"A man who can't marry yet" and No. 2 Inoue Building (Kayabacho)
It was an interesting drama starring Hiroshi Abe, who celebrated its final episode at the end of last year, "The Man Who Can't Marriage yet" (hereinafter referred to as "Don't"). Of course, depending on the viewer, there may have been pros and cons, but I love comedy that's just a little bit (a little point)."♪
Anyway, it's not the content of the drama, but the location.
In the previous work, "The Man Who Can't Marriage," the Yamani Shoken Building in Kabuto-cho was not only used as a building where Hiroshi Abe's architectural design office resides, but also used as a titleback every time.
In this "Motto", which was set 13 years after the previous work, the location of the architectural design office was changed to a building along Nihon Odori in Yokohama, depending on the scale of management. However, the second Inoue Building in Kayabacho was used as a lawyer's office for Yoko Yoshida, the other leading role.
In fact, it is used not only for the second Inoue Building, "Motto", but also as a location for many dramas, movies, and music PVs. This time, I was able to ask the owner of the 2nd Inoue Building, Kenichi Inoue, president of Inoue Shoji Co., Ltd., for a detailed story, so I would like to introduce that story mainly.
History of the 2nd Inoue Building
The address is 2-17-13, Nihonbashi Kayabacho, Chuo-ku, a building located along the Kamejima River at the base of Reigishi Bridge.
This building was completed in 1927 (1927), a 93-year-old property! It seems that it was built almost at the same time as the Nisshokan Building as one of the reconstruction buildings after the Great Kanto Earthquake (1923). You have been selected as one of the Top 100 Modern Building Surveys in Chuo-ku.
When it was completed, it seemed to have been named "Tsukamoto Building", and from 1952 to 1978 after the war, it was used as the head office building of the Sailor fountain pen. After that, he was an acquaintance from the previous generation, so he acquired this building where President Inoue's father was demolished. In addition to the truck transportation business since 1927, it has become a new face for Inoue Trading, which had been engaged in the rental business.
However, at the beginning, the specifications were still old, so we were not blessed with tenants, and management was somewhat difficult.
It was a turning point in 1989. It seems that the current president made a major renovation of the interior and exterior under the concept of a stylish antique building while taking advantage of the appearance and interior at the beginning of the completion. It was this year that Inoue Shoji founded the "WallStreet" (pictured right) / creative Italian restaurant (now famous for organic dishes and abundant drinks) on the 1st floor.
Since then, it has been attracting attention as a location for dramas, etc., and it is an artist-based resident mainly composed of creators and designers, and is still full.
The location Mecca: No. 2 Inoue Building
There is a movie called "Survey on Common Love" released in 1992 (appearance / Eiji Okuda, Kiminori Sera, Masahiko Tsugawa, etc.), but at this time Wall Street appeared as the site of a certain incident It seems that the beginning of the full-scale location history of Inoue Building.
Since then, it has been used in dozens of dramas and movies, but it seems that it is often used as a lawyer's office. As was the case in 'Not yet', even for relatively recent works.
White Tower (2019)
Devil lawyer Reiji Mikoshiba (2019)
Family Travel (2018)
Women don't allow it (2014)
Step Father Step (2012)
It is all used as a lawyer's office. (The white giant tower is also used in two dramas before 2019 (Fuji TV))
It was also the lawyer's office played by Ryoko Yonekura in "Seicho Matsumoto Drama Special" Suspicion "", which was aired last year and was the last drama of Masahiko Tsugawa.
Most of the images used are part of the exterior and interior view of the building, and shooting on the rooftop, but in 2002, "Syco Doctor Kyosuke Kai" (starring Yutaka Takenouchi), Yutaka Takenouchi's mental clinic was located in the second Inoue Building, and it was a location using all the buildings, including the interior. From the entrance of the building, you can see the stairs, corridors, and rooms. There was also a scene where I opened the office window and looked at the Kamejima River.
Also, "I work for a black company, but I may be the limit anymore" (2009: starring / Tetsuhei Koike) also performed a full-scale location.
Mr. Inoue's story is not exhausted.
President Inoue had a deep connection with Chuo-ku from his grandfather's generation, so not only the story of the No. 2 Inoue Building itself, but also the scenery of Chuo-ku at the time of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, earthquake resistance since the Great Kanto Earthquake We were able to hear many interesting stories about Chuo-ku, such as the history of standards and population issues in Chuo-ku.
