Introduction of walking course

Introduction map of the course. jpg

St Luke's Garden, Henry Falls Stone Monument, Tsukiji Catholic Church, Sumida River Terrace, Kachidokibashi, Namiki Shrine, Tsukiji Outer Market

The characteristics of this course are the first half and the second half, and the state of the town changes dramatically.
The first half is a calm and quiet environment from the vicinity of Akashicho to the Sumida River Terrace. In the latter half, when I came to Kachidokibashi and Harumi-dori St., I changed my mind.

You can feel the busyness of the Tsukiji market as the traffic of cars and people increases.

St Luke's Garden
I remember that there was a dormitory for nurses or nursing college students before.
For a while after completion, there was a free observation room on the high floor and I could see it far away.
It is now closed. The night view was especially beautiful and free, but it was a shame.

Henry Falls Stone Monument
Henry Falls conducted a fingerprint study here and published it in a scientific journal.
Since then, this research has been useful in criminal investigations and crime prevention.
We also conducted medical activities, but Akashicho was a foreign settlement.
We opened a clinic in Minami-Odawara-cho (I think it is around 6.7-chome Tsukiji now).
This "Odawara-cho" has a "Odawara-cho police box" located at Tsukiji 6-chome Harumi-dori St., and the name of the town at that time was
You can know it.

Tsukiji Catholic Church
There was once a kindergarten in this church and it was called Josef Kindergarten.
Actually, I was a graduate of Josef kindergarten, and I called this cathedral a temple.
I still remember that the stained glass on the front is beautiful. (I don't remember what it was.)
It is said that the name of the Mido of the Tsukiji Catholic Church is "St Joseph".

St. Luke's International Hospital
The current St. Luke International Hospital was completed in 1992, but the symbolic center of the former hospital was preserved.
There is a chapel inside, and flies and rats are drawn on the tiles on the floor.

I was wondering, but it seems that you can trampl on these unsanitary things that transmit infectious diseases with your feet.

Sumida River Terrace
The Sumida River embankment was formerly called razor dike and was separated from the river. However, at that time
(Before 1970), the smelly water was dark and dirty, so I didn't want to approach it.
Now I recommend it for a walk as I introduce it here. I think it's a drama.
Photography is also taking place.
I think it was until around 1970, but the Sumida River water bus company was behind Mr. Jisaku, and the ship was moored.
The name of the ship was "Urashima Maru, Ryugu Maru, Otohime Maru" named after Urashima Taro.

Kachidokibashi - Outer Market
From the Sumida River Terrace to Kachidokibashi and Harumi-dori St., it is full of vitality as if you came to another town.
As you know, the outside market from Namiki Shrine is not only Japanese but also overseas customers.
I enjoy shopping and eating.

Yagenbori Kodankai & Yagenbori Mobility Shopping Street 2015

[Ginzo] 16:00 on October 26, 2015

The 4th "Yagenbori Kodankai" was held on October 23 at Yagenbori Fudoin in Yagenbori, Higashinihombashi and Yagenbori, the birthplace of the Kodan.

1445647802951.jpg

The event is sponsored by Higashinihombashi Yagenbori Shoten Association, sponsored by Yagenbori Fudoin, Higashi Nihonbashi 2-chome Town Association, and Yagenbori Toshi City Preservation Society.

Performed by Teika Ichiryusai and Tsuru Momonokawa.

First of all, Mrs. Tsuru Momonokawa talked about the relationship between talks and "Hato Bus", and a human story related to the Tamagawa brothers who drew Tamagawajosui in Edo was presented.

Everyone was dreaming of listening to the voices that passed well for two distances from the audience seats and about five in the back seat. I was also a little shy.

Shinuchi was a master of Teika Ichiryusai. It starts with the story of town revitalization.

We developed a story about love between a daughter of a teahouse near Ryogoku Hirokoji Temple at the base of Ryogoku Bridge and a young husband-like man who lives around Nihonbashihoncho, and this is an interesting story called a playful drama.

The customer did not have a cough, but was drawn into a hot story and listened to it. This is what you call speech.

I became a fan of the conversation.

On October 23 and 24, there were many shops in the "Yagenbori Mobile Shopping Street" and it was lively.

This time it was night, so please see the lively scenery here.

Woodwilt No. 1 and Halloween

[Satoken] 14:00 on October 26, 2015

On the day when Kiboshi No. 1 blows, I took a look at Happy Halloween on Tsukishima Monja Street.

Children dressed in various fashions carry large bags, go around each shop to get sweets and sta

I was getting a stamp from the dumplings. Some adults were dressed as well.

Spider-Man, Princess, Turtles, etc. I enjoyed it very much.

On the way back, the high-rise apartments seen from the Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge column were rising in the sky without clouds.

The signboard of a long-established Tsukudani shop on Tsukuda Island was also reflected, and I felt the contrast between modern times and history.

It's my favorite scene.

The 43rd Oedo Activity Parade Nihonbashi Kyobashi Festival 2015

[Ginzo] 09:00 on October 26, 2015

The 43rd Oedo Active Parade Nihonbashi / Kyobashi Festival was held grandly on October 25, 2015, and the enthusiasm and spirit of the performers and the backers who support the parade were transmitted. It was a festival.

Oedo Katsuki Plaza was set up in front of Tokyo Square Garden, and from there, the parade proceeded energetically and gracefully to Nihonbashi through Meijiya and Kyobashi Trust Tower.

The parade is an enlightenment march of the “transfer fraud eradication campaign” by brass band of the Tokyo Fire Department, members of the Nihonbashi Fire Department, Life Safety Division of the Central Police Station, and residents of the ward.

"Miss Kaga Yuzen dyeing" waved his hand. I also received a picture at the antenna shop stamp rally last time.

By the way, as I learned today, the mascot character of the Ishikawa Hyakumangoku Monogatari is said to be "Hiyakumansan". The beard of the mascot is Wajima lacquered.
