2022 yellow to color the flower garden·Orange-red carpet

In the flower garden of about 3,000 m2 of Hamarikyu Onshi Garden, the season of late summer tradition "Kibana Cosmos" is reached, and it is dyed yellow to orange. Cosmos is a general term for annual plants of the Asteraceae family native to Mexico, and in a narrow sense, it refers to the representative variety "Oharshagiku". The Japanese name is "Akizakura". The leaves are finely cut into feathers, almost thread-like, the flowers (head flowers) consist of ligulate flower and cylindrical flowers, ligulate flower is white to light red to dark red, and the cylindrical flowers are yellow, and originally short-day. Kibana cosmos is a different species, the leaves are sparsely sparse, the fragments are wide, the ligulate flower is yellow or orange, the original short-day is weak, the summer bloom is quite strong, and the midsummer blooms well and bears fruit even during the midsummer season. Kibana Cosmos had only a yellow system, but Masayuki Hashimoto grew a red variety sunset for the first time, and then varieties were born one after another, and the color became richer. The semi-double (half-double-flowered) variety with many valves has a sense of volume. This year, two early-flowering varieties of orange-red "Diaboro" and clear yellow "Dwarf yellow" are planted. Many insects, such as Aosji Ageha and bees, visit in search of flower nectar.
