The ladder of Hamarikyu's hawk and relay race support

[saru] January 6, 2019 12:00

On the 3rd, following last year's New Year's Day, we went to see a demonstration of hawk art at Hamarikyu Onshi Garden. This is held every year on the New Year because Hamarikyu was the shogun's falconry ground.

Some of the customers who wanted to do it challenged and flew to their arms properly.

Demonstration of sudden descending from the adjacent building to the prey. Last year, a lot of flying birds and crows flew around and threatened, so I fell down the tree on the way.

This year, the hawk descended in a straight line toward the prey.

There is also a store in the park, and we received "Shogun Zoni" from the Kabukiza store. He seems to reproduce the zoni eaten by the general, and his body warmed.

After preparing the stomach for the time being, go to support the Ekiden.

It seemed to pass Chuo-dori from Kyobashi to Eitai-dori St. at about 13 o'clock, so I walked to the intersection of Yaesu Street. When we arrive, there are quite a lot of supporters and brass bands from run university coming along the roadside and it is exciting. After a while, the leading runner came and cheered a lot.

It's like the last spurt, probably because the goal of Otemachi is near.

It was a day when I could enjoy the realism of life, different from watching on TV.

New Year's Day in the garden.

A cup of matcha at Ochiyaya in Nakajima.
Shosei confectionery has a very elegant taste.

From the stall, which is set up to protrude into the pond, the scenery unique to winter spreads out.

Snow hanging is an accent to the winter garden.

This is the Ochiyaya of Tsubame, which was specially open to the public.
The view from the top is a valuable opportunity.

The hawk flew in the sky with good luck, and it was a peaceful New Year in the pleasant sunshine.

Nihonbashi Takashimaya Kadomatsu and pine decorations New Year 2019

[Silver] January 5, 2019 12:00

I was wondering what kind of shape the bamboo of Kadomatsu to decorate during the New Year's Day at Nihonbashi Takashimaya was.

The upper part of the cut is equipped with safety measures. You can see a laugh at the cut. It's a good way to laugh.

As I wrote before, "Sogi" is cut diagonally in the way of cutting bamboo, and the one that is cut flat is "Shroto". This is flattened the top cut with "sogi" for safety.

The main building store was decorated with a real big black pine, and I was surprised. A lot of customers were taking pictures.

Inspired by the sake of Komono barrel, I wanted to toast with sake.

The show window is decorated with slaughterhouses, and the mood is in sake mode.

Please enjoy yourself with delicious sake this year as well.

The 95th Hakone Ekiden (Tokyo Hakone Roundtrip University Ekiden Race)

[Sam] January 5, 2019 09:00

DSC08252ELS'.jpgDSC08263RS'G.jpg Hakone Ekiden (Tokyo Hakone Roundtrip University Ekiden Race), sponsored by the Kanto Student Association of Athletic Federations and co-hosted by the Yomiuri Shimbun, usually held for two days on January 2 and 3.

The live broadcast of TV since 1987 (complete live broadcast of all sections since 1989) has increased its name recognition and recognition, and now it has a feeling that it has become a feature of New Year and a major event.

The Nihonbashi area, which is crowded with New Year shoppers, about 1 km in front of Otemachi in the goal, which is a passing course only on the return route, is a watching point where any player can squeeze his last power and show a fierce run.

Support is also helpful.

In the 95th tournament, Toyo University won the outbound trip with a new record, Aoyama Gakuin University won the return trip with a new record, and Tokai University won the overall championship with a new record, and a high-level tournament with a strong school competing. Was.

2019 Wako "New Year's Bell"

[Sam] January 4, 2019 14:00

DSC08201ELS'.jpgDSC08205RS'G.jpg In response to the voice of "I want to welcome the beginning of the new year with the bell of Ginza 4-chome," Wako's "New Year Bell" has been implemented since 1983.

On the evening of December 31, when the number of neons decreased and calmed down, 45 seconds before the New Year, the Westminster chime of the Wako clock tower began playing a prologue in 2019.

When the chime finishes ringing, the moment when the first hit of the 12 o'clock bell rings after the lingering sound is exactly the beginning of the New Year, 2019.

Along with the countdown chorus, the Wako clock tower and the entire main building are lit up, and its appearance emerges in the night sky of Ginza. Lighting time: 0:00~0:20

The bell tells the New Year, and the shutter of the Wako show window facing the intersection opens, and the message "Happy new year" is attached to celebrate the beginning of the last year of Heisei.

[Sam] January 4, 2019 14:00

DSC08247ELS'.jpgDSC08241'RS'G.jpg In the New Year, the New Year's Day 3 is lit at Tokyo Tower from 20:00 to 22:00 on New Year's Day, and the annual limited light-up "Diamond Vere Ribbon Gold" is lit.

From 16:00 to 24:00, "2019" is displayed on the south side of the main deck (Shinagawa area).

This is a limited light-up that directs the arrival of the New Year with a message of hope and celebration on the yellow ribbon gold seen from the Sumida River Terrace in Kachidoki.

Sunset-20:00, 22:00-At dawn, landmark lights are lit.

New Year's Day will be open from 6:00 to enjoy the divine "first sunrise" seen from Tokyo Bay. The first 2019 visitors from observation deck will receive a commemorative medal with the "2019.1.1" stamp.

The new year worshipping of Tower grand shrine, which has been temporarily transferred to the 3rd floor of Foottown due to the construction of the main deck (originally located in the highest place in the 23 wards), is also exciting.
