This is rosemary sea, where we conduct action research on "gifts and enjoy yourself."

This time, the 18th edition of the "Shrine Viewing Shrine from Ningyocho Station" series, introduces Ginkgo Hachimangu Shrine (Ichohachimangu).

This is the fifth installment of the shrine series with plant name.

Then...

A long history

enshrined deity is the same as Emperor Ojin and Hachimanjin.

It is a Yahata-style shrine dedicated to Hachimanjin, the god of fortune.

The date of its foundation is unknown, but in the middle of the Edo period, it seems that it was enshrined as a guardian in the residence of the former Fukui clan Tokiwa Bridge Matsudaira.

It is said that the shrine was built and worshiped in 1775.

The company name is said to be derived from the 300-400-year-old large ginkgo tree that was on the precincts at that time.

There is "Ginkgo Inari Shrine" in the precinct shrine.

In Chuo-ku, it is the only "Yahata Shrine" except for Setsue Shrine.

Bungo Junichirou Tanizaki was born and raised nearby, so he wrote in his childhood that the Kagura of Ginkgo Hachimangu Shrine was a pleasure once a month.

Almost in front of the torii gate is the "Ginkgo Inari" of the precincts shrine.

On the right is the spirits of the war dead Monument.

"spirits of the war dead Monument" was built in 1953.

As I introduced on August 4, the tour from Ningyocho Station, a "special recommended spot" of Tokyo Metro x Spot Tour, was devised by rosemary sea.

For more information, please see the article on August 4 or search on "Spot Tour".

However, there are some changes from August 21.

Prior to August 20: Each stamp will not be stamped unless you go around the spot in order.

After August 21: Each stamp will be stamped no matter where you go ahead of the spot.

It's a coincidence.

It is recommended to take a cool tour at dusk.

We look forward to your participation.

Exit A2 of Ningyocho Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line and Toei Asakusa Line, turn right at Ningyocho-dori about 150m to the right in the opposite direction of one-way traffic, at the traffic light intersection of "Suitengumae".

Immediately on the right, there is the entrance of "Chanogi Shrine", but you can still see the ginkgo tree about 200 meters away.

That's Ginkgo Hachimangu Shrine.
