BAY HOTEL GINZA Footbath is a friendly and common hotel.

[Ginzo] 12:00 on June 28, 2016

Today, after walking around the garden at Hamarikyu, I came to Ginza Tokimeki Bridge.

I mentioned before about the origin of "Ginza Tokimeki Bridge", but "In the early Edo period, Ieyasu Tokugawa ordered Izumo 240,000 stones Yoshiharu Horio to build land around this area, and the area around Ginza 8-chome was later called Izumocho. Was later called. (・・。 The following is abbreviated.) "After seeing its origins,

By the way, after this, I thought about how to enjoy silver bra, and when I looked under my eyes, there was a building called BAY HOTEL GINZA in the place where Ginza Clinic used to be. Yes, I remember that it was rebuilt about a year ago. I just passed a few times ago, but today I found something like an aquarium at the entrance. Yes, this is footbath. This footbath can be used not only by guests but also by ordinary people passing by. I'm happy. Next to it is a shop called "HANABI Boiled Tavern Lamen". The next door is a convenience store.

"Footbath" is grateful to keep it a little clean after walking around the city, taking off your shoes and going to the banquet hall.

Also, hotel rates are very cheap, so I think it is convenient as a place to stay in an emergency area. Please use it at the same time.

The new Hagi ware where colors dance! Mitsukoshi and Tsukasa Kaneko Ceramic Exhibition "Kyoka Mizuki"

[Shibainu] 12:00 on June 27, 2016

DSC_6859.jpg

Do you know Hagi potter "Tsukasa Kaneko" who is attracting attention right now?

Speaking of Hagi ware, wabisabi. What is the opposite of flashy. Meanwhile, the pop, cute and slightly poisonous color Hagi ware appears. The Hagi ware, which has often been talked about among lovers, is the work of Tsuji Kaneko! The exhibition and sales event of Tsukasa Kaneko was held in Ginza Mitsukoshi.

DSC_6860.jpg

There's a gacha too.

Kaneko is from Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, and still has an atelier in Hagi City. It's often talked about, but it's hard to actually see it in Tokyo. It has already ended in Ginza Mitsukoshi, but exhibition sales will begin in late July at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi! Prior to that, I would like to introduce Kaneko's work.

DSC_6863.jpg

First of all, this is the popular teapot.

There is a tea strainer net inside, so you can put tea leaves as it is. And the lid can be purchased freely. It's easy to hold and all are cute.

Next, the big dishes. Please take a look at it. It is very elaborate, made by hanging paint one drop and rotating 360 degrees.

DSC_6862.jpg

And here!

Little size set for tea cups and saucers. It is said that it was made as a milk pitcher, but it can also be used for children. The price is also affordable, so it would be nice if you arrange it in a full set and give it a gift.

DSC_6880.jpg

What a kaleidoscope this is.

This exhibition "Kyoka Suigetsu" is a word that expresses the ephemeral and beautiful things, the beauty that cannot be grasped, and the depth that cannot be explained, but the main theme is the kaleidoscope. The world you can see when you look into this beautiful kaleidoscope...Have fun with those who have seen it!

DSC_6866.jpg

Looking at the image above, can you see that the light is transparent?

Among the works exhibited and sold this time, there is a series of "Hagi ware that is transparent like glass" made of new materials. In fact, what a strange feeling is. As if the soil is clear...。 And it was made using this material.↓

DSC_6874.jpg

This is a lampshade.

There are a number of exhibits, from small stand-type to large umbrella-types that can accommodate living rooms. It is a soft and eye-friendly light.

DSC_6882.jpg

There are also fashionable mushrooms!

How was it?

Even though it is colorful and gorgeous, it has a unique wabi and dignified atmosphere unique to Hagi ware. The real thing has no flashy impression at all.

Of course, this coloring and pattern composition cannot be done with a brush. How is it going?...? If you are wondering, please ask Kaneko at the venue. "Oh, I see...Was that right?...It will be!"

This is Kaneko's Hagi Atelier. It's very fashionable.

DSC_4503.jpg

I've seen a demonstration here before. Very funny, I want to try it myself! It was a beautiful work that seemed to be. I'm glad you have a workshop in Tokyo....。

How was the "Kyoka Mizuki Tsukasa Kaneko Ceramic Exhibition" that I told you with a lot of images? All pottery that can be used daily, and the price starts from several thousand yen. The event will be held at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi from late July. This work is hard to see in Tokyo, so if you are interested, please check it out!

[Authentic cooking class!] Ginza Fujita (Ginza 8-chome)

[Dye] 16:00 on June 24, 2016

It's a rainy season. I feel that summer will not come when I see the sunny weather.

By the way, this time, I would like to introduce the cooking class that I attended for nearly a year.

The Japanese restaurant "Ginza Fujita" in Ginza 8-chome is an adult restaurant that is usually used for entertainment, but cooking classes are held every Saturday and weekday daytime.

The professional will tell you directly, and you can do it all alone! (It is not made in a group) is this characteristic.

s30_01.jpg s30_02.jpg

It is the first basement floor of the 3rd Soire de Building located alongside Hakuhinkan.

s30_03.jpg

It seems that it was a classroom that started with the hope of knowing the joy of cooking and the joy of entertaining important people in cooking, and a total of 800 students have already been produced in 10 years.

The teacher is a general who loves cooking and is always ambitious, and a former bandman and a whip master (!?) craftsman. Teachers have a sense of humor and they always laugh in the classroom.

Here, we will tell you the basics of Japanese food and tips for cooking, such as how to take soup stock, how to judge fish, and how to select ingredients.

However, he also told me that there is no text, the fun of arranging, the points to be suppressed, and the dishes are not rigid and can be made while thinking more.

s30_14.jpg s30_16.jpg

The ingredients are very good, so you can learn the points of quality based on this.

s30_11.jpg s30_25.jpg

s30_10.jpg s30_08.jpg

From standard to elaborate...

For the first hour, you will learn while watching the teacher's demonstration, and for the rest of the hour and a half, you will actually make it yourself.

s30_04.jpg s30_05.jpg

In a classroom lecture, 'Fumufumu. I understand it, but when I actually do it, I say, "What is it? What is it? 。 。

So it's very wonderful to be able to do the whole trip alone like this classroom. If you don't know, the teacher will look at it immediately, and there is a lot of interaction with your neighbors.

Moreover, in one lesson, it repeats like training, so you will permeate on the spot to some extent.

For example, listen to Shizuka Kudo, judge 10 horse mackerel inadvertently, repeat 5 times while tasting mackerel boiled, 3 cups of squid and shred (practice how to move a kitchen knife), break 24 eggs with one hand to make 6 eggs...

It may be difficult, but the teacher is very kind and the conversation occurs naturally, so I can laugh while laughing ('▽ `*)

s30_06.jpg s30_07.jpg

It is transformed into a fluffy horse mackerel.

After making it, tasting time. Flowers are blooming here too.

And every time Ebisu service

s30_12.jpg s30_22.jpg

There is a lot to make, so I often take it home without eating everything.

Children are very honest, so I can really eat souvenirs in this classroom (^ ^;)

s30_17.jpg s30_18.jpg

Taro Masanao.

Originally, I wanted to go to a cooking class to make baby food for my little boy at home, "I don't know how to take soup stock....。 I want my kids to eat something right. "I thought, but more than that, I realized that it was fun to cook!"

Beginner edition → After going to the intermediate version, many people will take the beginner version again. The time of the classroom once a month is fun and fulfilling, so you want to repeat it. Maybe I’ll do that too [laughs].

If you are interested, please call the store. (Phone: 03-3572-5601)

Lunch with shaved ice ★Beer liquor shop Rupurin

[Map★] 09:00 on June 24, 2016

In front of Pierre Marcolini on West Fifth Avenue Street in Ginza
Walk toward 6-chome, and it's on the third floor of Urano Building on the right.
The sign of the building says "ru".

And at the entrance of the first floor, there was a menu written on the blackboard.

A shop that came out when I looked up with shaved ice on the net.
I don’t think I can ask for shaved ice alone.
You can put it on a lunch of 1500 yen for half shaved ice size of 500 yen.
The shaved ice here seems to be natural shaved ice.

On this day, there are two kinds of tomatoes and roasted matcha.

IMG_20160615_132711.jpg

My friend made me roasted green tea with tomatoes.
It is sweet like black honey and contains grains in it.
But it was delicious with a light sweetness.

For lunch, I'd like mirin dried mackerel.
I don't want to get fat.
It's like miso soup like a boiled dish
Vegetables are packed around and almost maitake mushrooms (laughs)

IMG_20160615_124547.jpg

I'm not good at maitake mushrooms, so I left almost nothing.
But it was a very healthy lunch!
