"Claude Monet Exhibition"
I watched it on the first day of the "Claude Monet Exhibition". When you arrive at the museum around 10:30 am, you will notice that the ticket is sold out at the entrance. Unfortunately, there were many people who left the museum after being told by the staff. I completed the date and time reservation on 1/7 (Wednesday) on the web reservation start date. I was looking forward to the event. By the way, tickets are 2,100 yen for web reservations and 2,500 yen for window sales. I ordered the time! There are two checkpoints for the ticket. It's so popular. I also heard a language other than Japanese. All of Claude Monet's works are fascinating. There were many things that could be taken more than expected, and everyone was enthusiastically photographed. I can't give you a picture on your blog, so by your own eyes. In the hall, a free audio guide can be used by reading the designated QR code with a smartphone. If you want to receive the service, we recommend that you bring your earbuds. You can listen to the free guide on your smartphone. A voice actor Yoshimasa Hosoya is in charge of the audio guide.

Siebold is coming! hey! hey! hey!
I went on the radio. Central FM. It will be the fourth or fifth time. This time, a new program called "Siebold is coming! Yah! Yah! Yah! Yah!" commemorates the 200th anniversary of Siebold Edo Sanfu. I was called as a second guest. The personality is the starring of the stage "Siebold Father and Sonden", Hoeya and JUMI. Tadasuke Sekiguchi, the sixth generation from Siebold, also joined and talked with four people. I got the project in mid-January. It was a rough request to "talk about Siebold and the three wise men of the late Edo period (Tadataka Ino, Yoshitoki Takahashi, Kageyasu Takahashi). To be honest, Siebold and Tadataka Ino knew a little, but they were completely amateurs about Yoshitoki Takahashi and Kageyasu Takahashi. We collected information on the Internet, YouTube, and ChatGPT. Then I saw it. The deep relationship between these three wise men and Siebold. Tadataka Ino became a disciple of Yoshitoki Takahashi, who was 19 years younger than he was 50 years old. At the time, he studied Western astronomy in the bakufu astronomy. The two worked together to promote precise surveying projects throughout Japan, and Tadataka spent his life creating a map of Japan. After his father's death, his son Kageyasu succeeded to the post of astronomy in the bakufu. He devotedly studied Western astronomy and geography. Siebold came to Dejima, Nagasaki in 1823. Tadataka had already died five years ago, and at least 19 years ago. Only Kageho was able to actually interact with Siebold. The latest research by Dr. Teruyuki Kaji of Yokohama College of Pharmacy revealed the truth about the Siebold incident. Traditionally, it has been understood that Siebold wanted a map, and Kageho responded to it, but in fact it was quite the opposite. During the Edo Sanfu in 1826, Kageho asked the chief of Dutch trading post to print copper plates of Inou. Its purpose was to clarify the state of Japan and prepare for foreign defense against the backdrop of the tense external relations symbolized by the Exotic Ship Expulsion Act of 1825. After consulting with the director of the trading house, Gyeongbo visited Siebold's room and showed a map to convey the idea of copperplate printing. In other words, the purpose of Kageyasu's contact with Siebold was not to gain Western knowledge, but to protect Japan by making the world a precise map of Japan completed by Tadataka, a disciple of his father and father, with all his heart and soul. After that, the director of the trading house was replaced, and Kageho entrusted the project to Siebold. This is the truth that a map crossed from Kageho to Siebold in 1827. However, in Japan at that time, the outflow of maps overseas was regarded as a leak of national secrets. In 1828, the Siebold incident took place. Kageyasu was captured and killed in prison. Siebold was deported. Kageho's grand scheme was stalled, and Kageho's death in prison could not confirm the facts, and this truth had been buried for nearly 200 years. I asked Mr. Tadasuke Sekiguchi on the program. The story that a ship was wrecked by the Siebold Typhoon and a map was found in the cargo is said to be a creation of later generations. In fact, it is said that a letter sent by Siebold to Rinzou Mamiya passed to the bakufu, from which investigation entered, and Siebold and related parties were punished. I also heard about Siebold's character. When he was young, he was quite bloody, and there seems to be a record of 33 duels. Even after coming to Japan, there is a record of applying for a duel to Mayor Dutch trading post. Just 200 years ago, Siebold came to Edo from Nagasaki and stayed for about a month. I hope that in this memorable year, the truth of the Siebold incident revealed by Dr. Kaji's research and the achievements of the three wise men will be reaffirmed. Rebroadcast is from 22:00 to 22:30 on February 10 (Tuesday). If you want, listen to it.
