Autumn leaves of Metasequoia [Akatsuki Park]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] December 17, 2015 14:00

metase11.JPG

At Akatsuki Park in Chuo Ward, located in Tsukiji 7-chome, Metasequoia is currently in autumn leaves.

metase12.JPG

Metasequoia is the coniferous tree of the genus Metasequoia of the cypress family (or cedar family) and the Japanese name is Akebono cedar (Akebono cedar).

metase13.JPG

After turning reddish brown in autumn, the leaves fall.

It seems that the tree height will reach 30m () when it grows.

metase15.JPG

Metasequoia is called a "living fossil" because it was found in 1939 as a plant body (one species of fossils) in Japan, but it was confirmed in 1945 in Sichuan, China.

Today, cutting and seeds from China are grown in parks and schoolyards throughout Japan.

Christmas illuminations on the rooftop [Nihonbashi Takashimaya]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] December 15, 2015 16:00

On the rooftop "Top Island" of Nihonbashi Takashimaya, you can enjoy the fir trees that are now colored with Christmas illuminations.

The Christmas illumination period is until Friday, December 25.

takasil12.JPG

In addition, at the "Green Cafe" on the rooftop, you can also enjoy a limited-time menu inspired by Christmas, a traditional Danish confectionery "Fruborer" & hot wine set.

takasil13.JPG

During the period, green cafe users will receive a "star ornament" to the first 20 people, and you can attach a star ornament to the fir tree with a wish of Christmas.

The Green Café is open from 10 am to 6 pm, and unfortunately it was past business hours when I went there. I'll go early this time.

takasil11.jpg

By the way, did you know that there was an elephant on the roof of Nihonbashi Takashimaya?

It is Takako-chan, an Asian elephant purchased from the Kingdom of Thailand in 1950.

It seems that about 170,000 people came in on the first day of the exhibition (Takako moved to Ueno Zoo four years later).

For a long time, every time I passed in front of the shop, I was very worried.

Also, when I looked at the website, I found that I was very missionary and worked to spread alcohol and create a network between people through alcohol, so I entered the store and talked to the store owner.

koujiy14.JPG

First of all, I asked about "Oho", which is "Super Umaguchi Active Turku Shushu".

I also had a careful answer to my super beginner's questions.

"Oshu no Oho" below was sampled and purchased.

koujiy16.JPG

The shop offers a wide variety of wine, shochu, and koji foods as well as sake.

Below is "Hiroshige / Hokusai Ukiyo Ezu Sake" scheduled to be released soon.

Both Hiroshige and Hokusai are painters who are related to Chuo-ku.

Ginza Kojiya Sanshiro Sake Store is a 2-minute walk from Shintomicho Station on the Yurakucho Line.

The address is on the 1st floor of the Tokai Building, Ginza 1-23-4.

The map above is the location of red circle.

It is a shop that enhances the enjoyment of sake.

I'll come again.
