An exhibition of Kumihimo, a traditional craft, is being held at Gallery Yaesu Tokyo, located in Yaesu Underground Shopping Center No. 1, Yaesu 2-chome No. 1.

This is the first time that this exhibition will be held at this gallery Yaesu.

In addition to the obi tightening and rooted strings that are familiar as Kumihimo are displayed, Kumihimo accessories and ties are also displayed.

In addition, there are many "Kumihimo paintings" that cannot be seen rarely elsewhere.

It seems that Fumiyo Kashiwagi is a pioneer in this "Kumihimo picture".

"Kumihimo-e" is a combination of patterns and joined together.

At the "Hospitality Fair Nihonbashi Kitazume 2018" hosted by the Nihonbashi Kitazume Store Association, a talk show on soba was held on Sunday, October 28 and heard.

The theme of this year's second "Nihonbashi Long-established husband talk show" is "Soba".

Following last year, the talk was hosted by Miki Sakai, editor-in-chief of the monthly “Nihonbashi”, followed by Hiroshi Mizutani, the third generation owner of the long-established “Toshihisa-an” in Nihonbashi, and Hikaru Hoshi, President of the Edo Soba Rie Association. It was done.

The talk venue was a special stage for the underground sidewalk of Edo Sakura-dori St. (Soon after leaving Mitsukoshimae Station, space between choledo Muromachi 1 and choledo Muromachi 3).

Beginning with Hoshi's remark that "the origin of soba is Nihonbashi", it is full of things I didn't know, the history of soba, the deep relationship between "tsuyu", "dashi", and "tare", the relationship between Japanese cuisine and "mirin" and "sugar", followed by a talk about uroko from Hoshi's eyes, the third generation owner of "Toshihisa Iso-an", "Iso-an".

On October 27 (Saturday), we participated in a new project and quiz rally for the “Hospitality Fair Nihonbashi Kitazume 2018” hosted by the Nihonbashi Kitazume Store Association (“Fukutoku Festival” until last year).

This is "Let's Know with Quiz Nihonbashi Kitazume Town Walk"

First of all, we accepted participation next to Nihonbashi Information Center in Coredo Muromachi 1 basement (I got a quiz mount), and went around five designated stores.

If you answer all the questions correctly by answering the quiz on the sign installed in front of each store, you will get a wonderful prize.

The first store is Yamamoto-noriten (1-6-3 Nihonbashi Muromachi).

The correct answer is "ro." It's a seasoned laver.

The second store, "Nihonbashimurocho Toyonen Manpuku" (1-8-6 Nihonbashi Muromachi).

The correct answer is yes. This is, of course, the Nihonbashi River

The third store, "Nakaya of Glasses" (1-13-8 Nihonbashi Muromachi)

"Himalaya Elementary School Masterpiece Exhibition 2018-Everyone-" is being held at "Communication Gallery Fugensha" on the second floor of Tsukiji Garden Building, Tsukiji 1-chome (map below, red spot)

The event period is from Tuesday, October 23 to November 3 (Saturday / holiday).

(Tue) from 12:00 to 19:00, (Sat) from 12:00 to 17:00, (Sun) and (Mon) are closed.

This is due to Daisuke Yoshioka, the operation representative of Himalaya Elementary School, established in 2004, his first autobiography, "Creating a school in Himalayas-I without money and the Challenge of abandoned children" (Junposha) It is held to commemorate the publication of the magazine in August.

To commemorate the release of this book, a painting exhibition and a photo exhibition are being held at the gallery.

Paintings drawn by children attending Himalaya Elementary School and expressive photographs of students taken by Mr. Yoshioka are displayed.

The children's paintings depict dreams of the profession they want to be in the future, and the photos show the trust and familiarity between Yoshioka and the children, and the works that are really pleasant to see It is just

At the venue, colorful handicrafts produced by graduates of Himalaya Elementary School are sold.

In addition, postcards of Nepalese children with smiles shot by Yoshioka were also sold.

These proceeds will be donated to Himalaya Elementary School.

Also, Mr. Yoshioka's book is on sale at the venue.
