[CAM] Nov. 1, 2015 09:00

Today (October 28, 2015), we departed from "Time Dome Akashi" (12-1 Akashicho). Time Dome Akashi (Chuo Ward Local Tenmonkan) is a complex with a gallery space where you can view local materials from Chuo-ku, a ward gallery that announces creative activities of individuals and groups, and a full-fledged planetarium. Next, leave Akashicho and cross "Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge". This bridge was built in 1964 in place of Tsukuda's ferry, about 220m in length and about 25m in width (Monoshiri Encyclopedia; page 104). From the top of the bridge, you will see River City and Chuo-ohashi Bridge. Chuo-ohashi Bridge was built in 1994 with the redevelopment of the Tsukuda area (Monoshiri Encyclopedia; page 58).

IMG_2071.JPG After crossing the bridge, you will enter Tsukuda and Tsukishima. Along with the construction of Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge, the Tsukuda River, which once flowed between Tsukuda Island and Tsukishima, was reclaimed, the two islands were connected to the ground, and the ferryboat was abolished (Monoshiri Encyclopedia; page 104).

If you proceed as it is, you will see the skyscrapers of Toyosu beyond the Harumi Canal on the left.

IMG_2073.JPG There is "Harumi Bridge" on the left, and it is written "Harumi Bridge" instead of Harumi Bridge and read as "Harumibashi". In the past, Kamen Rider V3 was used as a shooting location for encountering Rider Man, so it has become a sacred place for some enthusiasts and has become a famous spot.

Below is the direction of Tsukuda from the top of "Harumi Bridge".

IMG_2076.JPG When you cross Harumi Bridge, you will reach Toyosu, but the bus will turn right here and head toward Harumi.

IMG_2079.JPG Harumi is a landfill where most of it was completed during the Miosaku Tokyo Bay and the Sumida River improvement work carried out from the middle of the Meiji era to the early Showa era. Was.

In addition, Harumi was developed as a venue for the 2600 B.C. Japan World Exposition, which was scheduled to be held in 1940, but the World Exposition was canceled with the Olympic Games scheduled to be held at the same time for the war. After the war, the Tokyo International Trade Fair venue was set up, serving as venues for events such as trade fairs, motor shows, and electronics shows, and the former Japan Housing Corporation built many apartments such as Harumi Danchi.

Later, in 1996, the Tokyo International Trade Fair venue was closed, and high-rise buildings and condominiums such as large commercial facilities such as Harumi Island Triton Square have been constructed due to the redevelopment of the Harumi 1-chome area.

If you follow Harumi-dori St. at Harumi 1-chome and 2-chome, you will cross the Harumi-dori St. coming from Kachidokibashi. The extension of Harumi-dori St. from Kachidokibashi seems to be displayed as "Ariake-dori St.". At the police box at the intersection, I asked the police and checked it, but the police also seemed not to have enough knowledge of the street name.

IMG_2080[1]. jpg The building on the left is Hotel Urashima, which was closed in 2003, and is the current Harumi Center Building. On the right is "Ariake-dori St.."

If you go further along Harumi-dori St., you will find a sign indicating the site of the Secretariat of the Japan World Exposition 2600 BC.

IMG_2082.JPG This is the new building of the Tsukishima Police Station. The department is in charge of the Tsukishima, Tsukuda, Toyomi and Harumi districts. Moved from Kachidoki 6-7 to 3-16-14 Harumi, and started operations here on July 7, 2014 (Monday).

IMG_2087.JPG It's Harumi Wharf (ship liner terminal). It opened in 1991 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the opening of Tokyo Port (Monoshiri Encyclopedia; page 113). At the Marugoto Museum 2015, the Harumi Autumn Festival will be held.

Return to Harumi-dori St. on Harumi 3-5 chome, turn left, and cross the Asashio Canal at Reimei Bridge.

If you follow Harumi-dori St. heading to Kachidokibashi, you will cross Kiyosumi-dori and reach the Kachidoki intersection. Kachidoki Station on the Oedo Line is under construction to cope with the increasing number of business buildings and condominiums, and to cope with the rapid increase in the number of users.

After passing the Kachidoki intersection, you will see Tsukishima Daini Elementary School on the left, and Kachidokibashi is already in front of you.

It is Tsukiji Market seen from near Kachidokibashi. Relocated from Nihonbashi in the wake of the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923 (1923), opened in 1935 (1935), and has the oldest history among 11 Tokyo Central Wholesale Markets, It has been decided to relocate to Toyosu. There were various discussions in the course, but it seems that it was finally officially decided to open the Toyosu Market on November 7, 2016.

There are monuments such as the site of the Navy Accounting School near Kachidokibashi, but the following is a monument to Kachidokibashi.

IMG_2109.JPG With this, the end point (start point) is already close. Today's bus will run this course in about an hour, but I will walk for 4 days from Sunday (October 25) to Wednesday (October 28), walk for the first 3 days, and bicycle on the last day I spent more than 10 hours in total.

Although it was a study, I was able to organize and understand the state of the streets in Chuo-ku, which I did not know systematically until now. .
