put it in a bag without overlooking the moment when the surface is thirsty, lightly hit it and put it with weight. If you remove the timing, you will not be able to enter anymore.

Mr. Chizuki Shigeru seems to have not advertised at all, but he still hears the rumor and seems to occasionally come TV coverage. There are many celebrities signs in the store.

There is also a sign from Edo Family Nekohachi, who had a birthplace in his neighborhood, and Ken Ogata in relation to Nekohachi. Other things like Dankichi, Kimiko Mori, etc. And one thing new is Kumiko Fujiyoshi's signature that he came to the store on TV coverage in May this year. After all, it seems that the number of customers will increase after receiving TV coverage.

Sign. jpg

"Shigeru Chitsuki", a Japanese confectionery standing quietly on the south side of Hamacho Park. I want Takayasu to keep making the specialty dorayaki forever.

Finally, I asked you about the succession of this shop, but you said that there are no heirs at present. Actually, Takayasu had a son, but unfortunately he had an incurable disease and died a few years ago. I wish you all the best again.

◆ Walking around Ningyocho in early autumn

[Sumida Fireworks] September 13, 2018 14:00

On Saturday, September 8, I completed an errand in Fukagawa and crossed the Sumida River Ohashi toward Chuo-ku. Summer-like clouds are still flowing in the wind, but the sky above the Sky Tree seems to be a little autumnish. Will it cool down a little more?

Today, I'm going to buy Hojicha at Morinoen in Ningyocho, and then walk toward Horidome-cho, where I'm going to Ise Inari Shrine is located.

s_hanabi64-1.jpg

This road, which the Sumida River Ohashi passes, is called "Ningyocho-dori" from the intersection of Suitengu and leads to Ningyocho, Horidome-cho, and Kodemmacho, and leads to Akihabara (after all, today I walked to Kodemmacho).

When you cross the bridge, there is a high-speed junction. The structure is too complicated to see, and I am impressed every time I visit that Japanese people often made something like this many decades ago.

s_hanabi64-2.jpg

I came in front of Suitengu, so I went up the stairs and stopped by the precincts. I wonder if everyone came to pray for safe delivery, it's quite crowded and surprised. I think it was nice to have a good weather.

In Ningyocho, the "Tenten Festival" is held every fall. This event was named after "Totsuki Tooka" as a festival wishing for safe delivery because there is a Suitengu Shrine. This year, which began with the history of Heisei and became the 30th time, is scheduled to be held on October 7 (Sun), and before that, "Ningyoichi" is also located on October 4-6, so the autumn of Ningyocho It is an event.

s_hanabi64-3.jpg

One of today's objectives is to buy "Extreme Hojicha" at Morinoen in amazake Yokocho, Ningyocho. This golden package of tea is my favorite of the mother, and once I bought it as a souvenir before, I was captivated by the mellow taste. I'm going to order it online, so I decided to buy this tea as a souvenir when I return home.

I spent many years at the Sayama tea ceremony, and the tea was recognized by a noisy mother, so I think it is definitely a delicious tea.

s_hanabi64-4.jpg

Around the shop, there is a healing scent of roasting roasted tea, and everyone stops at the storefront. Hojicha soft is popular because the heat still remains. There was a sweet shop on the second floor, and it seemed to be a little lined up on the stairs.

And go to Horidome-cho to find another place I want to go to today, "Iseyo Inari Shrine". On the way, I lost my way and wandered around Kofune-cho was Horidome Children's Park. I was building a temporary hut in preparation for the festival, but I was surprised at the considerable size.

s_hanabi64-5.jpg

Looking at the poster that was affixed nearby, it seems that the festival of Yakumo Shrine will be held once every four years this weekend.

relocation ceremony on the evening of the 13th

On the 14th (Fri) afternoon Shinko Festival

carrying of miniature shrines, Head Office

If you search for "Yakumo Shrine" in the search box at the bottom left of the correspondent blog, some other correspondent articles will be hit. It seems that the shrine is located in Kanda Myojin, and a temporary hut is built in this Horidome Children's Park during the festival, and mikoshi seems to be carried around Kofune-cho.

I wanted to go there once every four years, but I'm sorry that I couldn't go because I had a plan.

s_hanabi64-6.jpg

By the way, I was in Inari Shrine, but when I looked around a little, I found that it was a little closer to Ningyocho-dori in Horidome Children's Park and was in a place where I could not understand the back of the apartment site. However, it seems that some people are worshiping as such because they seem to be guiding them with some red flags. It's such a place, so if you didn't have a flag, you might not have been able to find it.

The precincts are small but neatly arranged, and I felt that it was very thankful to keep watching such a small shrine.

s_hanabi64-7.jpg

This shrine is said to have been built in the early Edo period by Jinnemon Shoji and others who requested the Shogunate to set up Yoshiwara Yukaku, so it may be a shrine that tells the era when this area was a playground. After that, this area became a play area, and the first Danjuro Ichikawa visited this shrine and raised his name, and it seems that it was named Susei Inari Shrine.

I wanted to visit this shrine because the event that happened last summer when I wrote an article on "The First Danjuro Ichikawa" on this blog last summer was so shocking.

It was on the night of June 21, last year. I thought I had to write a blog post that I wrote today for some reason, and I asked the tourist association to approve it until 3:00 am on the 22nd. Normally, it took a few days to release, but for some reason it was released at 12:00 noon on that day.

I guess Mao will die that night. 。 。 When I saw the morning news on the 23rd, I was very sorry why I wrote such an article at this time.

So, if I had the opportunity, I always wanted to visit this shrine, which is related to the first Danjuro Ichikawa.

s_hanabi64-8.jpg

I'm a little relieved to hear the news that Kangen-kun, the eldest sons of Ebizo and Mao, stood on the stage. I hoped to grow as a Kabuki actor in the future, and asked today.

I visited another shrine. It is Horidome-cho Sanko Inari Shrine, just across Ningyocho Street.

s_hanabi64-9.jpg

When I visited this shrine, I found a cat that was gone, so there were many cat figurines. It seems that the owner of the cat found will give thanks. If you find a cat, I'll come to the place.

I wonder if this area is a business district, Saturday today is quiet. I haven't visited much, but it may be a good city when you want to walk calmly. I remembered the old architecture "Hario Glass Building" nearby, so I went to see it for the first time.

s_hanabi64-10.jpg

In the past, it was a building used by financial institutions, so it was built robustly and the design was good, so it could continue to remain. I can't find such an artistic building in this area anymore, so I wanted you to keep it as a symbol of this city.

s_hanabi64-11.jpg

Today, I walked slowly around the shrine, but I wish I could enjoy the autumn of food a little more. This time, I'd like to investigate a little more and capture the food town Ningyocho.

[Tokyo Dumbo] September 3, 2018 18:00

"Hatchobori Bon Odori" was held at Keika Square for two days, Thursday, August 30 and 31 (Friday), when summer vacation ends.

"Hatchobori Bon Odori" is sponsored by the Kyobashi Shichinobe Association (the town council in the Hatchobori district, Chuo-ku) and is very popular every year.

This is an event worthy of deepening the bonds of the Hatchobori district, which retains the downtown atmosphere, and closing the hot summer of this year. I am grateful and grateful to the people involved, including the sponsored Kyobashi Shichinobe Association Town Association.
