"Yaku ancestor patron Festival"

[Kra-san] 12:00 on October 21, 2015

The Nihonbashihoncho area prospered as a drug wholesaler district that began in the Edo period, and many pharmaceutical companies are still gathering today. The Yaku ancestor patron Festival was held in Nihonbashihoncho on October 16 (Friday).

In 1908 (Meiji 41), the Tokyo Pharmaceutical Trade and Commerce Association (currently the Tokyo Pharmaceutical Affairs Association) welcomed the spirit of medicine from Gojoten Shrine (Taito Ward) and held in Nihonbashihoncho. From 1929 (Showa 4), the Yaku ancestor patron Company was built on the roof of the office building, and the festival wasancestor patron. After 1954 (Showa 29), a celebration was formed to make it a local event as well as the pharmaceutical industry, and in 1983 (Showa 58), a new shrine hall was built on the roof of the newly completed Showa Pharmaceutical Trade Building.

A ceremony was held at Yaku ancestor patron on the rooftop of Showa Pharmaceutical Trade Building at 13:30. After that, general worship was held from 15:30 to 18:30, and a long line of worshipers was formed in front of the Showa Pharmaceutical Trade Building. The lucky decoration "Shinko" is said to be distributed to all members, and the "votive lantern" with the name of the member is arranged and lit. On the street of the Showa Pharmaceutical Trade Building, a special stall was set up, and the sound of the flute and drum of the "Obayashi" excited the festival.

For worshipers, sacred wine and soup flour were served, as well as Fukubiki, where many pharmaceutical companies offered prizes, and "Fukubukuro" was distributed to those who won the lottery. The Nihonbashihoncho area was very crowded with people visiting medicine ancestor patron.

Cafe in Ginza (2)

[CAM] 09:00 on October 21, 2015

In 1910 (1910), the first cafe in Tokyo, "Maison Konosu" opened in Koamicho, Nihonbashi-ku, as "Ginza has regained its liveliness through the reconstruction project." In March of the following year, Ginza's first cafe "Cafe Plantin" opened, and in August of the same year, a three-story "Cafe Lion" opened on the corner of present Ginza 5-chome. ・・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ In the Taisho era, the success of "Cafe Lion" became a buzzword, and cafes opened one after another in Ginza Brick Street. Ginza is going to enter a gorgeous era with the scent of Taisho romance." (page 122), "Ginza's first cafe" was "Cafe Plantin".

"Cafe Plantin" was opened by Shozo Matsuyama from Tokyo Bijutsu School and is located at 20 Hiyoshicho, Kyobashi-ku, Tokyo (currently 8-6-24 Ginza, Chuo-ku, near Ginza Kaikan). It was named by Kaoru Osanai, the counselor.

At the beginning of the Showa era, it became a customs business exclusively for women's entertainment, but until then, cafes were also served as restaurants, bars, and coffee shops.

"Maison Konosu" was close to Western restaurants, but "Cafe Plantin" served coffee and Western sake, and dishes served rare menus such as sausage and macaroni gratin. Later, grilled sandwiches became a specialty.

Tokyo after the earthquake (1)

[CAM] 19:00 on October 20, 2015

In the Monoshiri Encyclopedia, Chapter 2, the section entitled "Townscape Revivaled from the Great Kanto Earthquake" refers to "Ginza, which has regained its liveliness through the earthquake reconstruction project." (page 122)

It is stated here that "a famous department store has entered Ginza, where access has been significantly improved, and it has begun to accept a wide range of customers," but it was after the Great East Japan Earthquake (1923 and 1923).

For example, Matsuzakaya in Ueno opened a branch in Ginza in 1924, the oldest department store in Ginza, and it was the first department store to try to enter Doshi.

It was in May 1925, about a year and a half after the earthquake, that the Matsuya Kimono Store in Kanda Imagawa Bridge and the current Matsuya Department Store opened the Ginza Sales Office in Ginza 3-chome. The company name was changed to "Matsuya Kimono Store Co., Ltd." in 1924, and it was in 1948 that the company name was changed to "Matsuya Co., Ltd."

Furthermore, in June 1928, Mitsukoshi, Ltd.'s clothing store changed its trade name to Mitsukoshi, Ltd., and opened the Ginza store in April 1930. Thus, there were three department stores, Matsuya, Matsuzakaya, and Mitsukoshi.

In 1932, the Hattori Clock Store Building (now Ginza Wako Main Store) was completed, which is a symbol of Ginza. "Rebuilding was planned during the Taisho era, but construction was significantly delayed due to the effects of the Great Kanto Earthquake. As a result, a steel-framed reinforced concrete building with enhanced earthquake resistance was born” (Monoshiri Encyclopedia; page 38).

Cosmetics Counter for Foreign Tourists [Matsuya Ginza]

[The Minnie Cricket] 15:00 on October 20, 2015

As I was walking along the street behind Matsuya Ginza Main Store in Ginza 3-chome, there was a very prominent bright red gate.

touris11.JPG

Matsuya Ginza Main Store is the entrance to the 2nd floor of the East Building of the Tourist Shop and Lounge, a cosmetic counter for foreign tourists, which has been newly established to strengthen inbound measures.

touris12.JPG

It opened on September 30th.

In addition, it seems that we will set up a reception counter for ordering services using the Internet.

This will provide a system that allows customers from overseas to book and order products online before coming to Japan, which will shorten the purchase time and enable efficient shopping.

At each counter, there seems to be a bilingual sales staff who speak Chinese and English, and the level of international service in the retail industry is progressing very quickly.

A hideaway French in Ginza ★Ranfankueku

[Map★] 12:00 on October 20, 2015

The 2nd French Restaurant Week,
With French class people, go to Laan Fang Kueku in Ginza 7-chome!
Raanfan is a child, and Kueku is a shop with a heart and heart, especially heartful name.

RIMG1787.JPG RIMG1783f.JPG

Madame and the chef came and wrote that he would make only five sets a day.
I was attracted to it and made a reservation.
Even if you eat this much shop in Ginza,
Ginza is a place where there are many shops that I don't know yet.

Madame was very nice, and my friend was lost for about 30 minutes.
The staff will pick you up, and everyone at the shop is very kind.

There is a semi-private room inside, but it is a very small and wonderful shop.
The name of the shop is heart and heart, so the heart is used in the logo.
There was also a mark on the plate.

The first amuse was pumpkin soup. It was hot and relaxed and delicious.
The appetizer is salmon, and the sauce of spring chrysanthemum is rare.
I thought it was bitter, but it was delicious without that!

RIMG1778f.JPG RIMG1779f.JPG

And the main dish was packed with millets in French chicken.
Certainly, it's Barotine that you stuffed it and baked the skin crisply.
This main dish was delicious - there was also volume,
It was perfect with Keel Royale.

RIMG1780f.JPG RIMG1781f.JPG

Dessert is a purple potato pound cake and vanilla gelato. It tasted like purple potatoes (*^^*)
I was able to relax like my own house, and I stayed quite long.

On this day, I wore my favorite pink embroidery dress,
Madame wants to make the restaurant gorgeous with nice clothes.
It was so impressive that you thanked me (*^^*)

I want to go at night and drink lots of wine.♪
