It was really delicious! "Japan's best Bon Odori"

[Hanes] August 11, 2018 18:00

Hello. This is a new correspondent, Hanes.
For the first time this year, I went to the Tsukiji Honganji Noryo Bon Dance Festival, which was held from August 1st to 4th, "Japan's Delicious Bon Dance".

First of all, because it was selected as one of the Eight Views of the Night Views of Chuo-ku, I was excited to see how impressive the night view was.
It was already crowded with so many people, and I was surprised!
For those who want to enjoy eating and drinking slowly while watching Bon Odori, the stairs leading to main hall seem to be popular.

DSC_2568-.jpg

If you want to stop by temporarily, do Bon Odori, or eat a variety of things.
The table and chair placed under the stairs for this Bon Dance period are perfect.

IMG_0005.jpg

Tsukiji Honganji is always fine, and I want to take pictures without fail.
During this period, it was a special night view with the addition of Bon Odori decorations.

IMG_0002.JPG

At the costume dance festival on the 3rd, you can wear the glittering appearance of ancient Egyptian pharaao.
Wearing famous drinks, costumes of famous characters, and full-body tights
People in really unique costumes gathered!

The light of lanterns illuminate the darkness, the sound of drums echoing in the summer sky, and the many ondos that blow off the heat.
Scent of exquisite gourmet that floats softly...This is the summer of Chuo-ku, isn't it?

BDF1.jpg

And about "delicious" that I am worried about,
Tsukiji Kyotomi, Torito, Foxes, Sushi Fresh, etc. introduced earlier
There are a lot of Tsukiji shops that you can see as "delicious" just by listening to the name!

BDF.jpg

There are only high-level stalls that have never been seen at the fireworks festival or the Summer Festival.
After a while, I lost my eyes for a while, I chose the stewed beef of Tsukiji foxya.
(*Nanami pepper can be served as you like. Don't worry because it doesn't take so much!)

DSC_2599.JPG

It tastes good, so it's rich, and I'm convinced that there is a line!
Even though it is a dish of a famous restaurant, it is reasonable compared to a regular stall with one coin or less.
Yes, all the delicious food here can be enjoyed at a reasonable price than expected.

After that, I had a tuna menchikatsu that can be easily eaten.
I don't have gravy because it's tuna, but it's still quite juicy.
The taste of tuna was generously clogged inside the clothes.

DSC_2579.JPG

You can use the sauce as you like, but if you don't need it, you can use it for a reasonable salt content.
You should groan unintentionally, "Tsukiji has delicious food!"

"What is the best Bon Odori in Japan?"
"Isn't the delicious thing of Tsukiji really expensive?"
Tsukiji Honganji Bon Dance Festival, which I visited for the first time with such a question....
Rather than betraying expectations, there was more delicious and impressive than expected.
Even if you haven't been to this Bon Odori yet, we can recommend it with confidence!
Why don't you enjoy summer while eating delicious food at Tsukiji next year?

I want to go every year! “Honey Festa 2018” (Part 2)

[Hanes] August 10, 2018 09:00

Hello. This is a new correspondent, Hanes.
This time, we will continue to focus on "Honey Festa 2018" and introduce a number of interesting Honey honey in Asia, including the honey collection environment and the situation of honey hunters.

■Glory Trading Co., Ltd.
Website: http://www.glory-shop.jp/

What was sold here was a collection of stress-free bees that were not kept in wooden boxes.
Himalaya honey collected by honey hunters without damaging bees without smoking with smoke.
And it is given to 100% organic substances that have not been detected, such as pesticides or herbicides.
Glyphosate (a component of herbicide) is certified free of charge.
Bees fly around, so even if they do not use herbicides on their own premises.
Out when used around
Therefore, it seems that it is very difficult to obtain this certification.

HF9.jpg thumbnail image

The chocolate honey patty (a bite-sized chocolate with a blend of 100% cacao and white honey and a natural flavor) sold out this time、Although it is low calorie without sugar、It contains minerals, enzymes and polyphenols、It seems to be high nutritional value! I'm worried.

■Cital
Website: http://www.e-sitar.jp/

This booth is full of wild black honey that was imported directly from India!
The feature is that it has the power of condensed the blessings and greatness of the earth.
About half the amount of ordinary honey, it can produce a flavor that removes the good scent of honey from the nose.
For business use, they also buy cake shops for Baumkuchen and financiers.

HF22.jpg

I have never personally associated honey from India, but I have never thought of it.
The history of honey collection at Mel Gart, the inner part of the Decan Plateau, dates back to around 15,000 to 11,000 BC, and I was surprised that the mural painted at that time saw honey collection.

It is a collection of honey that has been done for such a long time.
Through the protection of the poor tribes proposed by Ganddy and the establishment of the Central Bee Research and Training Institute.
For hunters who had been collecting honey while being stabbed by a bee without protection.
Helmets and protective clothing were provided, so that they could work safely.
Sales of black honey in Japan may also contribute to such safety.

Finally, some people wonder why they are "black" honey.
When I took advantage of questions from other visitors and listened to the story, honey containing sap containing the blessings of forests such as minerals due to the pollen of flowers called parache, became golden when matured. It seems to change from black brown.
It's a study, and it's interesting.

■Eurasia Trading Co., Ltd.
Website: http://www.the-silkroad.jp/

In recent years, we have gradually penetrated mainly by women in the past few years.
However, I think many people have never heard of nail honey yet.
In fact, the honey is popular among the wealthy because it is also prized as a gift to the royal family.
It seems that it is exported to the west from Arab countries and does not easily enter Japan.

The precious honey "Cidal honey" introduced here is "Cidal Honey"
Because it is non-heated, the enzyme is effective enough, and it is perfect not only for eating but also for packs!

HF24.jpg

Because it can be packed in the amount of rice grain size, it is said that even small bottles of honey will last for 3 months.
It's a great deal, so I put my hands on my face and packed them.
After packing with rose water, you can use it.
The sticky feeling of honey is strange at all, so I am surprised!
It seems to have a moisturizing effect, so I decided to check it again.

■Impressions
This time, until I went to "Honey Festa"
Honey was thinking of "honey" together.
However, in this way, we can sample and listen to the story behind the collection.
By reading a brochure with honey tips, you can read them.
It was found that the taste, aroma and color differ depending on the location, flower, single flower nectar or hundred flower nectar.
Honey...It's deeper and interesting than I expected.

And in the town of Ginza, where many flowers are not blooming, there is no such thing.
I'm increasingly worried about what kind of honey can be collected!

HF2018.jpg

This event is something that can be enjoyed by anyone who likes honey or beginners like me.
If you couldn't go this time, please come and visit us next year.

However, good news for those who say "I can't wait until next year"!
Outside of the festival venue, there are monthly hands-on courses where you can learn various ways to use honey in beauty and food, so you can enjoy learning about honey.
If you participate in the festival after attending the course, you will be able to taste honey more professionally.
I'm curious too

Handbill. jpg

Click here to download the course flyer from August to November.

The course will be held in the seminar room of the Japan Honey Meister Association, which is a 7-minute walk from Kayabacho Station and a 9-minute walk from Suitengumae Station.
If you are interested, why not try participating in sightseeing around you?

※This article has been approved by the person in charge of the Japan Honey Meister Association and each booth.
※Regarding "honey" and "honey" notation, we use notation at each booth as much as possible.

Have you ever eaten lever fried?

[Yo-chan] August 8, 2018 18:00

1 First

Speaking of Tsukishima, "Monjayaki" is famous, but lever fry (or meat fry in the past) is a food that was originally devised in Tsukishima and is loved only by residents of Tsukishima. In the era of food shortages after the war, as a cheap and nutritious food, cows and pig livers were sliced thinly, breadcrumbs were added, fried, and passed through a secret sauce. "Hisagoya Abe" was ranked 15th in the Tsukuda edition of "Ad Street Heaven" on TV Tokyo in July 2010, and 4th in the Tsukishima edition broadcast in January 2012 as lever fly. It's a reasonable price of less than 200 yen for take-out. About 10 years ago, there were 4 to 5 houses, but now there are only two houses, Hisagoya Abe and Take-out royal road. I would like to introduce these two shops.

2 Introduction of shops

 (1) Hisago and Abe

This is the original lever fly, founded in 1949, at the foot of Aioi Bridge at 3-1-12 Tsukuda, Chuo-ku. Put a bamboo skewer on one side of the pork liver sliced in about 5cm square, fry it in oil, and pass it to the secret sauce. 150 yen per bottle, business hours are from 11:00 to 13:00 / 15:00 to 18:30, regular holidays: Sunday, national holiday, first Monday

p-Hisagoya Abe 3 (2.) jpgp-Hisagoya Abe 1.jpgp-Lever fly. jpg

(2) The royal road of taste

It is a new lever fly of the royal road style at 1-16-5 Tsukishima, Chuo-ku. Paste the pork liver, add breadcrumbs, and soak in the fried sauce without stabbing it on a skewer. Take-out is 180 yen per sheet (220 yen if ordered in the store), business hours are 18:00 on weekdays / 15:00 on weekends and holidays.

3 Others

There are also izakayas near Tsukishima that serve lever fry. The famous lever fly in the back of Tsukishima. Please enjoy it when you stop by Tsukishima.

I want to go every year! “Honey Festa 2018” (Part 1)

[Hanes] August 8, 2018 09:00

Hello. This is a new correspondent, Hanes.
Did you know that honey can be collected in Ginza?
In fact, beekeeping is being carried out on the roof of the paper pulp hall as the "Ginza Bee Project".

For this reason, the Paper and Pulp Hall is organized by the Japan Honey Meister Association every year.
The "Honey Festa" is held with the aim of "spreading honey" and "more utilizing honey".
This time, I would like to introduce the honey that was particularly impressive than this festival I visited for the first time this year.

HF0-.jpg

■Mine Snow Sake Brewery Co., Ltd.
Website: http://minenoyuki.com/

Here, we handled Mead (brewed sake made by fermenting honey).
Mead, who was said to be an "indead drink" (probably close to "Yomeishu") in ancient Celtic culture, drank for the first time while studying abroad.
I was impressed by the depth of history and the tradition of brewing technology, and I was impressed after returning to Japan.
I didn't know that it became a drink that is becoming popular in Japan now!

HF20.jpg
(Shooted in Wales, 2016)

Unlike European Mead, which is made by mixing herbs and spices.
I tasted several kinds such as Mead "Kaori" made only with yeast.
It is not too sweet and has an elegant finish and is not mixed with extra items.
The feature is that the flavor of honey is sufficiently enhanced.
The Mead made with such a unique method is partly called Japanese Mead.
It has been selected as one of the "10 Nippon Shokuhin Selections Selected by American Journalists" and seems to have been highly evaluated overseas.

And this time, I would like to pay attention to the "Mead & Wine" that can be purchased at a reasonable price.
Mead made from honey of Tochinohana, a specialty of the Aizu region,
It seems that it is a liquor made by blending 100% Niagara from Nagano Prefecture with the golden ratio!
Even in Mead, the brewing method, blending method, land pattern, etc.
Even overseas people can enjoy Japanese Mead with fresh feelings.

■Hanazono Bee Farm
Website: http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~hanazonoyoho/

Located near the Chichibu Mountains, this beekeeping farm is characterized by its commitment to bee-making.
They have a lot of rare kinds of honey.
canola flower, Yamakuri, Yamafuji, Soba, Bodhi tree, etc.
This time I sampled oranges and yamazakura honey.
Among them, I especially recommend yamazakura honey.

IMG_9864.JPG

Taking advantage of the elevation difference unique to yamazakura, if the lower flowers fall, the upper flowers bloom.
It seems that honey is carefully collected over a month to bloom one after another.
However, they can only get a small amount because they are collected while still cold....
The worrisome taste is that the soft flavor of the cherry blossoms remains in your mouth.
It was a taste that can be said to be a honey unique to Japan.

■Takakura New Sangyo Blue Hills Honey Co., Ltd.
Website: http://www.takakura.co.jp/

Here it blooms only in Tasmania, where nectar can be harvested only after 100 years.
He handled honey collected from rare white flowers called leather wood.
This honey has the same bactericidal action as Manuka honey and seems to be good for beauty.
Since we started importing in the fall of last year, it is still rare.
It is now available in Japan!

HF8.jpg

However, it is said that the existence was already known in some parts more than 20 years ago....
The reason for this is because it was introduced in the manga "Oishinbo".
At that time, it was not available in Japan yet, so the author went to the site and went there.
It is said that he tasted this "phantom life honey".
It seems that it is currently sold at Isetan and cosmetics kitchens, so I would like to try it once.

■Nana honey
Website: http://nanahoney.com/

In the contest "Honey of the Year"*, which selects the highest award at the Taiwan Long-eye Honey Competition and the most delicious honey.
Taiwanese honey is popular in Japan, which won the Excellence Award in 2016 and the highest award in the overseas category in 2017.
(* This is the fourth time this year, and the results were announced on August 3 (Honey's Day). Click here for the results of this year!
The deep and rich honey made from 21 years of umeboshi is used.
If you drink it with hot water, you will get rid of your cold.
In addition, I was also worried about "Biyakuzen Honey" containing figs, dried plums, nutme, dragon eye meat, etc.!

HF21.jpg

"Honey Festa" where honey with a focus on this way gathered together....
Have you already had any honey?
In Part 2, we will introduce some Asian honey that is historically interesting.

Italian with abundant lunch menu in Shintomi-cho [Trattoria detask]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] August 7, 2018 14:00

I'm Tratria detask, an Italian restaurant on the first floor of Manko Building, Shintomi 2-chome.

The blue sign is a landmark.

From Monday to Friday, lunch is open from 11:30 to 14:00, dinner from 17:45 to 22:30, and Saturday is open only for dinner, from 17:30 to 21:00. Sunday and public holidays are closed.

task201801.JPG

There are plenty of lunch menu here.

Today, I ordered an Arabiata hot spring egg.

The number of "hot spring eggs" is limited.

task201802.JPG

There is salad on the lunch menu.

There is also a fresh amount of vegetables, so you can enjoy the crispy feeling.

It goes well with dressing.

task201803.JPG

Arabiata is a spicy sauce that tastes the sourness and sweetness of tomatoes. The scent of garlic also stimulates appetite.

Adding onsen tamago will soften the spicy sauce.

Smoothness of homemade pasta, good texture

It seems that he uses raw noodles made of 100% durum semorina powder.

task201804.JPG

This pasta is perfect for summer.

This shop with plenty of lunch menu, with lunch rotation, I will come again.
