“Chuo-ku Marugoto Museum 2018”, which is longer than last year, Part 1: Morning attendance scenery (Kachidoki-Harumi Wharf)

[Edamame] Nov. 17, 2018 09:00

This is Edamame, a correspondent with children.

In a sense, it is a continuation of the "Daughter Azuki's Shichigosan" series ...

On November 4 (Sun), a major event of Chuo-ku and correspondents.

"Chuo-ku Marugoto Museum 2018" was held.

http://www.marugoto-chuo.jp/wp/

Volunteers of correspondents are supposed to take a free patrol bus in the city that runs on the day as a bus guide.

And Edamame also had that role.

I was fluttering at Shichigosan the day before, but I got up early on the morning of the 4th.

And last year we hit the typhoon directly! It was going to be difficult.

Without such a thing, it seems that it can be held as usual. I'm relieved.

In other words, I think I can participate in more events than last year. I'm looking forward to it.

And ... how to go to work this time.

I'm a little worried.

Edamame living in the Hamacho area.

The meeting place for correspondents is Harumi Passenger Ship Terminal.

So, the time was just right, so last year I went to work on a free ship operated on the day.

/archive/2017/11/post-4725.html

But ... I think it's going to be in time for this meeting time.

And it's time when you don't know if the free tour bus will be in time.

And a word from my husband.

"Walking makes you thin. I ate a lot of feast yesterday."

(The feast of yesterday ... This is the "Shichigosan Sukiyaki Course" of Ningyocho, which I wrote in the previous article.)

・・There's no sound.

So I decided to take the subway to Kachidoki and walk from there.

I found it after passing the ticket gate at Kachidoki Station.

The Ninoken, a junior high school exam specializing in the opening of the Kachidoki school.

http://www.nichinoken.co.jp/event/newopen/kachidoki.html

This is the Kachidoki area where the number of family members is increasing.

It is also convincing that there will be more options for admission to school.

I think the number of more educated families will increase in the Kachidoki area.

After walking for a while, you will reach the square in front of Harumi Triton Square.

This is the lottery venue in stamp rally of the Marugoto Museum.

There is a place where stamps are installed at the event venue held on the day.

A mechanism that allows you to participate in the lottery if you collect three or more of them.

The staff who wore orange hoodies early in the morning is busy preparing.

That's right. We, who do the bus guide, also wear this parka.

It's easy to understand because it's a prominent color.

After walking for a while, it's like this.

I've seen it for a while.

On the day of "Marugoto Museum 2018", from 2:00 pm on November 4th

Ring Route 2 has been provisionally opened.

Map jpg

Ring Route 2 which runs through the site of the former Tsukiji Market.

This is the aorta of the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games that connects the New National Stadium and Harumi's Olympic Village.

Construction started waiting for the closing of Tsukiji Market.

(It is not possible to start construction unless it closes.)

To be honest, I didn't think it would reach the provisional opening in less than a month after the closing on October 6.

I'm sorry for the efforts of the people involved in the construction work.

Tsukiji Ohashi, which was already completed in 2016, will be able to be used properly.

Tsukiji Ohashi, it was the "most wasteful building" among me ...

As long as there is no way on the Tsukiji market side, it will be nice with a cool form.

It could not be used as a bridge, but it was just a view from a distance.

DSC_4167-1.jpg

In front of Harumi Incineration Plant. It's a road to Tsukiji Ohashi.

It's early morning, so it's still closed.

You'll get rid of it at two p.m.

DSC_4168-1.jpg

And in the opposite area of the Incineration Plant ...

Athlete Village of the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games

I was beginning to show my shape.

When I came to the museum last year.

But the crane was still standing.

(It was at the stage of construction of the ground.)

You can see the shape so far in a year.

After the Olympic and Paralympic Games, this area was converted to a residential area.

Two additional high-rise buildings were built.

The total population is expected to increase by 12,000 people.

It is said that a new elementary and junior high school is also planned.

I'm really looking forward to seeing many changes in the city in the future.

DSC_4169-1.jpg

"Harumi Passenger Ship Terminal" arrived at last like this.

・・Well, after all, it was a little far away when I walked! (laughs)

Should I take a Toei bus even in front of Harumi Triton Square?

And ... to the "Marugoto Museum Free Tour Bus" which departs at 9:00 am at Nihonbashi Junior High School

I feel like I was pulled out in the middle of the construction area of the athlete village ...

It was the right answer to get on from the "Hamacho Nakano Bridge" bus stop ...

And it seems that the bus is going better than I thought. Is it because it's morning?

"Good morning ~ (Slightly Herohello)"

We arrived at the bus guide volunteer waiting area at the Harumi Passenger Terminal.

I was laughing when I talked to Mr. K at the secretariat.

・・Oh, okay? I walked with a lot of pictures.

That's why I'll do my best in the future!

From the window of the "Chuo-ku Marugoto Museum" tour bus

[Hanes] Nov. 16, 2018 18:00

Hello. This is a new correspondent, Hanes.
As the senior correspondents wrote,
I also served as a volunteer bus guide on the tour bus at the Marugoto Museum in Chuo-ku on November 4th.
It was tended to be at first because it was the first challenge this time, but after running the same road several times,
I was able to grasp the timing and the ad-lib became effective.
There's nothing to do.

IMG_20181111_092251.jpg

This time, we picked up three information on Chuo-ku, which had a good response to passengers on the tour bus, and picked up them.
We will introduce it together with the event in November.

■The population of Yaesu 2-chome is the smallest 24 people in the ward (* Information before updating on November 2)
According to the "Population and Number of Households in Chuo-ku (as of November 1, 2018)" published by the Chuo-ku Office, the current population is 31.
The number of households is 28, and the breakdown is 17 men and 14 women.

In Yaesu, urban redevelopment projects are currently underway, and many construction sites are noticeable.
When a new office building with the Bulgarian Hotel and Joto Elementary School has been completed, it will be completed.
Will there be some fluctuations in the population around here?
In that sense, it is an interesting block that I would like to pay attention to in the future.

■Nihonbashi Seven Lucky Gods
It is said that the religion of Seven Lucky Gods began in the Muromachi period.
The eight shrines related to Seven Lucky Gods in the Nihonbashi area enshrines Ebisu God, a thriving business.
Even today, tours around Seven Lucky Gods are still popular.

IMG_9365.JPG
(Sugimori Shrine, which enshrines Ebisu God)

One of the eight companies is Koami Shrine (Fukurokuju, Benzaiten), whose main religion is Ise-jingu Shrine.
The Doburoku Festival from Niiname-no-Matsuri will be held on November 28 (Wednesday), thanks for the good harvest of new grains.
From 9:00 am, a talisman made of Susukino, a representative of the seven herbs in autumn, will be awarded.
The benefits of good luck and prosperity of business are "mi" (body).
It seems that it is mizuku after "sticking" to the family's "mi" (body)

In the afternoon, the village kagura dance, an important national Intangible Folk Cultural Property, will be dedicated.
If you have time, why don't you go see it?

■The roots of the Sumida River Fireworks Festival
fireworks festival has become an entertainment now, but in fact it wasn't the beginning!
Many people died due to bad harvests and epidemics of 1732, and many people died.
The 8th Shogun Yoshimune Tokugawa, who was worried about this, held a water god festival on the Sumida River the following year as a prayer for the eradication of illness and the memorial service for the dead.
At that time, the boat inn and restaurant at the base of Ryogoku Bridge paid for it and obtained the permission of the Shogunate.
It is said that they have launched fireworks to memorialize the spirits of the dead.
In overseas tourism media, such roots are sometimes introduced.
When people from overseas ask about this fireworks festival, it would be nice if they could introduce Japanese culture, including their roots.

For the secret spots where you can enjoy fireworks from Chuo-ku, please visit us.
[Sumida River Fireworks Festival] How can I see it from a secret place in Chuo-ku? Please take a look at it.

That's all for the three selections of Chuo-ku information that had a good response.
For lunch on this day, I had entered the Yatai Village Championship at the Harumi Autumn Festival.
I had chicken kebab from Turkish food stall "Ruby's Kebab".

DSC_2933.JPG

The kebab, which has a good cospa, has a good response to eating and delicious.

DSC_2934.JPG

And what is Harumi Wharf, the first and last stop of the tour bus, a trip advisor?
I was ranked 19th in "Popular Date Spot 2018"
Despite the fact that there are popular shopping and gourmet areas such as Ginza and Tsukiji, there are also areas that are popular for shopping and gourmet food.
We surpassed them and achieved the only top 20 from Chuo-ku!

DSC_2938.JPG

At night, you can enjoy the light-up of the Rainbow Bridge.
You can relax while listening to the sound of the waves.
It is a recommended spot for those who are not good at places with many people.

DSC_1971.JPG

Chuo-ku has a beautiful spot with interesting history, culture, and night view.
Every time you come, you will surely have a new discovery!
Please come and visit us when you come nearby.

Sluice gates that protect the Tsukuda, Tsukishima, Kachidoki and Harumi areas

[Yo-chan] Nov. 14, 2018 14:00

In the Tsukuda, Tsukishima, Kachidoki and Harumi areas, there are five sluice gates to protect the town from floods. The sluice gate is set at the border between the outer waters separated by the external dike and the inner waters. If the water level in the outer waters rises due to storm surges, the sluice will be closed to prevent the water level from rising in the inner waters. The area is protected by 5 gates: 1 Sumiyoshi Suimon, 2 Tsukuda Suimon, 3 Asashio Suimon, 4 Hamamae Suimon, and 5 Tsukishima River Suimon. Each of the five sluice gates was different in shape and interesting, so I will introduce them.

p-Tsukishima sluice gate image. jpg

①Sumiyoshi Sluice Gate

It is a sluice gate that protects the Tsukuda area from floods such as storm surges. It is a single-leaf roller gate format, with a diameter of 4m x 1 series. It was completed in 1965.

②Tsukuda Sluice Gate

It is a sluice gate at the entrance to the Asashio Canal from the Harumi Canal. It is a double-leaf roller gate format with a diameter of 11.4m x 2 series. It was completed in 1963.

③Morning tide gate

It is a sluice gate at the entrance connecting the Asashio Canal and Tokyo Port. The effective width of 11.4m x 2 double Kannon opening has been adopted in a swing gate format with no height restrictions so that large ships can enter. It was completed in 1964. At present, after crossing Tsukiji Ohashi from the Tsukiji River, the dawn Ohashi of Loop Route 2 from the Kachidoki side to the Harumi side has been completed, so high boats cannot pass.

④Hamamae (Hamasaki) Sluice Gate

It is a sluice gate that prevents flood damage from Shinzuki Shimakawa. It is a single-leaf roller gate with a diameter of 8.4m x 1 line, but it is a sluice gate with no operation room at the top of the roller gate. It was completed in 1964.

⑤Tsukishima River Suimon

It is a sluice gate that prevents flood damage from the Tsukishima River, and is a single-leaf roller gate with a diameter of 11m x 1 series. It was completed in 1964.

p-Hamamae sluice gate. jpg p-Tsukishima River Suimon. jpg

④Hamamae Sluice Gate ⑤Tsukishima River Suimon

The Tsukishima River and the Shinzuki Shimakawa River both connect the Sumida River and the Asashio Canal, but the Tsukishima River is a river and the Shinzuki Shimakawa is a canal. Therefore, Tsukuda Suimon, Asashio Suimon and Hamamae Suimon are managed by the Tokyo Port and Harbor Bureau, which is the canal manager, and Sumiyoshi Suimon and Tsukishima River Suimon are managed by the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Construction, which is the river manager. I am. I felt a little uncomfortable in the situation where the managers of the sluice gates in the same area were different.

Antarctic observation ship departs from Harumi to South Pole

[saru] November 12, 2018 12:00

On November 10, Harumi went to see off the Antarctic observation ship "Shirase" departing for the 60th Antarctic observation. I did a tour bus ride guide at the whole Chuo-ku Museum on the 4th, but at that time I introduced that Antarctic observation ship would leave Harumi and return to port, and the customer told me that it was departing on the 10th. Whats On the day, I went early by car, but the parking lot at the passenger terminal was full. Once I returned home and went back by bus, I was in time for my departure.

The terminal was full of family, friends, and people who were sent off. "Shirase" is a ship of the Marine Self Defense Force, right? A send-off ceremony, such as instructions from executives, followed by marching under the performance of the music band and boarding. By the way, the observation team goes to Australia by plane and boards there.

181110_102314.mp4_snapshot_01.22_[2018.11.12_07.20.08]z.jpg

After that, I moved to the pick-up deck and saw off the departure at 11 o'clock. In the space battleship Yamato played by the music band, everyone waved their hands to keep away from the whistle whistle quay, cheered and sent off.

The news that passed through the Rainbow Bridge and headed to the South Pole will return to Harumi again on April 9 next year. I wish you a safe voyage.

The Hamarikyu Garden, which walks through Harumi Ohashi, Toyosu Ohashi, and Tsukiji Ohashi, is right in front of you.

[Silver] Nov. 10, 2018 09:00

On November 5, from Harumi Triton Square, we toured the "Furusato Harumi Archives Exhibition Hall" at the side of Harumi Ohashi from outside, and saw a fine mikoshi on display.

He then crossed Harumi Ohashi for the first time in several years.

Tokyo Olympics. I felt that the Paralympic Games will be held in 2020.

We passed through an intersection with condominiums such as Tokyo Towers, located on the south side of Kachidoki Station, and headed to Tsukiji Ohashi.

1541509586424 (400x225). jpg

At Tsukiji Ohashi, I met several pairs of parents and children walking from apartments around Tokyo Towers. One set goes to the Kabukiza Theater. The other group was walking to Ginza 8-chome. It was tentatively opened for the bypass of Route 2, but traffic became very convenient, Chuo-ku was double geographically doubled and artificially doubled, making it a great development I had a feeling. And at the exit of the bypass of Route 2, Hamarikyu Onshi Garden, a water bus was about to leave.

1541509645017 (400x225). jpg

It was my first time to see a water bus so much that I could get it, and the greenery of Hamarikyu made me forget that I was in a big city of Tokyo. Silver

The 20th Navel Exhibition To build the era of Chuo-ku Industrial Culture Exhibition and open up the next generation

[Silver] Nov. 8, 2018 12:00

"The 20th Navel Exhibition Chuo-ku Industrial Culture Exhibition" was held for three days on November 4, 5, and 6, 2018.

This is a cultural exhibition entitled "Chuo-ku's industry and culture, which builds the times and warms up the next generation and learns new things." Also, it's the last navel exhibition in the Heisei era.

At the Grand Lobby of Harumi Island Triton Square, a large number of customers, especially children from nearby elementary schools, visited the social studies tour. The booth of the Chuo-ku Tourist Information Center was at the entrance, and Kumihimo and "Senshafu Furoshiki" in Chuo-ku were exhibited and sold. I think this Senshafuroshiki is good for bandanas that cover the head. If you put it in a bag, I think it will be a substitute for a muffler that covers the neck when the wind blows.

DSCN2020 (400x300). jpg

When I entered the venue, my eyes were nailed to the kimono of the Origami Kaikan Tokyo Orimono Inventory Association. It is a costume worn by the Emperor and Empress during the Imperial Family Festival. In addition, kimonos such as Junihitoe were on display.

DSCN2023 (400x300). jpg

In a quiz that is popular among elementary school children, a quiz is held.

DSCN2032.JPG

A booklet called "Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry Understanding with Manga" was distributed to all correct answerers, commentary by Detective Conan. I gave it to me too.

We received a collection of 100 views of Nihonbashi, published by Taisei Printing Co., Ltd. (Nihonbashi Marching Committee).

DSCN2034 (400x300). jpg

"I would like you to express familiar scenery and cityscapes, such as everyday scenes, memories schools, bridges, historical buildings, and delicious shops, with watercolors full of taste, and enjoy the changing city." Greetings are written.

Local Tsukishima Industrial Association, Tokyo Fire Department Rinko Fire Station, Chuo-ku Kazuo Confectionery Association, Tokyo Stock Exchange, etc. were also exhibited.

There were also food counters such as eel climbing, Tsukiji Tama Sushi, and Uokyu.

DSCN2038 (400x300). jpg

The booths of Ozu Washi and Edoya were also crowded with many people.

I enjoyed the quiz rally that I received immediately after entering.

In the Tosho 140th Anniversary X quiz, "?" How many years did the navel exhibition be held for the first time?" Or, (the answer is 1980)

DSCN2052 (400x300). jpg

It was a quiz about the industry that was made for the first time in Chuo-ku and the food made for the first time.

After the quiz, get prizes, arrange today's results, and expand your purchased lunch.

In addition, we received a paper balloon from the Tsukishima Industrial Association, stationery for the navel exhibition, and a booklet on Chuo-ku "Transition of Town Name".

DSCN2061.JPG

The eel lunch at Totei, which I haven't eaten for a while, was plump and really delicious.

The "Super absorbent microfiber umbrella cover", which was given as a quiz prize, is not only convenient for carrying wet umbrellas, but also effective in keeping plastic bottles warm and easy to use. Thank you very much. We look forward to seeing you in the next generation.
