Hello. This is a new correspondent, Hanes. When you hear the Tohoku region, do you think of any relevance to Chuo-ku? After all, many people think of Higashine City, Yamagata Prefecture, a friendship city. This time, apart from Higashine City, we will introduce places related to the historic sites of Chuo-ku that I found when visiting the Tohoku region.
[Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture x Tsukuda] Kaikaikan Kaikaikan, a Kappo cuisine inn where cultural figures from the Meiji and Taisho eras stayed. It was burned down by the Great Kanto Earthquake, and now only information boards remain in Tsukuda. In fact, the building of this ryokan was relocated from Sendai City. At that time, it was a scenic and quiet place with a panoramic view of Tokyo Bay. It is said that Toson Shimazaki, Kaoru Osanai, Mokutaro Kinoshita, Rofu Miki, Isamu Yoshii, Manjiro Kubota, Yumeji Takehisa, and Ginnosuke Nisutsu also visited.
(I'm sorry for the evening photo.)
[Yamagata Prefecture x Nihonbashi Honmachi] Mt. Haguro At the beginning of the Edo period, the benevolent bamboo became the lower daughter of the Sakuma family in Otemmacho. One day, the conductor of Mt. Haguro in Dewa told him that he was an incarnation of Dainichi Nyorai. Later, it is said that many people in the city who heard the story came to worship.

There is a stone monument called "Otake Dainichi Nyoraiido Ruins" at the site of the well she used now.

[Nakoso, Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture x Nihonbashikabutocho] Yoshiie Minamotono During the Heian period, Yoshiie Minamotono headed for the attack on Oshu, suffered a storm near the current armor bridge. When I threw a piece of armor into the sea and prayed to Ryujin, I was able to cross safely.
(Currently, there is an information board for the remains of armor.)
You can see the Yoshiya appearing here at Nakoso Seki and Nakoso Station in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture.
Photographed at Nakoso Seki. I'm sorry to rude again with the night picture.
On the monument at Nakoso no Seki, it is engraved that "the Heian period is nearing the end of the Gosannen War, the Mutsu Mamoru Genyoshi will go here on the way down to Oshu for its peace." Then, just as we approached Nakoso, Yoshie stopped pieces and wrote such a phrase on the cherry blossoms flying on the warlord's iron clothing as if we had the spring to go. "Is yamazakura?" ("Senjo Wakashu") Bulse: It's Nakoso's Seki, named "I'm coming," so I don't think there's a blowing wind, but yamazakura's flowers are scattered enough to block the road.
 Photographed at Nakoso Station.
Some of the historical sites in Chuo-ku are linked to Tohoku and all over the country. You can also think about history by connecting historical sites while traveling. And when I find a connection with my hometown, I'm sure it's not the only one who makes it even more fun to see historic sites.
There are some signboards that are not very noticeable and tend to spend time. When walking around the town, be sure to check the information boards of these historic sites.

Hello. This is a new correspondent, Hanes. Everyone planning to take the Chuo-ku Tourism Test, is your study progressing smoothly? When it gets cold, it's hard to walk around the town. In my case, on a warm day, I don't hesitate to visit historical sites and unfamiliar areas in the city.
By the way, the other day, we sent a river / bridge, Haiku / Kawayanagi, song / catchphrase as a measure for sightseeing certification in Chuo-ku. From this time, I will introduce the route edition in two parts!
As with the river and bridge edition, for those who are not from Tokyo and do not use public transportation very much, this is the case. I think it's a type of problem that makes you feel weak. But don't worry! If you hold the points, if you are not afraid of the route, you will be able to laugh and enter the test.

There are four points to keep in mind. ①JR East Line name and station name ②Toei Subway Line and Station Name ③Route name and station name of Tokyo Metro ④Year of opening The route section (1) explains 1 and 2, and the route section (2) explains 3 and 4.
①JR East Line name and station name There are only 2 JR lines that pass Chuo-ku, and only 3 JR stations! JR Sobu Line: Bakurocho Station, Shin-Nihonbashi Station JR Keiyo Line: Hatchobori Station
How about it? If you divide this way, don't you feel like you can learn the route?
②Toei Subway Line and Station Name There are only three Toei Subway lines that pass through Chuo-ku! That is the Toei Shinjuku Line, Toei Oedo Line, Toei Asakusa Line The number of stations on each line is 2, 3, and 5 in order. Toei Shinjuku Line: Hamacho Station, Bakuro-Yokoyama Station Toei Oedo Line: Tsukishima Station, Kachidoki Station, Tsukiji Market Station Toei Asakusa Line: Higashi Nihonbashi Station, Ningyocho Station, Nihombashi Station, Takaracho Station, Higashi-Ginza Station
The Toei Asakusa Line runs to the station with Higashi in Chuo-ku. By the way, the Toei Asakusa Line is also used when going to Haneda Airport.
I'm too good at route problems, so I challenged with no mark in last year's certification. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the answer to the route problem that was questioned, and I was inadvertently wrong. For this reason, this year we are taking measures for routes using the methods introduced in the future.
①Paste the route map in places you usually see (refrigerator, washroom, etc.) ②Look at the route map during commuting (because the transfer route information is often displayed) ③Memorize the announcement in the car (input "● Line changes to the line") ④One person who is not a Yamanote Line game ●● Play a line game (effective for routes with a large number of stations!) ⑤Actually use the station (regardless of whether or not you have a ride) ⑥Make a word card (station name on the front, line name on the back)

If you keep the tips on the route and remember it, think it's not scary, so let's survive!

On the New Year's Day , when the cold weather was in full swing, we took a stroll along the Sakura Promenade, a corner of Triton Square in Harumi, with a dog .

"Sakura no promenade" is made along the Asashio Canal and literally is a beautiful promenade with cherry blossoms in spring.

It's Harutsuki Bridge.

Asashiobashi is seen when you look at the north side of the Asashio Canal from the top of Harutsuki Bridge.

In the middle of the promenade, you can see the Tsukishima Bridge over the Tsukishima River, which connects the Asashio Canal and the Sumida River.

On the other side of Tsukishima Bridge is Nishinaka Bridge (not shown in the photo).

It's Sakura Kobashi, a small bridge that people can cross.

Beyond the tube-like triton bridge , there is the Reimei Bridge where Harumi-dori St. crosses the Asashio Canal, but it is not shown in the picture.

Cold weather is cold, but on a windless winter day, walking while watching the canals and bridges is fun.

As a custom of the past few years, I use the day of the New Year holidays to walk around Kachidoki and Harumi. This area seems to be a construction rush for the Tokyo Olympics next year. As a result, this year it was a little restless sight. There were many places under construction, and Harumi Wharf Park was also off-limits.
First of all, I went to Toyo-in, where the tombstone of Jukasha 19 is located in the indoor cemetery. At the entrance, there are an explanatory version and nineteen stone monuments written by Musei Tokugawa.

Cross the Niijima Bridge on Kiyosumi-dori, turn left at the second traffic light and head for Asashio Kobashi. Asashio Kobashi is a bridge dedicated to bicycles and pedestrians.

Next, we headed for the Harumi Trade Fair venue monument I visited for the first time. It was located in a corner of the premises of the Central District Incineration Plant. My debut at the Tokyo Motor Show was here (nostalgic....)

From the chimney of the Incineration Plant to Harumi Wharf. I'm building a number of large buildings. For this reason, there are many roads that are restricted to traffic, and a few years ago, Harumi Wharf, which could be seen from a distance, is difficult to see. If you finally arrive at the passenger ship terminal, this time the adjacent Harumi Wharf Park is off-limits!

However, I was relieved to find a series of hearts that I found a few years ago, a self-proclaimed "power spot that calls happiness". Can you find it?

At the end of this Burari Walk, I went home from Harumi Island Triton Square, crossing the simple and beautiful "Sakura Kobashi", which opened last year.

▲Triton Square is also wonderful!

Harumi in winter has many points I want to introduce, but this time it will be a curtain here.

From offshore Harumi Wharf, we photographed the construction scenery of the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games Village.
The construction is progressing smoothly, and we can't wait for completion. I saw the sign of Harumi Flag.

I went to see what kind of situation Harumi, who was decided to be the Olympic athlete village to be held in Tokyo in 2020, is in progress.
The area around Harumi Pier was undergoing an amazing transformation.

The impressive building of "Harumi Passenger Ship Terminal" (pictured above , left building) was the same, but there were many buildings for the athlete village in the past, where it was a parking lot or around it. Was under construction

After the Olympics, an even higher-rise tower apartment will be built, and many houses will be lined up.

There was a sign saying "Athlete Village Construction Site"

From Harumi Wharf, you can see the building of Toyosu Market (Koto-ku), which opened after the relocation of Tsukiji Market in October last year.

Over there, on the 5th of this month, there was the first New Year's annual “first auction”, and bluefin tuna (278 kg) from Oma, Aomori Prefecture was auctioned off for 333.6 million yen per bottle.
The scenery of Harumi is changing rapidly.
